It is a proven fact that Mohammad(pbuh) did recieve extra quranic guidance, weather rest of the humainty needs it , or not ? that was decided by the author of Quran, what he thought was necessary, he included it in the Book. opf! i was too dumb to extract any thing out of your post , but burhan's one line made me understand, but thanks handshake for giving it a try. The after life concept was very much like the concepts I've heard certain mystics believe in, even the reincarnation part too. I'm not sure if I subscribe to the idea mainly because it was so material , but definitly intersting for sure! peace

I'm wondering about the characters added to the letters. If these are in any way, shape or form different. Some different meanings arise. E.g. Malek VS Malak

does that include giving food to people who are richer then us? Absolutely not, why would you do that? The whole point in giving is giving to the needy.

No, paying zakat is not enough, it is the whole package that makes Islam work as a system for Mankind. Christians, Jews and so on pay tax now also, not for the benefit of Mankind, but just because the government wants it, they follow the laws not to get in trouble, not because they support them directly. They just want to profess their beliefs, nothing more. They do good to individuals, but are not busy with creating a fair wellfare system and help mankind. The Western wellfare were created under secular rule, not under Christian rule... This is the difference with a Muslim, that person wants to follow the Laws because he knows it is best for Mankind, he wants to pay zakat as he knows it will help others and the whole nation and so on. The intention is different, and God judges us on intention. I agree with the intention. However, what I don't understand from your point, is that you are saying that Christians and Jews pay taxes because its the government telling them to do so. What exactly stops Christians, Jews, or any person, to give to charities to benefit humankind, monthly, because they want to? The way I am understanding from your posts is that only true Muslims give for the benefit of mankind and that Christians, Jews, etc. give for personal salvation, required to do so, etc. and not for the benefit of humanity. I can see if you were to generalize it, but from the way I see it you are stating that all of them do it for those reasons. No offense, but where is the proof to make such a statement that all of them do it for those reasons? No they have 2 completely goals and create 2 completely different situations Survival of the fittest Stalin killed many many people using the rule survival of the fittest. Many communist regimes also used this rule as an excuse to kill and oppress the people. Hitler killed any weak race based on this rule. They killed people as they believed that only the fittest would survive, even WW1 was fought partialy because of this doctrine. Racism used this doctrine as a rule to profess the idea of superiority of certain races above the other. To act for the benefit of your species Cure diseases, stop hunger, create equal social and economic situations, stop wars and crimes... Wow..What a difference indeed... Because Stalin said (?) or insinuated that it was "survival of the fittest", we base it off of that? Its like the Nazi symbol, when in actuality it comes from other beliefs, from Eastern to Native Americans. When one says "Survival of the fittest", I interpret it that only the fittest for that environment/situation survives. Isn't that the definition of "survival of the fittest"? Again, isnt this all semantics? Act at the benefit of the species. Couldn't we connect this to natural selection? In the wild, the animals will even kill their own if they are not fit to survive so it doesn't get introduced into the gene pool. Peace

Salam. Wanna become a Muslim? Peace4life quoted the right verses submit to God. That's it. Sunnis have asked me what does a person say when s/he wants to becaome a Muslim? My answer is always this it's the thing in your heart that counts, not just the words. I have been saying for years i'm an actor, writer, director and a producer. people took me as a writer only after i wrote a script. They will recognise me as actor when they see me in the local cinema in a psychological thriller opposite Jennifer Love Hewitt and Gary Oldman. God willing. I will be a director after i direct a movie and a producer after i invest a certain amount of money in a movie. See my point? After you read The Quran and execute its orders and practice it, then you will be a Muslim. Ask God to guide you. Rely on God, trust God, God knows you don't, i don't and sunnis follow desires. Peace nerspi, This is the only sin that God will not forgive after death. a few questions i have what exactly is shirk? ok it's worskiping anything other than the One God, but what is that? how do we know we're not unintentionaly doing that? i read if one spends too much time with something, like the thing one ocupies his/her mind with the most, then that's his god. but what is too much time? if a man spends a lot of time with his wife and kids, does that mean he's worshiping them? is there a limit on how much time we can spend with anything else? Spouses, children, material things, etc. are all blessings that allow us (or that we should) to focus our praise and thankfulness to Allah. These are all reminders, similar to reading Quran. They should evoke our praises, not take over our focus. If you spend too much time with things and forget Allah, then you have just set up a partner IMO. In everything that you do, you have to have taqwa.
