Also... it says "much suspicion" doesnt it? What a predicament! I think 'much' suspicion here refers to excessive suspicion, perhaps without cause. What is the Arabic word used here? What are the roots, and the connotation of those words. I don't know Arabic nor do I have the time to find out from the root list at studyquran.org what those words may possibly mean. Are there any Arabic speakers/ experts here who can shed some light on this? Peace Sarah

Peace, Respectfully. Reading The Quran every single day, can make you powerful enough to resist danger hormones, God willing. Praying keeps you balanced and fasting makes you and keeps you even more firm and strong, spiritually. Thank God for guinding us. Peace. Peace, As I said before, as much as Humans run after the Pleasure Hormones, as much as they RUN AWAY from the Negative ones (Stressful ones). Therefore, Believers RUN AWAY from the Stressful Hormones that would be stimulated if they Harm their relationship with GOD. Believer will give up the Pleasure Hormones as a PRICE to not GET the Stressful Ones--Stress Escapers. Moreover, Your Love of your wife (Source of Pleasure Hormones) will be in danger if you cheated on her. Thus, you would give up the pleasure that would be obtained from illegal Sex in order to not loose the existed pleasure (e.g., love of God and Love of your wife), which if you loose will cause the stressful ones to be stimulated...In other words, You are still a Pleasure Seeker and Stress escaper. Peace

Salaam all I wasn't sure where to start this topic so i apologise if its in the wrong area or already done before. Basically my question/s is i want to learn classical arabic, i want to be able to listen to the quran being read and be able to understand what is being said. ive been bought up sunni and am not a native arabic speaker, so as some of you could probably relate i have only been taught how to read and pronounce words properly. Could some one show me where i could possibly learn the rules of arabic grammer etc. Free websites or material would be most useful. I live in the west midlands, UK, if any UK brothers/sisters know of any good classes for Arabic around here could you let me know. somewhere preferably where there is little sectarian influence on the meaning of arabic words lol (this is related to the other question below). the other question i wanted to ask was - All languages have evolved in one way or another, what I'm concerned specifically with is the meaning of words evolving. for example in arabic one word back 1400 years ago may for example today mean something different. what brought this up was an article on the Makkah/Mecca i read in there the word in classic arabic means "destruction" etc but others argued it a common noun a name for a place. could anyone with proficiency in the arabic history please enlighten me on the evolution of words in the language. If the question is not clear i'll be happy to explain what i mean peace peace Peace Honestly speaking if you are serious about Arabic ,then you should have some teacher for very fundamental principles ,then later you can improve by yourself. On Youtube there are many programs you can listen to them like http//www.youtube.com/results?search_query=madina+arabic+course&search_type=&aq=0&oq=madina+arabic+ A very authenticated website for your question about arabic is http//www.lisanularab.org/forums/ Regards

....before some 'muslims' realise that killing themselves and other is just plain wrong! I was watching BBC this morning and obviously as many of you may have heard the three men, whom i believe are from Pakistan originally tried to attempt a bombing publically. I didn't actually watch all of it as it just angers me so I turned the channel yuck Anyway, do you think it takes a person who is in the public a lot who has the chance to spread the real path of Islam? Someone who can maybe show a a side of our religion that has never been displayed. It's funny how these people think their actually going to heaven by killing innocent human beings. Most of these are really brainwashed and should stop going to see all these scholars who are even more brainwashed! peace peace peace Peace, Respectfully. I read the stuff in the METRO, the free paper and all three of them use to live in the same area as i did in the spring of this year, Walthamstow, Thank God i moved out on time, huh? Anyway, these men are clearly pagans who are going to HellFire for not following The Quran. Message of The Quran is Clear and i really don't know how many times must we remind each other that THOU SHALL NOT KILL is The Commandment and that freedom is God-given beauty and a blessing and that God doesn't need anyone nor anything and can exist without all of us. I think it's time to speak out and speak up. May God help us all. Peace.

