Salam ramzi, I recently saw The Arrivals and I'm a bit surprised at your harsh judgment of the video. First off, if you got hold of a version that had, in your opinion, poor video and audio quality, it really has nothing to do with its message, and shouldn't be mixed up. Second of all... they have their own "disclaimer" saying that you should not take any of the material in the video for granted except for the quranic verses. They encourage you to go out and verify for your self. I think they should be given credit for that. No-one is perfect, including the wakeupproject people, but credit is due for their attempt in uniting all believers and inviting tolerance and encouraging everyone to use their own brains. I think that when you say that the material in the video is all based on lies you are going too far. How can a message of peace be "all based on lies"? If they got a few things wrong then that is human. Do you have perfect knowledge? No. Do you know all about the quran? No! There are many different levels of understanding of the quranic revelation... and no-one has perfect knowledge... so don't expect that all they are saying must be quotes from the quran. We should encourage amateurs who set out to do good work. Being an amateur is not a bad thing mind you. What did you expect from the video? A perfect and 100% true revelation? If that's the case, of course you are disappointed... and it won't be the last time... best regards

I know they are fragments, hadith isn't as "detailed" as every sunni/shia thinks it is. so realistically they need to re-evaluate their views. I know those hadith didn't mention tashahud or rakat, just saying it has detail on prayer practices that happen today Hadith is not 'evidence' of today's prayer. Today's prayer was legitimised by the fabrication of hadith. I don't know what you mean by 'true sunnah', sorry? maybe it is the other way around, hadith was fabricated to support peoples practices. though today what people know is what is in books or what their forefathers preach. they have 'documented' (apparent) evidence of so called truth. it's their choice to blindly accept it but we all know the study of hadith isn't as lofty as the scholars make it out to be; the lack of consistency, contradictions, nonsensical claims.. it's quite disturbing. about 'true sunnah'. in this thread people are discussing a sunnah is a practice which may not have been documented in any hadith and thus the practice must be a legitimate 'sunnah' of the prophet. prayer was one of these so called sunnah examples. so i was trying to refute that claim. there is "some" documentation and even if there wasn't that's not a good enough reason to claim the practice is a sunnah

It says What's so respectful about 'He'? I prefer not use "He" or "Him", however I think he means it is better than saying something like "it". I just say "Allah" or "Allah's" (for example Allah's will) in any place where you would normally put him, he, her, she, his, etc. Even if it sounds repetitive.

bravo and the main part of that Gospel was worship One God and enjoin no partners with him, same as the first commandment, hence when 'Christianity' was born all reference to that was taken out in order for the 'trinity' to come in.

When people leave Islam, they usually leave the culture called 'Islam'. They would reject all the cultural norms like prayers, fasting etc, reject the messengership of mohamed or what have you. Do they become warmongers? Usually, no. That would be leaving 'islam', not Islam.

Dear Ayman I think you seem to be getting ahead of yourself. Firstly, please accept my apology for the black cube statement. I thought you had used this term in your previous post, but you had in fact used the term (the cube). I did not translate the ayat and come up with the back cube translation. This was just a misunderstanding. Secondly, I do not ask anyone to follow me. I merely pointed out that in line with your logic, everyone who uses a focal point i.e. to face Kabaah, is foolish and then quoted the ayat where Allah SWT states that every community has been given a focal point, therefore everyone must be a fool according to you. Thirdly, it was not the Saudis that built the Kabaah. They were the last ones to rebuild/repair it's structure. This has been ongoing since Abraham built it. The Prophet PBUH was involved when the Quraish did it, it happened during the time of Abdullah Ibn az Zubair, Malik bin Marwan and Sultan Murad Khan. Do you also hold these people in contempt including the Prophet PBUH? or was he also an idol worshiper like the Saudis and the majority of brainwashed sectarian Muslims who walk around it and pray within it's vicinity by standing, bowing and prostrating? Because you clearly you do not believe in a focal point, prayer is out the question, hajj is also out to Mecca, zakat and sadaqa means running the tractor in the fields and fasting means eating, drinking, sexual relationships with the partner and non remembrance of Allah SWT during the prescribed period in the day from sunrise to sunset and the 4 sacred months become 8. If the laws of Allah from his book were implemented, how would the country differ from the many failed 'Islamic' countries we've seen to date? There would certainly be no Kings right? Could it ever work? Your thoughts... Peace, Respectfully. The Mid-East is loaded with countries which run on hadith books and we are witnesses that they do not function properly. However, if they accepted Islam and if The Quran was The Law of the country, this country would work, it would function. There would be less crime, less diseases, such as AIDS, cancer and so on, people would be happier, there would be no depression and much more. It would be possible that such a country could have a leader, a president or a king and it would work just fine, look at Jordan, but the reason why countries today don't work, is because they run on man-made laws which don't work,hence the politicians today have to meet every single day to talk about same things for years and years. Wow! So God doesn't know what we will do? He's not perfect then? Peace, Most who believe in the Open God thesis would say God is still perfect because he can do all that is logically possible. This would not include seeing the future that does not exist yet. Or, they would argue that God chooses to not see the future. If you really like the subject of free will/determinism, check out Robert Kane (free will proponent) or Daniel Dennett (determinist and popular New Atheist). Also, two stage free will models developed by the Greeks, Muslims and other folks over time are cool to look at. You bring up many tough questions though. For now I will just deal with your child yelling at Mum and Dad example. We know that the child truly does not believe what he says, it is just lip service given due to circumstances or something else. In the same way, I think God is as the perfect judge, able to filter through lip service and true belief, useless words and real actions, whether they be from someone who says he is an atheist or a great Muslim.
