Peace "Dargento", Many classical Arabic dictionatries like lanes are based on more unbiased and perhaps even archeological evidence. Thats why them being forged is much more unlikely. GOD Bless!

Yes it did, but it was also a practice done by the pagans. They had idols inside the ka'ba and they used to gather for pilgrimage there. The practice left by Ibrahim became distorted and in time it became a pagan gathering after paganism became dominant in Arabia. The3 idols were smashed after Islam entered Mecca. So the point of focus were a bunch of idols inside the Ka'bah as opposed to the whole cube itself? confused indeed.

does she believe jesus is son of god though? Son Of God is actually a translation from "BEN ELOHYM", the hebrew word "BEN" has a plural form; "BENEY". The word "BENEY" is actually conveys the same meanings as "BANI" in Arabic. BENEY YISREEL / BANI ISRAIL usually translated as PEOPLE OF ISRAIL. BENEY ELOHYM (Childrens Of God) is actually mean "GOD's PEOPLE" / "Godly People". Thus BEN ELOHYM (Son Of God) is actually means "GOD'S MAN" In the Bible, even David and Solomon are also titled as "BEN ELOHYM" (Son Of God) which means; they are "GOD's MAN". This is a good example of how mis-translation can cause great mis-understanding. Salam

to say that muhammad spread the religion by the sword is like saying he was a disbeliever 2190 And fight in the cause of God against those who fight you, but do not transgress, God does not like the aggressors.

Episcopal priest or Muslim? Redding will have a year to think about it For her part, Redding said she didn't feel a need to reconcile all the differences between the two faiths but felt that at the most basic level, they are compatible. She believes she has not violated any of her baptismal or ordination vows. And "since entering Islam," she said, "I have been, by my own estimation, a better teacher, a better preacher and a better Christian." Think on some more miss Redding, and you'll find you're on the right track.. Leaving the priest order is the right decision... you're abandoning SECTARIANISM.. But you're entering a new sect called SUNIISM.. (Which I've abandoned years ago D Thank God for that) I think miss Redding should be notified of the existence of this website. And the existence of this verse on the Quran "He decreed for you the same religion (ArabicDien) decreed for Noah, and what we inspired to you, and what we decreed for Abraham, Jesus and Moses You shall uphold this religion (ArabicDien) do not divide it." 4213 Salam

peace be upon you all we should, expose 911,support ron paul's presidential campain, expose the illegal income tax and stop paying it now, boycott everything you can, learn the constitution of the usa, unite with people who want to do those same things....thats if you are in america....and things will start to change once a change is achieved we are more free to express ourselves and people less biased so they can understand a little better. islam will fall by itself, when people is ready to accept it...now,under the world we live today with all the propaganda that SHAPES minds a way convenient to the army of satan its impossible to just achieve islam through spreading the message(dawah) through the mouth. and all if God wills... peace

Hmm, it is interesting that in the 11th century Christianity was confined mostly in Western Europe. It was also interesting how "conquest" in Islam represents a minority of Muslim territory. Conquest here is defined by the video as over taking another religions territory. And yet people still say Islam spread by the sword, even me. I just didn't have the knowledge like I do now, damn. brickwall

Peace Arnold, I have to give it to you, you are very persistent in your views. For me there are two layers of understanding in the Quran, the main one is literal, and enveloping it is allegorical only for matters that are difficult to understand for us trapped in this time/space continuum, or that we have not yet experienced or seen yet, using real examples to explain those matters, but this does not make them unreal, in fact they will be more real and profound than what we are used to... I just want to add a comment about Jonah's fish, it would have been a whale, as the term fish might have been used for anything that looks like a fish in the old arabic, because they then did not have the know-how to distinguish between the two... thank you for the fish

Peace all, Peace, Islamic behaviour is always referred in the plural and all points to communal acts. Islam is no personal salvation religion, but a Divine programme to guide Mankind into becoming one unity and to have harmony with Reality. But the Arabic word FalyaSsumhu isn't plural. It is male singular, hence it isn't necessarily a communal command. By the way, sister Samia pointed out the misunderstanding I originally had of this word (falyaSsumhu) in another thread. Peace, Damon.