Absolutely!! I find it funny how traditionalists put this under the carpet by twisting it to refer to only those before the Prophet Muhammeds time and not today and yet they say quran is for the past, present and future ??? They've shackled the quran into a history book using historical books to explain it. Damn them!!!!!! PEACE That is so true. They have details for everything, starting from using miswak instead of toothpaste, and promoting the eating of pumpkin because that was apparently the Prophet's favourite food.

i don't know about books, i mostly read online articles, here's a few http//www.successconsciousness.com/index_000086.htm http//www.dlshq.org/download/thought_power.htm http//flavoursofindia.tripod.com/thoughts.html what interests me is how they work in a way, for example, when you want something to happen and fear that it may not, that fear will manifest first, and the bad thing happens, something you didn't want, but feared... and that fear is very subtle, you may not even notice it. and if you want something, they say best thing is to not go for it (vigorously), not to force it to happen, as if when you try to force it, it goes further and further away, so best would be to not think about it, let it go and it will come to you. strange, yet somehow in on a few occasions, i found it to be true. but the crazy part is that even though i'm aware of it i still make the mistake, can't control thoughts in that way and fear becomes reality.

Edip Yuksel didn't Answer Ali Sina 3 September 2009 What is happening dear Edip? Why is it that I feel like talking to an answering machine? You have completely neglected my questions and like all your fellow co-religionists resorted to copy-pasting. Where are the answers to these questions I spent about a month debating with Ali Sina; he was too eager to feed himself and others from piles of literary garbage called hadith. Our debate is posted at www.19.org and soon it will be published in a book together with my debates with other islamophobic warmongers such as Robert Spencer. If you read my debate with Ali Sina you will learn that Ali Sina lost the arguments repeatedly. 1- How can Muhammad's character be irrelevant to his claim? How can we be sure that he was not a liar? What if he lied for the same reason Jim Jones and thousands of other charlatan, impostor cult leaders lie manipulate and control the foolhardy? It is relevant, but it is not necessary, which I will briefly explain below. A first hadith books that tell us stories about his character were collected and written more than two centuries after Muhammad's departure. In other words they have no credibility. Second, if you still wish to use those sources to engage in character assassination as your guru Ali Sina had attempted, you must also believe that he had the sexual power of 30 men (a strange yet a miraculous feat!), that he split the moon into two pieces and one piece fell in Ali's backyard, etc. No, if you tell us that you will only pick the trash you like from those piles of hearsay reports, then I will tell you have it and eat it too. Now let me explain why hearsay reports about Muhammad's character is not necessary. The Quran itself, through its scientific accuracy and numerical structure is a living proof for its divine nature. So, instead of evaluating verifiable and falsifiable evidence, I will not indulge in digging historical garbage cans. 2- Muhammad made so many bogus claims about being the best of the creation, and a perfect example to follow. How can we verify these self adulating claims? And how are we supposed to follow his examples as Allah asked us to do in the Quran if we are not allowed to read his history or believe it? You reject his biography in its entirety (except the part that is not incriminating) so can you tell us how else can we know him to comply with the Quranic injunctions and follow his examples? Or are you saying those verses where he said follow my example and I mentioned before are all later day fabrications? Are we supposed to take those verse and the verse 3321 that says "Ye have indeed in the Messenger of Allah a beautiful pattern (of conduct)" seriously or not? First, you have no evidence that Muhammad claimed to be "the best of the creation," except hearsay reports where you can find all flavors of Muhammad. As for Muhammad being an example... Instead of looking too far, if you paid attention the context of the verses you would realize that it was about his bravery in defending the men, women and children who were attacked and killed by polytheist religious bigots and aggressors. If you are attempting to use the Quran to justify your invitation to dig hadith books, then you must be consistent in your using the Quran. The same Quran mentions Abraham too as a role model. It is obvious that the Quran was not advocating its readers to find collections of hearsay reports about Abraham. You should respect the context of the text you are quoting. 