I think you are not analyzing my question carefully. I have found in the translations of the Quran that Allah describes itself as being both the "most merciful" and the "most just", one should not disregard the first part of the description. The question was if the "most" is absolute, regardless of the former actions or not. If one says, absolute mercifulness goes, according to absolute justice, then it renders it to "forgiveness" which is not akin to "mercifulness" and so StudentofAllah's paragraph is self-defeating. There is a strong distinction between the most merciful and the absolute merciful. The two terms are not alike and if the God wanted, it would have used a different term as opposed to "more". I'm not sure that God is the most merciful or just. I think God is the most benevolent. This makes a difference.

As Allah states in the Quran that He had created people of phenomenal size the like of which He has not created since. These were the people of Aad where Prophet HUD was sent. I have never seen a verse of the Quran that speaks of giant human beings, "the likes of which He had not created since". Whoever claimed this was perhaps confused between the people of A'd and the PILLARS that they erected. The Quran speaks of a city called "Aram of the Pillars" (incorrectly rendered as "Iram&quot. And Far3oun of the Pegs? * They all transgressed in the land.}... So as you can see, they erected giant PILLARS. Nowhere does it say that they were giants themselves. As for the location you mentioned, it is most probably correct. The people of A'd where destroyed by a violent sandstrom which originated in the region known as "Al-Ahqaf" (meaning the giant sand dunes), which lies in the southern part of the Rub3-al-Khali desert, along the northern border of Yemen. Many artifacts and ruins are burried under those dunes, waiting to be uncovered. Unfortunately, the backward-minded tribes who live in those regions do not let anyone approach them, because they believe the areas to be "sacred". It's what differentiates an atheist who gives to charity and a believer who gives to charity for the sake of God. One is just a service while the other is also an act of worship. One will earn you "credit" at Judgement Day and the other won't. And that's what I admire on a "Good Atheist".. They're doing good deeds for the sake of doing good deeds, and not doing it for 'any credits'... The "sincerity level" (arabic ikhlas) of a "Good Atheist doing good deed" is definitely much higher than "Good Theist doing good deed".. Salam / Peace

Bigmo you should start a new thread on shirk and paganism according to the Quran so it doesn't get "lost" in this thread. I think it would be interesting and beneficial. The Koran tells the prophet to communicate with the Rabbis and ask for their religious sources it also tells us to go forth on Earth and seek wisdom and see what has happened to other nations. Seeking knowledge is what the Koran told us. There are many pagan traditions we know of. Chinese, Indian, Greek, Roman, Babylonian, Persian, Egyptian, and many South American and African. There is Japanese and there is Australian. Its all over the place. My main concern here is the comparison between idol worship and monotheism. Between polytheism or paganism versus monotheism. Between the gods of the pagan religions and the God of the Bible and Koran. The theological difference. As far as the Koran is concerned, nearly all the characteristic of God in the Koran dismisses paganism.

Chemotherapy is worthless and it's all about making money. Hence why they keep hidden all the natural cures, because they don't cost at all.
