Possible...it could mean "of" or "from" since "min" carries both meanings. Salaam progressive1993 Can you please give an example where "min" can be translated as "of"? I know there are, but limited to some context.

I meant that "dhikr" is spoken "zikr" - like when we say it with our mouths we say "zikr". P What's the root for "Dhikr"? Please write in the following format (example) Zay-Ka-Waw so that I can look it up on PRL. Thanks I write "Dh" to be pronounced as "the". I do not know how it shows on PRL. It's not the same letter as in zakaat (Zay Ka Wau). It's (Dhal Kaaf Re) or Zal Ka Re

Peace, Respectfully. I did. I explained them very politly and without insulting them, i said, hadith contradict The Quran, themselves and common sense, then they called the curse and death upon me if i'm a liar and then they started calling me a kaffir and here i am away from them, good, good, this is good. I never lied their company either, well, except for the few sunnis with whom i was able to talk to about hadith because even though they knew i rejected them, they still treated me with respect and they still do, we still hang out almost every day, because they also have same problems like me - no accomodation, no job and lots of Patience and Huge Strength, Thank God. God describes them very well and clearly in His Quran deaf, dumb and blind. Peace. Peace. I haven't confronted anyone about them, except for my MIL and my husband. My MIL said it is a "sin" to question the hadiths, but my husband is a little more willing to listen to me. It's like chipping at a rock with a toothpick, he doesn't seem to listen to anything and gets angry right away when questioned. I say a little bit to him at a time, to let it sink in - because I know that he's listening but he's stubborn. He's said to me that if I was in Pakistan or Saudi Arabia I'd be killed for my ideas. Sound familiar Alen?? He's willing to do a "Qur'an study" with me weekly, so I'm going to pull up different themes (i.e. what the Qur'an says about intercession, the prophets being equal, etc). but not argue about the hadiths, but show him so he'll be aware what the Qur'an says.

Yes I see that. But what would they do if the lost there right hand in an accident? You are lucky in a sense, from what I understand, at least the Quran and the hadiths are separate. In Christianity the whole bible has been changed to include similar things to your hadiths, much more difficult trying to work out which is orriginal and which was introduced to make it "fit" I find the hadhis more confusing than quran!

Peace Meteora, ?And to everyone, I think the main discussion is about the meaning of "right hands possess", not what and what doesn't constitute a marriage? If you took time to read the first three (3) posts of this thread then you would have known the objective of this post. May I ask why you didn?t try to find the answer yourself? More importantly if you do not know the objective then how would you add value to the thread. Anyway, here are some relevant quotes from the first three posts ?What i'm questioning is the concept of marriage. I'm suggesting that the Quranic concept and description of marriage is pretty much the same as a couple in today's society.? ?I've been thinking about sex before marriage for a while in terms of whether it is morally acceptable in my mind/heart. I concluded yes.? I hope now it is clear to you that the thread is about Quranic definition of marriage and if that definition supports the living arrangement of today's couple. I recommend you read the whole thread to determine the best answer. If you have a better answer, please provide it to us. Thanks. Please remember that Quran is easy to understand. Therefore, finding an answer to said straightforward question should be quick, short and sweet for the believer. MMA should not be discussed on this thread because ?couple in today's society? does not = MMA. Our target should be efficient answer to the question at hand. Peace siki, Please refer to your post on May 26, 2009, where you said ? This is going to be my 1000th post, yay and I am likely to be earning the 4th and final star. I thank HIM for choosing me to help his creation by improving understanding of his last and final scripture? You sound like the fourth star is coming from the God or it is authorized by the God. In reality these stars are given by web site without any Quranic criteria. This is an unquranic behavior and you are subscribing to it. Here is why A hypocrite gets four star by posting 1000 posts A person posts 1000 non-quality posts and get four stars A Muslim posts 1000 posts and gets four stars A believer posts 1000 posts and gets four stars A messenger of the God posts 10 good posts but gets no star I hope you get my point of how worthless these stars are. People of understanding will reject it out-rite. On the other hand you rejoice in getting them to the point you have kept a daily account of it. Therefore, I must question your motive. Are you posting for the sake of achieving stars or for the good of you and others? You may have good intention but your behavior shows otherwise. Maybe the website will give certificate to Heaven when one reaches 10,000 posts or more. You also said ?......and never let my ego or personal likes/dislikes comes in the way..........?. But I found your post that said ?For all who are posting to resolve this issue? quite egoistic in nature for the following reasons You were giving direction as if you are the originator of this thread except that you were not You disrespected the thread owner by doing so, in my opinion You portrayed yourself as the one in control If it was your thread then there is no problem I may agree with some of the things you said except that it wasn't your place to say it. I am providing these comments as constructive criticism. I hope you don't take it in a negative sense. We have to be mindful of others at all time. Peace huruf, ?Congratulations also to siki for his 1000th post, great achievement in trying to polish the unpolished, and also for his n-th "you women who suck to the feminist western brainwash" post which I find so funny, unlike the rest which are more serious.? Instead of correcting an unquranic behavior you are applauding it. I hope this was unintentional and an honest mistake. We should always critique our own write-up before publishing it. Peace truthseeker11, ?...the couple can expose their private parts...? prior to Quranic marriage is the most ridiculous thing I have heard. Why limit your rationale to ?don't like each other's private parts? only. How about fertility? How do you satisfy this important criterion without having sex prior to marriage? Also, oath is something that one does not wish to go back on whereas marriage proposal could be violated prior to the first sexual relation. My point is that the definition of marriage is clear. I'm sure somewhere in the Quran it mentions giving dowries to the bride and witnesses, so as long as those conditions are met, a marriage can be established. If it's out of this pale - then no. People today tend to think of a marriage as having a big party and playing dress-up. This is not islamic per se. I think now slaves and a wife is unacceptable. If God put or in, then it's or.

