Well there are so many competitors for your mind feeding you with misinformation always many of which you correct later. What makes you think I listen to any of them? I got the Quran (and you guys interpreting it). That's it, I don't need to seek any more knowledge All the scholars, preachers, ayatollahs - i consider them all crazy people. Would you listen to someone you consider crazed?

I voted yes, although that answer is a bit incomplete. We all have our idea of 'good deeds'. In my opinion you have to do good deeds in accordance to the Quran. These are basically helping people, living a good life etc. So my answer would be - Belief in God (and nobody else) following and respecting the words of Quran and doing good deeds. Nobody is perfect, try your best. As it is good to destroy false structures so it is necessary to provide the replacement else one is left in wilderness. I agree with Omeiza on that one.

Though we need to read & add our reviews, I believe the attack will make the book even more popular. Let us reply them.

peace san, I guess its only fair I answer, however after having read the answers my mind will be tainted, but I did run through it when I typed the list initially, so hopefully I will recall and give an accurate response God ~ one complete surrounding, infinite expansion, all encompassing, the only true wavelength, refuge/home/source. Picture not limited to any particular thing, the whole of one's imagination and that yet unimagined. islam ~ conformity in action, the stars, the planets, blades of grass, sand grains, everything, resonance. Pictures of every object (non-human) in the universe doing as they were designed. praise ~ fulfilment of an action of intended design. Picture how the honey bee praises the flower and vice versa, the moon praises the tide and vice versa etc. heaven ~ bliss, peace, unburdening, lightness, formless happiness, infinite positivity. Pictures of clouds, fruits, light, no definite edges all blended. hell ~ intense inward destruction, lifeless, infinite negativity. Picture fire, rage. unity ~ a circle no beginning or end, symmetrical, all equal, whole, as one. deen ~ a system, an obligation, that which is due a pen is built to write, a human is built to actualise. Picture like the matrix. belief ~ uncertainty, the unknown, doubt, joy/despair, struggle. Picture a stepping stone, a leap of faith. almighty ~ any picturing is limiting, thus no picture or conceptualising is possible for me, unique to God, although the first images that come to mind are galaxies and the universe held in His "hand". truth ~ the realisation/expression of precision, justice, logic, beauty, the only state of being. Picture light, unblemished certainty. strength ~ within, knowledge, the soul and its striving. Picture chains breaking, a body shedding all its material binds, becoming more than itself. weakness ~ oneself, self-destructive tendencies, crushing burden. Picture an emaciated being, spiritually and physically, too weak to rise and ascend. satan ~ temptations internally and externally, vanities, desires, lusts, superficialities. Picture a battle for one's soul/mind/heart with an enemy of your own making. angels ~ the other side of the equation in which the function is realised, nature's laws, functions governing our existence. Picture mathematical formulas behind the scenes being expressed and zooming by, all around. death ~ the end, release, nothingness. Picture blackness, nothing, an end to all light. love ~ a stillness within, tranquillity, simply being true to the wavelength, resonating on its frequency, overflowing. Picture the heart beating to this rhythm.

Is it possible for Adam & Iblis to live together peacefully without one subjugating the other? These are the two actors.

If Mohammed's story about a a prostitute who came upon a thirsty dog, took of her shoe and filled it with water and gave the dog a drink, thus allowing her entrance to paradise, is his view of who will enter paradise rather than hell, it sounds to me like God is trying to keep people out of hell, not put them there. There is another story attributed to Mohammed where God keeps sending someone to pull people out of hell for even the smallest mercy rendered to someone. In the end the person says to God, 'You won't have anyone left in hell", which of course was the whole idea. I agree with the statement that we create our own hell. God helps us to get out of our own hell.

Salam Wakas, What should all this tell us? To be ultra cautious, so we dont repeat history! To be proactive in terms of verification, seeking truth, applying thought/logic etc and not blindly follow anything... because the consequences could be huge. Yep consequences are huge. Why don?t they verify, because of numbers ?appeal to popularity? comfort. Why not even ask "which hadith?" Perhaps if one did a study on "hawa" in AQ they might realise it is always contrasted to following divine revelation / God's Word/system. Thus, anything else could be "hawa", including man-made religious law or religious leaders. In fact, it could even be argued this is a very common form of "hawa" in AQ! Good point I never looked at the word and the contrast. *adds to the ?to do list?. I?ll post it here in future GW.. just for reference It is ironic to think that it is perhaps the other way around, that actually majority of Muslims are following their desires etc. because AQ is built in such a way that it will narrow down the meaning/guidance in such a way that only one view is possible, or if more than one, it will provide the limits. For example, AQ smashes the marrying pre-puberty tradition/belief (hence almost all commentators not using AQ to justify this view), thus if someone goes against this, they would be following their "hawa". There are many examples like this. So, it is not black/white, i.e. it cannot be said that they follow "hawa" and we do not follow "hawa", or vice versa. I think part of the problem is people?s limited knowledge which leaves gaps in thoughts. It could lead us to upholding the view (with the gap) therefore possibly upholding hawa. We already are! The movement is growing, no doubt about it. Take note from a non-violent revolutionary who defeated the world's strongest empire "First they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they fight you, then you win" ~Gandhi. I think they take us as a serious threat! Rather, a serious potential threat. Not as, seriously trying to adhere to guidance. AQ talks loads and loads about seeking knowledge, methodology etc. In fact, so much, it would take one weeks to read and study all occurrences. This book talks a lot about certain aspects, in a formal manner. Also see this for a brief. Weeks, months and longer? sounds interesting (why are the useful books expensive!). If I could promote the use of logic as supported by Quran.. that would be useful but then they?d need to study logic. Or have an inclination to it.. Does every Traditional Muslim commentator follow this approach? No. Does every forum member here follow this approach? No. It?s wrong for me to expect people to follow all the same approach but sunnis seem to think they do.. (follow the same approach). Someone was asking how hadith has affected their lives and how well they know them and do they know it as well as they know quran.(BTW paraphrasing) the bro I know asked ?what about those who reject hadiths?? And someone said ?that?s nonsense? and mentioned some verses Another?how do they pray.. wait do they even pray? Anyway I wasn?t going to reply because I?d be trapping myself to ignorance and emotions and become the live bait. But i did reply to the bro i know.. I told him it?s such a common question ?how do they pray? the question is how do they/you pray? Most of them will pray a specific way 5 times a day right, but why like that? Most likely because they adopt what their forefathers have taught them and basically they accept it blindly, they will say hadiths.. ok which hadiths?! He answered mostly from their parents, so I said yep blindly following without knowing why. Yet he kept saying I don?t make sense and why don?t I tell them that. All I could think was I don?t wanna be the bait for the fish to bite. but I?ll see how far it goes then i'll see if it's worth posting. i just thought if people can question why they do certain practices or the origins/reference/links to their practices it might get them thinking wider.. It's interesting that you say that san. I was actually thinking of doing some volunteer work just to fill up my time. I am really miserable. I keep thinking how great it would be if I just drop dead and end it all. Maybe charity will keep me busy. Then we may be connected, unconsciously cos i'm having a hard time myself trying to start a venture/business (whatever you call it). Especially since i don't wanna get caught in bank debts (another topic really). I have high, unexplainable hopes in sadaqah/charity. Keep posting about your volunteering experience, would ya? Maybe i should look into it, too. handshake
