Salam SarahY As a descendant of Ali, it is my right to lodge my grievance to Allah for the crimes of Abu Bakr, Umar ibn alkhattab, Uthman, Aisha, Abu Sufyan, Mu'awyah & Yazid against Ali, Fatima & ahl al bayt. There is enough evidence to my satisfaction that they disobeyed direct directives of a Prophet & Messenger who lived among them & who never said succession should be by votes (by extension will people vote for a Messenger or Prophet?) That being said my stand is I reject the Shia creed & the Imamate it is based on. I also reject the Sunni creed which canonised Hadiths as abrogating Qur'an. My creed is described in Qur'an only. It is Abraham's creed which Mohamed (P) followed. Peace Nabil H Salam, Yes I could understand that perspective. However, as far as I am aware the Shia (Twelverer) perspective is that Ali's succession was a decree from God, which is why it is so significant. If something is a decree from God you would assume there would be more dispute and uproar. I'm sure the argument of what could've or should've been could go on forever and no doubt many injustices have happened.

I agree with the above just want to make it a bit more specific Forgiving an unrepentant evil person is a bad thing. Accepting an unrepentant evil person is a bad thing (it's like acting as though it's not evil to be evil). Blessing an unrepentant evil person is a bad thing (it's like treating evil as though it's good). Forgiving is never a bad thing and so does accepting and blessing. The 'limit' where you just can't forgive, accept or bless will set the 'standard' that will definitely be used to judge you. Thus the standard that you use to judge others will be used as a standard to judge you. What goes around comes around...

Salam.. Yes.. A wonderful verse.. And good conversation.. I read page 1 and 2 though. . My point in this verse is grammar... Why the M L K in verse 6917 necessarily be AngelS... While if I am not complicated with what I know of... Malak malakain and malaika they are 1, 2 and 3 or more.. Is it? But the word here is perhaps singular.. If it is one malak then how can the singular malak be in the edges of Heaven.. That's bit bizarre.. Further.. How can Angels be called Yahmilu (it is singular) .. And what about fa'khum (above them) ..above whom? If only one malak then why above them?.. So... What if this word malak in this verse refer something else like sovereign etc.. This arj'aiHa refers to heaven's borders.. I feel this verse is totally different to whatis translated... I feel like.. On thatvday heaven will split asunder... Earth will become spread out without any crookedness.. The canopy of heaven is no more... And the sovereignity is ib Upto edges.. So Arsh of Allah is visible... And that day instead of 7 it will be 8 ..coz Arsh is the one we see above us... Whatever.. God knows.. But.. Anyone who is good Arabic.. Explain the grammar here.. Comparing each words...

It is the privilege of God to want nothing, and of godlike men to want little. All suffering was caused by desire, those who have no desire then definitely will not suffer. Therefore, there is no "pair", and there is no "fear". rotfl The saintly servants of God will feel no fear (of being human/stupid) and will know no sorrow (Quran 1062) Without "fear" there will be no "courage/bravery". Thus those who never experienced fear will also never recognize "courage/bravery". Once "fear" is experienced, one will eventually arrived on a state where the "fear" has been resolved / handled by facing it and not running away from it. This state is called "courage/bravery". Those who are aware of his/her/it's unity with the infinite creator will realize that his/her/it's own limited identity/persona/ego actually does not exist. He/she/it knew very well that Every-thing that has a beginning will have an end. Every-thing that was born will experienced death. Once the truth of the above has been recognized, then one shall resolve the 'fear'.. thus 'courage/bravery' is found. Because the 'nature' of fear is a threat to one's existence. Fear of death, fear of losing, fear of suffering, fear of poverty, fear of being tortured etc... Once one has recognized that his/her/it's identity existence is actually 'temporary' / 'virtual' then one shall resolved/triumphed over fear and found courage/bravery. A simple example on free-minds' universe. jafar is a virtual identity, only exist on free-minds. And jafar has a beginning, thus definitely he will also have an end, there will be time when jafar will meet it's death on free-minds universe. And then let's say the Admin or we can also say the "God" of free-minds universe wanted to exert control over jafar behavior and opinion. Free-minds god then send out a threat to jafar, to do X or not do X (whatever X is) or else he will be punished by being killed. jafar knew very well that he will eventually face death and also knew very well the 'virtual-ness' of his existence on free-minds. He then answered with "Go ahead free-minds God.. kill me". The free-minds God failed to exert control over jafar through fear.. but to at least 'save the reputation/authority' and also in order to exert control over identities other than jafar in free-minds universe, the God then move forward by killing jafar. And put jafar's case as an example to others. "Do X (or do not do X) otherwise we will kill you as we did to jafar". jafar felt no fear as he was threatened with death by the free-minds God and certainly since he also accepted the event of death he will also not experienced any suffering. As he has no desire to avoid death anyway.