3- I asked you to explain the meaning of Sura 111 and Sura 3841-44 without referring to hadith, tafseer and Sira, by merely trying to decipher their meanings from the Quran. Can you do that? These are just two examples. Most of the Quran is incomprehensible without hadith and tafseer and I will keep pointing them out as we touch them. I have answered that in the endnote of the Quran a Reformist Translation. You may read it at www.quranix.com. I cannot repeat and rewrite the same thing over and over for every person who has the same question. Since you are specifically addressing me and accusing me of not answering some questions, then you should know about my most relevant work for your question QRT. But, like many critics with little attention span, you choose not to read the ideas of people you are so passionate to criticize. "Edip I have not read your translation of the Quran; but you did not answer this or that person's questions about this or that verses of the Quran" How does it sound? If you had done this several decades ago, I would not be able to criticize you this way. But, now you have electronic versions of the book freely available at your fingertips. On top of that you do not even need to read the entire book to check whether I have answered your question; all you need is to pick a key word and click on the "search" function of Microsoft Word, PDF, or google. 4- We also talked about the Quran's claim that God transformed the Jews into apes and swine (560) and said 'Be ye apes' (265, 7166). These are not metaphors. No scholar has understood them as metaphors because the texts make it clear that they are not metaphors. Can you explain to us how this absurdity is possible? How come such an amazing phenomenon was not recorded in any book prior to Muhammad saying such thing? How can such a ridiculous statement be compatible with science? Remember, it was you who said We will get to the scientific accuracy of the Quran. Explain this please scientifically. The Quran contains numerous metaphors and I believe that the verses you are referring to are using metaphors. Here is the related discussion from the Quran a Reformist Translation 002065 Turning to monkeys and swine is most likely a metaphor indicating their spiritual and intellectual regression since verse 560 adds another phrase, ?Servants of the aggressor?, which does not depict a physiological transformation. Also see 7166. Jesus likens his own people figuratively to swine and dogs (Matthew 76; 2 Peter 222). Swine was regarded as the most filthy and the most abhorred of all animals (Leviticus 117; Isaiah 654; 663, 17; Luke 1515-16). See 560; 7166). 5- You claimed Muhammad wrote the Quran with his own hand. I asked how do you know that. Where is your source? Why should we believe you when he himself claimed to be illiterate and unable to read. 7157 , 622 I have discussed this issue numerous times. So, do not expect me to write it AGAIN or paste it here. You can easily find my reasons for my claims by visitng www.quranix.com and it will take you only one click to find the article in the introductory section of QRT. Besides, you can find the older version of it at http//www.yuksel.org/e/books/rtq.htm which will take you only one click, perhaps less than a calorie ) Again, is it too unfair to expect from my critics to read my work before accusing me of not answering a particular question? 6- You made the claim that ummi does not mean illiterate but gentile. I quoted the verse 278 were Muhammad alludes to the Jews and calls them ummayoon because they cant read their book. What is your response? So far, this is the only novel question I read. Whoever came up with this criticism, I acknowledge that it has merit since its context is indeed about Jews. However, I would like to remind you that the word Ummy is contrasted to the People of the Book and Jews are considered to be the People of the Book in general. Ummy does not describe inability to read, but lack of knowledge of divine books. Meccan Arabs were called Ummy, not because the Quran was referring to their illiteracy per se, but their lack of knowledge about Torah and Injeel. 7- We talked about sura 33 and I said this sura is not self explanatory. I asked you to tell us who are the confederates mentioned in verse 20 and from where they did not withdraw. Explain that without any reference to hadith or tafseer. It depends what you expect from the Quran. If you are expecting it to be a history book; it is not. You might have similar questions for every history book, since you could still have questions about more details and more details. I have no problem in understanding the message of the chapter 33 without knowing those irrelevant details. Tell me my friend what it would change in my understanding of the points made in those verses if I knew the name of confederates? Guys, these questions are not answered. if you can answer please, write here so that Ali Sina finds his way laugh If you are visiting his website drop him this news 1791 and
  • Intercession - A confusing and contradicting statement in Quran

