Wouldn't make any difference. A supereruption at Yellowstone would spew so much ash into the atmosphere that it would plunge most of the earth in perpetual winter for years, killing crops, vegetation, etc thereby starving livestock, this will, of course cause human starvation around the whole world reducing the population by at least 50%. The USA would, probably, not be affected anymore than anywhere else except in the immediate vicinity, which would no longer be recognisable. bravo

Don't forget the hurricane I lived through here in 2008. It is not just the poor, it is just that poorer countries are less able to deal with it. A country like Haiti does not have any building codes so most of their buildings will collapse much easier than in most other countries. You are right Rev. Peace, Hadi

The path to freedom, justice & human respect has been & will be war! Should we then live peacefully with injustice? Very insightful! And this is a dilemma that I struggle with too. It can be a luxury that someone else has to pay for if one wants to be a pacifist and yet have freedom and justice in the land. That is why I think the Quran is a book that deals with the messiness of life instead of just subscribing to turning the other cheek as in some Christian teachings. It is all very well for pacifists to refuse military service when they live in a free country, but why are they living in a free country? Because others have died to give them their freedom. On the other hand, there are unjust wars like the Iraq war and that is neither for peace nor justice. So I guess each case has to be judged on its particular cirumstances. I hope others share their ideas on this very interesting topic.

You are right I don?t believe in Rashad messenger ship my understanding of the verse is that the messenger in question is not a human massager but it is referred to angel Gabriel. yes Me too Reply for afridi 220 it is verry sad that you are so in dought about R.K and also that you had to be the 19 repley on this matter you know that the pledge to the profets were made long before the creation of the cosmos and it is commensens that all profets lived and die . I realy don't understaan your question and I think you don't belive that Rashad Khalifa is the messenger of the covanant. Do go and read about the mathamaticel miricule of the code 19 and you wil see the trueth INSHALLAAH walaycomsalaam What if he doesn't believe what you believe in? He doesn't have to.

Since we can't 'run away' from judging people, and I think judging people is a common behavior like walking, maybe as Muslims, we should judge people through the Koranic perspective. O0 I agree with you Ariji... Not judging people is impossible; we judge and should judge all the time, of course based on reason and facts. And get ready to change that judgment when the facts indicate otherwise. However, we cannot judge for their eternal life, since the ultimate Judge is God. Peace, Edip

http//haqeeqat.org.pk/English%20Tafsir%20e%20Haqeeqat/00.Arabic%20Text/009.%20At%20Tauba/9.11.gif Then/for reason if they repent and they maintained/managed/organized/performed the congregational Ass-sa'laat, and paid the Az-zakat then they are your brethren in the System of Life-Islam http//haqeeqat.org.pk/English%20Tafsir%20e%20Haqeeqat/00.Arabic%20Text/009.%20At%20Tauba/9.11a.gif And We make the Aa'ya'at/knowledge about things distinct/demarcated/evident/crystal clear so that the people may have knowledge/know . Deen is something physical conduct/physical demonstration of one's allegiance and declaration of faith. It is said that they are your brothers in Deen if they claim to have believed and perform such acts. http//haqeeqat.org.pk/English%20Tafsir%20e%20Haqeeqat/00.Arabic%20Text/009.%20At%20Tauba/009.%20At%20Tauba.htm Yep. Faith and deeds. A believer is a believer. However the Quran does say we should give priorities to relatives and the poor and people within our local. Maybe I am not accurate on that since that priority is usually in the form of charity. Like when Noah prayed he prayed for all the believers but also those among them who entered his home.

Are you an African/Asian/American practising ISLAM or a MUSLIM living in America/Asia/Africa? Omeiza, I cannot understand the motive behind your question, but before I can perhaps figure how to answer your question I think you need to elucidate on what your understanding of islam and muslim is, so that we may not be talking at cross purposes. And secondly, are these two concepts overlapping or are there marked distinction between them. best regards, kaamil

Peace all For now, my plan is to build my own sense of security. That includes gaining knowledge; things from Quran as well as everyday living financial security and academic (finishing uni). With time I will test waters in polite ways i.e. avoid going masjid, asking them why they do certain things, try including my disagreement in an opinion without being offensive or so obvious.. i can only try. Peace peace, Excellent decision you have taken, but be very rigid, and uncompromising in your understanding but be soft and flexible in your dealings with your parents. if your apply wisdom in your approach and be not confrontational it is a matter of time that they may still come to appreciate witih your view someday.

Peace all, Actually it is a question of person chosen goal in life. People of the same goal of life live together or look forward for it. Look at a hursband and wife for example. If the goal of a person is not shared by the people his/she lives with, he naturally feels lonliness and look forward to people of the same goal. We are social creatures that compulsorily live as communities. A person live as a community but when that is the only option for him to remain focus with his goal. Ibrahim experienced it and he was refered to as a community. So our goal of life determine our choice of community. THINK ABOUT IT. ZUBAIRUS peace Zubairus, which community do you belong and what is your goal of life?

Peace If people already have lists they have compiled when doing their own research on a particular issue, then they can share them to make research a lot easier for others.

Thanks Bigmo. D Yeah, I know its complicated, its easy for me or any of us to say commentary on this issue, but it is nothing like actually being in the situation 1st hand. inshallah None of us will ever have to be in a situation like this So it is really hard to imagine what to do. I guess, I just feel strongly about it. I have watched some videos on "Spitirual Sperm and Sex" Apparently, Sperm is a very spiritual Liquid that contains Conciousness and Energy. A kind of ....(Allah forgive me if I am incorrect)..What some would call "Divine-like creative energy". Of course They are cells, and cells do die sometimes (which I fell bad about)...but it seems NO WHERE NEAR the importance of fusion. http//i138.photobucket.com/albums/q270/rickrivero305/spermm.gif Sperm are living cells that actually have intelligence, they are living moving cells that Live and Die (organism). An Egg is also a living organism that lives and dies and goes through a cycle. But when these to things CONNECT, they Fuse similair to mixing 2 chemicals thgeather and causing an explosion. Instead of 1 insufficient Sperm, and 1 insufficient Egg...They combine in the womb and coalesce/Evolve into ONE Living Organism instead of 2 separate ones. This seems to be a very important point because an Egg will Eventually DIE after a couple Weeks(every month or so)and a Sperm will eventually Die also in a short matter of time...BUT when the TWO organisms Form into ONE, They usually Live for 9months, and then Live outside and grow until they Die at whatever age. This too seems like a logical point to consiter. So, It would Seems to me anyways, that Once Fusion (Coalesceion of Sperm/egg) takes place, I wont try to kill it. I mean If it is somekind of Dyer Emergancy, Then Perhaps...But Again...I will be the One explaining myself to Allah why I chose to do that. Maybe Allah will Accept it Maybe He Wont (He is the best of Judges). I heard a Jahova Witness friend of mine say that in the Bible Cain was in trouble for Wasting his Sperm on the Ground. and God Said something Like..."There Are Cities, and Empires that Dwelll within you!" If so,m That is AMAZING that the Bible would know such Microscopic Details about the Millions of Sperm that are inside of the Liquid. pretty Amazing huh? I mean it would be impossible for the Ancient people to know that information. There were no such Microscopes that could show the detail like that.. Ill try to look for the exact verse... Also Note, Its also pretty Funny that Buddhism, Mainstream Islam, and Most religions actually do not like Abortion.