Salam to all, "and kill yourselves" how? God bless all Salam Centi50 Like jumping off a building or killing your ego. I think both apply to the above verse. Some people become depressed and unhappy with life. I think it's better for them to try and find the willpower to be better beings so that God would stop punishing them by inflicting hardship on them. They can be become better beings by being less unfair to God. They are only suffering hardship because they harbour unfairness, evil, or insincerity towards God (or because they want more good from God, but they don't deserve it. Some people want more good from God and then they strive hard to get it. They make sacrifices to get it. Some people want more good from God and are unwilling to strive for it a deserved strive) But some people are unwilling to reconcile their insincerity/evil towards God. In such a scenario, I think it's better for such people to kill themselves (jump off a building) than to try and alleviate their hardship through sin. For example, if you are hungry but no food has been provided for you, and you cannot be bothered enough to find food legally, then it's better to kill yourself than to steal food from another. I know, from previous threads you're (G.A) arrogant ignorance knows no bounds, but you need only use a dictionary look up the origin of the term, and you'll find law means as I point out. You "must" also be re-presented in any positive law court, you cannot be un-re-presented, YOU MUST BE a constructed legal fiction, they cannot deal with a living soul, or inherent power, as these things are immutable, unalienable and universal, the legal fictions are just that fictions placed upon you through a straw man.

I got the info from the book called "Hanafi principles of testing hadith" by Shaykh Atabek Shukurov. It deals with classical hanafi principles, not modern hanafi version which is significantly influenced by Shafi principles. It seems pretty obvious from Traditional Islamic and historical sources that the elevated status of hadith took a while to establish itself and became dominant post-Shafi. Jews have the Talmud which is also riddled with inconsistencies & magical thinking, even as an Arab Jew, i never bothered about Talmud Rabbinical edicts, & since 2000 Qur'an is more than enough for me, the rest is just decoration & static. When I see how harsh the retribution was for Abbasids to follow Imam Shafi'3 subversive edict & put hadiths on a pedestal, I'd rather steer clear from them & let scholars, sadly some vacuous & lame, deal with them. As a practical example, if someone comes to me & tries to use hadith to convince me on any matter legal or otherwise, my response will be consistently to ask that person to prove it by Qur'an, otherwise it is invalid & spurious.

Salam, vain talk or action is anything that causes one into commiting gross or minor sin at the worst case. At the best case, vain talk or action is anything that "waste your time" with regard to developing your soul in preparation to day of judgement. We are human so we always will make mistakes like participate in vain things but we should develop our Iman to the point that at least we can identify vain things from our lives and remove it as much as possible. You can also convert a vain things into something righteous. For example taking a 1 week vacation for non believers they focus on their own relaxation and escape from reality which is a vain things. For a guided person, they take 1 or 2 days in the vacation and maybe do some charity work at the new destination and the rest they use to relax and ponder on Allah. Can you see the difference? The same vacation for the non believer is really waste of time but for the righteous person he or she has converted the vacation into a righteous deed.

Not sure anyone, I certainly cannot, would be able to add anything which would make even the slightest difference to scales of this debate. However here is my one penny/cent/rupee etc worth If one accepts that creation had a creator. The creator must have had purpose in creation. If the creator was to be infinite then creation was one of the routes of this infinity. As 99.9% of human DNA is identical. Then (bit of faith required) if creator exists within creation (as claimed by many faiths). Then maybe the 99.9% or part of is the creator. If creation continues to exist then creator continues. Hence the infinity of the creator. Can see the flaws ie did creation always exist? who created the creator etc.However these are probably beyond the evolutionary stage of the 0.1% DNA to comprehend. Salam brothers & sisters, Finished watching the series Dirilis Ertugrul (Resurrection Ertugrul) & finished watching Season 1 of the sequel Kurulus Osman (Establishment Osman) I can only say, wonderful series putting Islam & Turks in a favourable light. It was a disaster for Muslims that Ottoman Empire fell, but Allah will bring forth a new group that will, God willing, resurrect the flame of Qur'an & Allah's Word, as Allah promised, if they return, We will return.
