The paradox is I think it is very clear you are not supposed to interpret those verses in any way. It is clearly talking about making angels fitna, not 19.

I have been living as a Muslim since a long time but I have to pray in sunni Mosques. I don't know of any other Muslim in my locality. I find it quite cowardice on part of the so-called Muslims to live in anonymity and do the work of flogging a dead horse (bash hadiths online). Questions to Muslims Why are there no Muslim Mosques?? If God is with these Muslims then why are they behaving so cowardly? Why isn't the so-called code 19 getting any international attention? (on the other hand it is easy for bible code, mayan prophecy, 21st may prophecy to get popularity) BTW I am 20 yrs old. Salaam. You should know that most 'muslims' are in complete disagreement when it comes to key quranic concepts such as salat, dua, masjid, malaikah, saum, hajj etc. There cannot be any group projects, whatever they may be, if there is absolutely no unity within the community. The story of Adams two sons is a personal attack from one person to another. Able chose not to fight and kill his brother. It's a choice we are allowed to make. I don't accept the Trinity myself, as I think it's obvious Jesus didn't teach it in the gospels, and he was continuing with the theme of Monotheism as known to Israel, that our God is one Lord. But it's interesting you mention some Koranists going to church. Does this mean some Koranists believe that when the Koran speaks of righteous Jews and Christians, and Islam being submission to God, it could mean that Judaism and Christianity were stages of revelation in the faith of Islam? About not accepting the trinity doctrine, have you looked into Jehovah's witnesses? They don't accept the trinity doctrine nor Marry being the "Mother of God", nor jesus as God himself. I personally liked some of their explanations, Jesus being ressurected and was sitting at the right hand of God (e.g he wasn't ressurected to be God himself) Marry was bearing Jesus, and not God himself. Trinity doctrine was invented a couple of centuries later after Jesus. etc. Read into their theology if you haven't already. and personally, yes i would currently believe in a "multiple paths to salvation". Yes there is a verse which could mean that anyone who accepts any other religion besides "ISLAM", they will be losers (385), however, islam in this verse might not necessarily mean "the religion of islam", because in the previous verses we see that, EVERYONE IN THE HEAVENS AND THE EARTH SUBMITED TO GOD (are "muslims" = submitters) , WILLINGLY OR UNWILLINGLY (383) Also, in other verses we see that God Almighty PURPOSELY DIFFERENTIATED US "And We have revealed to you, the Book in truth, confirming that which preceded it of the Scripture and as a criterion over it. So judge between them by what God has revealed and do not follow their inclinations away from what has come to you of the truth. To each of you We prescribed a law and a method. Had God willed, He would have made you one nation , but to test you in what He has given you; so race towards righteousness . To God is your return all together, and He will inform you concerning that over which you used to differ/dispute. (54 Who will enter Heaven? Music is not forbidden and I really don't like how the traditionalists use that hadith about musical instruments to make it haram. The Quran makes no mention of music. It's simply another art form and we are allowed to enjoy it. It's just like how the Sunnis forbid drawing and sculpting or anything that is fun more or less. All hadith based and is not forbidden in the Quran.

Animals don't have the same level of consciousness as we do (at least it theres no contrary evidence to this) and this effects our moral obligations towards them significantly. I'l outline my view To not kill animals and use them for benefit is to give them some moral consideration. But IMO moral consideration of this high level should be exclusive to that which has the capacity for moral consideration. By this I mean rational individuals. Animals in the state that they are in with the level and type of consciousness that they have would not have mercy on us if they were in authoirty. Animals might not be able to forsee their death but there is good evidence to suggest that they can feel pain and pleasure. Thus they have interests. An interest to not suffer pain. For moral agents like us, compassion is an attribute. Thus to cause an animal pain is immoral IMO. Thus to take its child away when it clearly grieves is cruel even IF animals are incapable of mercy this doesn't mean that we should be merciless towards them. Quran does not restric animal use for food and certain other benefits given 1, 2 and 3 i think it ethically justifiable to kill animals but only if it is done painlessly. Also animal produce like eggs should only be accetable if the chicken that is producing the egg is doing so in good conidtions so that it does not suffer. The Quran does say not to restrict provisions whether being a vegan would be a sin is something i really REALLY strongly doubt because intentions are good and the vegan individual (provided that they are getting the right nutrition and not harming themselves) But it might be argued that to be vegan is to take an extreme position and to take an extreme position is wrong. Either way I don't think that being a vegan incurs any punishment in the hereafter. If there is to be a punishment, it is that your missing out on good food and protein. Nothing more in addition to this IMO.

I apologise for not reading all of the previous posts but I do have an opinion on this one. If you show of sometimes some sort of good about yourself in order to give good example/ encouragement to others then it might be ok. I don't think its actually good to do it with money, unless you were very rich and you wanted like I said earlier to encourage others or maybe if a parent is teaching a child. It's generally not a good thing but if your reasons are for the good cause and not for show of then its not really a show of but a good deed. God knows exactly what are your reason and intentions is behind any action that you choose! Thanks

The Koran understands "fasad" differently than how we use it. Fasad can mean corruption in Arabic but the Koran uses it usually for murder and killing. If u look at the verse it talks about regret. Do not do the opposite of stinginess which is excessive givng money away that you end up in regret. Regret usually is a tool the devil uses to bring despair and depression. I think the verse is talking about moderation according to your financial abilities. You need to plan and save for the future and think about the rainy days but you should not pile ur wealth in banks leaving it there and never being used. Personally I am a bad manager of money and I tend to squander money away because I lack discipline. But I don't squander it on evil stuff but on unnecessary things. I have tasted regret often. Obviously the Koran is talking about extremes however. But between those two the Koran talked about is lots of shades of gray. The dangerous thing is to be too stingy to give to the needy and too wasteful to leave anything for the needy. Both have something in common and thats selfishness. Makes sense and I was thinking this might be the case rather though I never thought about the idea of regret being what brings you closer to the devil. So yeah, spend from the excess but never let it cut into the needs, which seems to happen a lot especially with gamblers who go as far as to bet their house O_O which I guess explains why gambling is prohibited.

Interesting indeed. Perhaps there are correlations and systems with names, words and numbers... but I don't know anything about it. I have however seen some remarkable predictions coming true by a certain numerologist... but I cannot understand nor defend the methodology or reliability of this practice... but I wasn't able to deny the results..... weird. yes, the Koran does mention the 'contact prayers' and to do ablution before engaging in that form of prayer. however, the general public seem to miss the point of this form of worship turning it into a mindless ritual and something entirely different. yeah man, that is what i'm talking about...

I was talking to a friend of mine about the veil in Islam. My friend is an atheist, but with a Muslim background and he is quite well informed. Anyway, I was telling him that I don't believe that the veil is a fard in Islam because it is not really mentioned in the Koran. He responded by saying that the verse in the Koran pertaining to the veil has a story behind it. The verse is ?O Prophet, tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks close round them (when they go abroad). That will be better, so that they may be recognised and not annoyed. Allah is ever Forgiving, Merciful.? (Quran 3359) .......cloaks close around them! where does one keep ones cloak? not around them then where else? I thought loose ones are better rather then tight ones around a lady! But The quran is a great master piece , so what is it talking about? It isn't about clothes , to my understanding......... ......say to the women of the believers not to take it upon themselves to be too obliging (forth coming) in their interactions that more suitable that they should be known and not seen to be advertising- themselves/ not seen to be attention seekers,??? book 1 , page 439. to get a notion of what is Jalaab.Simerlarly check Yadneena from root Dan and , and Yuthaina from root Athan. But who needs to agree, right!
