They say its easy to change what you think but not how you think. A person can be an fanatic fan of a football team and then switch to basketball and become a fanatic fan of a basketball team. He could also be a stamp collector but his fanaticism does not easily go away. A person can change what he thinks buts its harder to change how you think. I have had to do that since i started studying the Koran more carefully. It takes time but you need to be willing to do so in the first place. How you think might be influenced by your perspectives in life or by your nature and personality. But generally its easier to change what you think or believe but its harder to change how you go about believing things. I tend to agree with this. But age and cercumstances can also change how you think. peace

I never even dreamt that one day World Trade center will collapse, that Saddam will be hanging out with US troops, literally, that Britney will shave her head, that i will be banned from London central Mosque for being a Muslim. Are you kidding?? Islam is the only religion of those that doesnt have a distorted book. The Bible is composed of the Old Testament, which is a man-made book by the Jews, and the New Testament, which was written by people who didnt even see Jesus. Besids, there are many Gospels - the early church chose 4 of them that suited their beliefs most. You know how many Gospels they ommitted? And you don't think Bukhari, Muslim, Abu Dawood, Ibn Majah and Ibn Hanbal and Kafi and others are not distorted? Or are you saying that the Gospel is more "distorted" than all these Muslim books? And what are the things distorted in the Gospel anyways.

God's revelations cannot be limited to textual form. Those without knowledge of the texts would be unfairly screwed. The ones that are in text form, I consider these to be from the creator The Reading Tao Te Ching The Jefferson Bible (http//www.angelfire.com/co/JeffersonBible/) Also, one can walk The Path without ever reading a word from any of the aforementioned books.

Peace, My family (especially dad) thinks that I am being 'misled' by Satan the rebel. I have tried to explain my position by using the Quran many times but he fails to understand brickwall. He keeps telling me that the Mullahs on TV know much more than me and that we should follow them blindly. The Saudi petro funded Wahabism is reaching new heights since now they are using the media quite effectively to brainwash the masses to their view of 'Islam'. It is difficult finding a place to pray in the daytime and when you do find a corner you can never fully concentrate and take your time. It isn't about rushing an empty ritual. It is a personal connection with God that has to come from your heart and soul and 2458 tells us when our private times are. Do you pray traditionally? God bless Good point.

By the way just a short update on things there Protests still going on though numbers turning out has decreased. I can safely say at least 20 dead People at night shouting allaho akbar on rooftops in major cities Hospitals gaurded by militia to check who is being sent in. If baton or bullet injuries they will take details and most likely arrest (probabely after treatment) as the injury indicates that they were protesting. The are clear signs of dictatorship in iran. I truly hope that as history has shown dictators fall, similar would happen to iran Godwilling I am however concerned about tianamen in China were apprantly 1 million protested but of no avail.. Not sure if they had a dictator though.... Hoping and praying that the people's efforts would visiably bear fruits soon

Not at all. There are many scientific miracles in the Quran as well as with occurences of words. Do these go against nature? I think it is quite the opposite of what you're saying. Peace It depends which interpretation you go by. Arnold Yasin posted good articles on this forum on how the supposed miracles, performed by prophets/messengers were not miracles so to speak but were within the natural laws set by The God.His interpretation is worth a read by doing a search under his name and miracles. Remember the verse where the disbelievers ask a 'miracle' from The God and He replies that isn't it enough that He has sent down the book. Everything in my opinion follows laws set by The God and The God in his infinite knowledge works within these laws as his sunnah (ways) doesn't change. PEACE