I have no problem with considering an evil and a fahisha malignant gossip and I can readily see that it is a sin and eating the neighbour's flesh. Thhe question is whether it is about that that speaks 4.15 and 4.16. To me it fits much better the prostituon question. On the other hand I see no reason either to see it as more encompassing than just what Supernaut and I say and what Samia and others say. It doesn't have to be restricted to one category which happens to pop on translation. It may encompass more things. However, when it says filbuyut and not fi buyutihinna and see it as more fitting and benefitting for prostitutes. Salaam

I hope that is not the case, because children were also being born at the time of the Profet, so it is not some novelty, and if in spite of that the Qur'an says four witnesses and nothing else, children may have plenty of uses, but certainly not as a proof of zina. Also that would mean that Maryam would have bene stoned, and I do not know hoe the geniuses who invent extra coranc stuff do not see that. Salaam

Where does it say that sperm comes from the ribs and back? 865 So let man see from what he was created. 866 He was created from water that spurts forth. 867 It comes out from between the spine and the ribs.

I find his answers quite interesting and different from the usual cleric... Question ok thank you i have a question to , i have a friend ( for real its not me) but she's dating a muslim boy an i really dont trust him an he keeps using his religion as a resson why they have allt his kind of sex an say's to her that she's going to be his wife an that she has to become muslim and that..well iunno i cant really explain it its weird and i my eyes wrong. i also wanted to ask if some one ( me) wanted to know more about islam not to be muslim but to be educated about it how would i go about to do that Answer In islam sex before marriage or outside of marriage is strictly prohibited. A Muslim man can marry a Jewish or a Christian lady without requiring that she converts to Islam. However, if she converts this would be better to ensure that married life goes smoothly without having the two spouses pulling in different directions. In fact, due to known problems having occurred with such mixed marriages, many Muslim scholars in North America insist that the female should convert to Islam before marriage. To learn about Islam you may pick up a simple book such as the Complete Idiot's Guide to Islam by Yahya Emerick. Shabir Ally

As Salaam Alaikum, Does Queen Rania of Jordan reject hadiths? I've read a letter that people hvae said is from her, but I find it skeptical. Why? Becuase I imagine that if she did such a thing publicly it would be all over the news whenever you look her up on the web, and there would be tons of article denouncing her becuase of it........... so does she?? salaam Peace, Respectfully. I read the artciles where Queen rania is calling people to come back to The Quran and abandon sectariasm, so i'd say she is calling people to follow just and only The Quran, like we. Of course, she is more wise, at least more then me, she doesn't lose her cool while conveying. I have been arguing politely with these guys but it's like talking to a brick wall. I really don't hate sunnis but i don't like the path they are taking. I wish i could do more to get the message across. Peace.

Do you mean the REAL Islam (following the Quran) or traditional? I meant the Islam being practiced in the world at large, rather then the islam of the quran- which are of course two different things. peace