Salam, Peace, here is my understanding, (Yusuf Ali translation ( ) I seek refuge in God against Satan the banished. Bismi allahi arrahmani arrahimi. First of all, this totally reject sunnis view on intercession as per Quran, no where it says Mohamed will be intercessing on the Day of Jugement, nor Jesus (may God bless them). In 248, 2123, and 2254 it is clearly mentionned no intercession shall be accepted 248 Then guard yourselves against a day when one soul shall not avail another nor shall intercession be accepted for her, nor shall compensation be taken from her nor shall anyone be helped (from outside). The intercession will not be accepted from a soul, intercessor would not be a soul. while in 20109 and 1987 intercession would be allowed in special cases, translation in these cases need re-check 20109 On that Day shall no intercession avail except for those for whom permission has been granted by (Allah) Most Gracious and whose word is acceptable to Him. 1987 Yusuf Ali None shall have the power of intercession, but such a one as has received permission (or promise) from (Allah) Most Gracious. Pikthal They will have no power of intercession, save him who hath made a covenant with his Lord. Shakir They shall not control intercession, save he who has made a covenant with the Beneficent Allah My translation No one will possess intercession, but the one who has taken a promise from God. This re-check shows us people are the beneficiar of the "intercession" not the "actor/controller" of intercession, as by Quran no one shares "mulk" with God. now the following questions naturally rise Who has taken a promise from God? What is the nature of the "intercessor" as it cannot be a soul as per 248 and 2123? Who has taken a promise from God? as per Quran 263 (jews), 377, 3187, 514 (christians), 6152 (muslims), 1280, 337, 3315, 3323, 48,10, 578 Those are the ones who will have an "intercessor" with God permission. -What is the nature of the "intercessor" as it cannot be a soul as per 248 and 2123? If it cannot be a soul what can it be? I personnaly think it is the Quran, why? 20100 If any do turn away therefrom (Quran), verily they will bear a burden on the Day of Judgement; Then the opposite is true, by following the message, it will be a help on the DOJ 4344 And lo! it is in truth a Reminder for thee and for thy folk; and ye will be questioned. we will be questionned on the Reminder=Quran on the DOJ, so if we know and follow it, it will be a great help. 4051 Lo! We verily do help Our messengers, and those who believe, in the life of the world and on the day when the witnesses arise, witnesses are the messengers 441, 1689, 2278, 3345, and Quran reciting as per 1778 Establish regular prayers at the sun's decline till the darkness of the night, and the morning prayer and reading for the prayer and reading in the morning carry their testimony. Quran reading at dawn is "what" will intercess for us on the DOJ. confirmed by 1061 In whatever business thou mayest be, and whatever portion thou mayest be reciting from the Qur'an and whatever deed ye (mankind) may be doing We are Witnesses thereof when ye are deeply engrossed therein. Nor is hidden from thy Lord (so much as) the weight of an atom on the earth or in heaven. And not the least and not the greatest of these things but are recorded in a clear Record. Conclusion Quran reading is part of our prayers, Quran reading is witnessed and can be a of great help on the DOJ only and only if our commitment to God is true. Allah knows better, may God guide and bless us.

Why does everyone always blame the Christians? Doesn't anyone have a mind of their own? Does everyone follow like sheep? Well I wasn't blaming Christians if that's what you were saying. I'm just saying these falsehoods can be found in the bible but not the Quran (and by falsehoods I mean false and/or traditional things not found in the Quran which calls itself a confirming scripture, so if it's not in the Quran it ain't in the original torah or injeel either).

Actually that would be good for the arabic community or at least my family.. though i doubt they'd trust reading from a source of someone not so renown Thanks! Have you read any of his books or heard which one is the best? I read bits of his first book, my arabic isn't my strong point so I don't read much arabic Sorry can't help you much

Because people in the city will call him lunatic once they saw a guy praying to himself? Jesus kinda bored with hectic city life? What is the need of praying, if one praying to himself anyway? I imagine how funny it is for someone to pray to himself.. Me, grant me my daily bread. Me, forgive me of my wrongdoings. Glory to Me for ever and ever, Amen. THere also a figure of the Devil tempting Jesus in the desert.. Then the Devil was also God? Thus it is a God tempting God to betray God? Or the Devil is one of God's creature.. Then it is God's creature tempting God to betray God? It's a total logical mess... Salam / Peace I completely agree. Jesus was a man, a prophet, nothing else (and that coming from a Christian)

my argument would be hey, if they got to see a (supernatural) miracle (that breaks laws of nature), then i wanna see one too... i mean why God let them see it only, who are they, why they so special, why not us, today, huh, i'd like to see a man come out of fire (and i don't mean a fireman)... (no need to answer these questions, i'm just sayin, ya know) )
