salam,
i pretty much agree with Brother Herbman's View of the subject. in fact, up to now, his understanding meets mine, but still there are some points to discuss ie. does "sujud" literally means prostration ? does "ruku3" literally means bowing ?
i'll never stop searching until i am very satisfied with what i'd find .

If Allah wants things to be easy for us, why so much confusion about salat?Salam Waqia,
you wrote about a Two very important issues
1- what's Wrong with traditional Salat ??? ( if real salat had to be physical, of course)
2 - is it so important to be " COMPLETLY " different from the traditionalists ??
i am sailing across this forum quite long ago, and still confused '(

Some more challenge for Arab linguistsDisappointed due to the dichotomy between claims to know all without proof of it. Due lack of interest in efforts to understand Rabb's message, despite seeing proof of lack of such understanding. Due lack of appetite in progress and continued apathy in a nation, who has already hit rock bottom of all nations. Who was supposed to be a leader in all fronts of knowledge? Due this lack in knowledge, they can not claim for Rabb to be a rabbi alAAalameen, for them. The list can go on and on.
Peace,
Badar
I can't remember...can you please tell which one of the members claimed ti know all ?? or os this just in your mind ?

According to Ahmadiyya Sect NAMLAH = NAME of a TRIBE ?The narrator is not Allah, nor Sulaiman but a third person who is witnessing the mobilization of Sulaiman's army and describes what he sees, hears etc.
Yes you are right the narrator is not Allah nor Suleiman .
the narrator is Michael Emerson from the TV show LOST . He's very good at that !!!!! and you are completly "LOST IN TRANSLATION"

According to Ahmadiyya Sect NAMLAH = NAME of a TRIBE ?Peace jawad,
Not yet, bro. But thanks for your reply.
you're welcome, i'll always try my best to help people understand what they didn't yet.
Mantiq al Tayr = Human logos (See Lisan al 3arab for the meaning of the word 'tayr'
Second reason is
Quotein the verse 16. It doesn't say that it's a revelation or an insipiration but it seems like a gradual teaching.
That's why we can't say that they were speaking the language of birds because nobody can learn the language of birds gradually.
Ok, and what do you think about this one ?
And He taught Adam all the names, then showed them to the angels, saying Inform Me of the names of these, if ye are truthful.
Quran 231Do you think that Adam was taught "gradually" or by inspiration ?

Some more challenge for Arab linguistsIt seems like, I have asked a very difficult question again.
Peace,
Badar
yes
......
For instance, word means green. However, to make fit a female sense it will be used as .
.......First of all, let me remind you that the rule for sex nouns in arabic (for nouns that have the weight Af3al)
Green (male) =
Green (female) =
Green (plural) =.

According to Ahmadiyya Sect NAMLAH = NAME of a TRIBE ?Peace Mazhar,
That was additional information to cope with this querry
A name is used for whole range of a thing and then each part is isolated. Ant falls in the category which fly with two wings, and he was given the knowledge of language of those which fly with two wings. Ants also do the most "enjoyable thing" while flying. As far as i know, not all the ants fly, nor all the ants have wings.. Only the reproductives do.

According to Ahmadiyya Sect NAMLAH = NAME of a TRIBE ?Peace,
is defined by Grand Qur'aan as all animal kingdom in the Earth and certainly Ant is one species of it. .
sorry, i meant "living ON earth", see my post before -

According to Ahmadiyya Sect NAMLAH = NAME of a TRIBE ?Quickduck, pl don't mind little correction, since it is an important fact mentioned.

Salam Mazhar,
and what about ( ِ ie animals walking on earth ?doesn't the ants fits in that category ?

