Hi Alen, I think you haven't understood me correctly. I think everyone of us should try to maximize our efforts both for understanding Quran and transforming it to life with concrete outcomes. Going with the charity example, as one person only, we have our own capacity to share our income, say ... dollars. ok we should do it , of course. What i am saying is, we can do more than that. We can talk people around us, motivate them to share their income too. More than that, we can talk with food companies, hotels, etc. and motivate them to supply food. (maybe to a food bank / charity that you know doing good work) This is what i am trying to do recently. Hi afridi220, thanks for the link. I see that, as food spoils quickly, there should be some kind of food monitoring. Canned food companies may be a better target. I'm working on it. Thanks for the replies...

It only increases faith, as acknowledged in 7431. The mathematical miracle is simply a test (= fitnah) to reveal who is sincere and who is not. Well, it DOES say the dwellers of both places are staying in there forever (abada...) However no mentioning of paradise or hell lasting forever...but since paradise apparently has always been there (i think...) it won't perish... But since hell isn't even made yet, it will be made then perish along with it's disbelievers because they will achieve "just punishment" as God promises... So...when hell perishes (if at all) it's dwellers will go with it...since they obviously don't deserve paradise...I think Allah knows best.

But i always wandered the next question if HellFire will perish, then, does that mean that those in it will join us in heaven, because that would not exactly be fair, of would it, because God is The Most Merciful, God knows best, or does it mean that they from HellFire, will simply not exist anymore ....? Peace. As the article afridi provided says, it is thought that hell will eventually perish ALONG with its dwellers. I think somewhere in the Quran it even says they will be annihilated/destroyed. It may be referring to the end of hell. Yes pro, it is saying they will stay there forever, but I can stay forever in this room I'm in technically speaking. However what if the room gets destroyed? See what I'm saying? I still stayed there forever...until it was destroyed, and I went with it to oblivion. Besides if God promises a reward greater than what the good doers earned and says the unjust will receive equal retribution, I don't see the reason to believe hell is forever. -M

This is an interesting way of looking at it... The second definition you highlighted refers to them as a distinct group (i.e. The Sabians) in Arabia, who allegedly followed the teachings of the Psalms. According to the story, they all accepted Muhammad and converted to Islaam. It's not just speaking about any random group of people. So, this point is not a factor. However, I understand what you're saying on the rest, and you're right... The problem comes in, though, when you consider the word "muslimoon"/submitters. This word is NOT mentioned in this passage at all, and it's probably because the Qur'aan identifies Nazarenes and Jews as submitters too, just like the followers of Muhammad. Also, since it directly mentions the Jews and Nazarenes, it might be talking about a convert of either group, whether the individual is converting to Judaism, Nazarenism, or Islaam. Or maybe it's differentiating between the people who were born into the religion (their parents were believers), those who were already following Muhammad, or those who hadn't converted but later would... Either way, I don't think it was generally referring to everybody in every random religion that considers the idea of monotheism. If this was the case, it would be unnecessary for it to mention ANY specific groups (i.e. Jews, Nasara, muminoon); it would've just been general about the entire thing. But, as we know, it wasn't... I guess you can interpret this either way... Well, Nazerenes and Jews were/are large in numbers. Why not highlight them? Remember, in the same verse it says "anyone who..." It definately isn't referring to apostates, though. If the people were apostates from any of the systems that God described in this passage, then they DO have something to fear and reason to grieve, since they have marked themselves as "opposition" against God... Unless they repent... hmm What if they're still Submitters to God alone/Monotheists? I need to think about this.. however, I am definitely going for "followers of other belief systems".