According to Ahmadiyya Sect NAMLAH = NAME of a TRIBE ?First, the leader of this tribe is a female, like the Queen of Sheba (ْ.
Second, an ant can't recognize a human by his name (ُ.
Obviously, an ant is a ghayr al-3aqil.1 - The rule of Al-3aqil and Ghay Al-3aqil (which was invented further by arabic linguists, BTW) applies ONLY when "Humans" (3aqil) talk about ANIMALS (ghayr Al-3aqil) . Which does not apply in THIS case, because here this Female ant talks to her "fellow" ants. So, this rule doesn't apply to them as they all belong to the same race/gender.
2 - Please read this verse very carefully (6-3
Wamaa min dabbatin fee al-ardiwala ta-irin yateeru bijanahayhi illa omamun amthalukum ma farratna feealkitabi min shay-in thumma ila rabbihim yuhsharoona
There is not an animal (that lives) on the earth, nor a being that flies on its wings, but nations/communities like you. Nothing have we omitted from the Book, and they (all) shall be gathered to their Lord in the end.
As you can see, the tribe/nation/community of ants is somehow like us. so there's no need to apply our own invented grammatical rules upon them. i think they have their own )
3- Please read from 2715 to 2719
As you can see, Suleiman was given the UNIQUE Gift of talking to animals and Jinns. so it is not surprising that the female ant knew him by his name, as long as the animals should have their own way to communicate.
if i was a bird or an animal who could talk to Suleiman, the first thing i'll ask him is for an introduction '' - Hello, my name is hoopoe (hud-hud) . what is your name ?? - Oh , my name is Suleiman, nice to meet you ..! )"- Hey, Psss...Psss ... be aware ... there's a King leading a huge army coming down here.... and you know what ?? he can talk to us...he can understand what we say !!!!
- Are you kidding me ?? Who is this freaking king ?
- I heard his name was Suleiman ! Pass it on ! "
next , we come to verse 2718
" "
one of the ants said "O ye ants, get into your habitations, lest Suleiman and his soldiers crush you (under foot) without knowing it."Salam

Some more challenge for Arab linguistsDear all, my contention about the word in question in verse 1111; is that, it is neither a verb nor a noun.
Badaryes,it is neither a verb nor a noun.
it is composed of Three initals (أ and (ب and (ي .i will count the number of occurences in that chapter of every initial and with some luck , maybe they will add up to 19 divisible.

According to Ahmadiyya Sect NAMLAH = NAME of a TRIBE ?Some want to write their own Quran. Pathetic !!

Some more challenge for Arab linguists@badar
you are right and we are wrong. -
Some more challenge for Arab linguistsQuickduck, weldone, but you have given link which is in Arabic.
Here it is in English
The Six Nounshttp//arabic.tripod.com/SixNouns.htm
Thank you Mazhar, i couldnt find it in english, you did !
BTW, it is very instructive. Now i know what are the english names for "marfoo3" = nominative, "mansoob" = accusative and "majroor" = genitive.
Salam
P.S because the 5th noun (ن is too rarely used, the six nouns are much known as "the five nouns"
But, the three Mousqueteers were 4 !!! ) -
Some more challenge for Arab linguistsSalaam Quickduck,
you demonstrate within you post an absolute failure to grasp the very basics of the English language, you apply nouns, and verbs as interchangeable when you are in fact wrong on both counts, when the word 'reason' is an adjective, then you ask me what it has to do with the Arabic you have explained with gibberish.
If you do not understand English at even a very basic level, what makes you think you have the ability to present yourself as an expert in explaining Arabic to English?
where did you see me presenting myself as an expert in explaining Arabic to English ?
Let me re-quote myself
is composed of two parts (wich means father) and a "grammatical "
the second word (lahab ) means "flame".
So "Abi lahab" means literarly father of the flame.Let me explain
I bet everyone here knows the infamous abou hurayra , translated as ''father of a little cat'' . it has the same form as "abou lahab" . (BTW, we should not translate them because they are kind of compound names/nicknames used by the arabs to show repect or to differenciate between people with the same first name or even for fun).
Now this form of nicknaming may have 3 grammatical "states"
1- Marfoo3 , ie .when standalone or in the beginning of the sentence.
(Abou lahab .... Abou hurayra
2- Mansoob , When used as complement of a verb (ex I killed Abaa lahab .... I hate Abaa hurayra)3- Majroor , after some grammatical particles. (i dont agree with Abii lahab.... i will start by Abii hurayra)
so it is a noun , not a verb )
Hope this helps ..
Salam
P.S my english is not as rich as my arabic, so excuse me if i didn't use the correct words to express my answer.
you see ? are the words in red from someone pretending to by any expert in translating arabic to english ? whatever
We are discussing an ARABIC word (ي in an ARABIC Quran. we have to do it in english only because this forum is english.
I don't need any translation or subtitles when reading the Quran, because i read it in Arabic. muscle
Moreover, do you know the "five names rule" in arabic grammar ??
check this out
http//ar.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%A3%D8%B3%D9%85%D8%A7%D8%A1_%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%AE%D9%85%D8%B3%D8%A9For non-arabic speakers This rule talks about five names/words being as un exception to grammatical rules.
While every name/word has to be Marfoo3 with dhomma, Mansoob with fatha and majroor with kesra , those 5 names ( و are
1- marfoo3 with waw
2-Mansoob with alif
3-Majroor with yaaNow, is that helping you understand the ''Abii lahab" in 1111 ??
If not, i don't feel myself able to explain anymore !
