(4-104) Lo! We reveal unto thee the Scripture with the truth, that thou mayst
judge between mankind by that which Allah showeth thee. And be not thou a
pleader for the treacherous;
According to the Quran, the prophet Mohamed (PBUH) was instructed by God to follow the Quran laws that are written in perfect words; moreover, the Quran warns the believers from following any books that would contradict its laws, and even following the verses that was revealed for a specific situations, and not following the decisive ones that are the basics of God?s laws.
He it is Who has revealed the Book to you; some of its verses are decisive, they
are the basis of the Book, and others are allegorical; then as for those in
whose hearts there is perversity they follow the part of it which is
allegorical, seeking to mislead and seeking to give it (their own)
interpretation. but none knows its interpretation except Allah, and those who
are firmly rooted in knowledge say We believe in it, it is all from our Lord;
and none do mind except those having understanding (3- 7).
In the previous Quranic verse, and many other verses, God warns people from following verses in the Quran that were revealed to give the prophet certain guidance in a specific situation. In other words, the prophet follows special laws for a given situation, but once the situation ends, the special guidance should not be followed, but the original one?the decisive?becomes the law.
The Quran commandment, as in the ten commandments of the Old Testament, is ?you shall not kill except in certain conditions that are given in the Quran?.
6-151. Say "Come, I will rehearse what Allah hath (really) prohibited you
from" Join not anything as equal with Him; be good to your parents; kill not
your children on a plea of want;- We provide sustenance for you and for them;-
come not nigh to shameful deeds. Whether open or secret; take not life, which
Allah hath made sacred, except by way of justice and law thus doth He command
you, that ye may learn wisdom.
The right translation for the bolded words is ?take not life, which Allah hath made sacred, except by ?Elhak??A decisive Quranic Law?.
17-33. Nor take life - which Allah has made sacred - except for just cause. And
if anyone is slain wrongfully, we have given his heir authority (to demand
qisas
or to forgive) but let him nor exceed bounds in the matter of taking
life; for
he is helped (by the Law).
Again, the right translation is ?except by a
decisive Quranic law?
25-68. Those who invoke not, with Allah, any other god, nor slay such life as
Allah has made sacred except for just cause, nor commit fornication; - and any
that does this (not only) meets punishment.
Again, the right translation is ?except by a decisive Quranic law?.
29-46. And dispute ye not with the People of the Book, except with means better
(than mere disputation), unless it be with those of them who inflict wrong (and
injury) but say, "We believe in the revelation which has come down to us and in
that which came down to you; Our Allah and your Allah is one; and it is to Him
we bow (in Islam)."
The Quranic conditions in which killing is tolerable?The decisive verses.
1- Eye for an Eye
2-178. O ye who believe! the law of equality is prescribed to you in cases of
murder the free for the free, the slave for the slave, the woman for the woman.
But if any remission is made by the brother of the slain, then grant any
reasonable demand, and compensate him with handsome gratitude, this is a
concession and a Mercy from your Lord. After this whoever exceeds the limits
shall be in grave penalty.
2-Self-defense
2-190. Fight in the cause of Allah those who fight you, but do not transgress
limits; for Allah loveth not transgressors.
2-194. The prohibited month for
the prohibited month,- and so for all things prohibited,- there is the law of
equality. If then any one transgresses the prohibition against you, Transgress
ye likewise against him. But fear Allah, and know that Allah is with those who
restrain themselves.
The Quran verses that are mentioned in the Fitna Movie about fighting others were revealed when the prophet and his followers were killed, tortured, and chased out from their land by other non-believers. Some of these people who fought against the prophet were Christian and Jews who lived in Mecca, therefore, God had to give the Prophet special instructions to fight back.
Some Quranic Verses that emphasize on the Law of ?not to Kill?
5-2. O ye who believe! Violate not the sanctity of the symbols of Allah, nor of
the sacred month, nor of the animals brought for sacrifice, nor the garlands
that mark out such animals, nor the people resorting to the sacred house,
seeking of the bounty and good pleasure of their Lord. But when ye are clear of
the sacred precincts and of pilgrim garb, ye may hunt and let not the hatred of
some people in (once) shutting you out of the Sacred Mosque lead you to
transgression (and hostility on your part). Help ye one another in righteousness
and piety, but help ye not one another in sin and rancour fear Allah. for Allah
is strict in punishment.
5-8. O ye who believe! stand out firmly for Allah,
as witnesses to fair dealing, and let not the hatred of others to you make you
swerve to wrong and depart from justice. Be just that is next to piety and
fear Allah. For Allah is well-acquainted with all that ye do.
2-208. O ye
who believe! Enter into peace whole-heartedly; and follow not the footsteps of
the evil one; for he is to you an avowed enemy.
5-32. On that account We
ordained for the Children of Israel that if any one slew a person - unless it be
for murder or for spreading mischief in the land - it would be as if he slew the
whole people and if any one saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life
of the whole people. Then although there came to them Our apostles with clear
signs, yet, even after that, many of them continued to commit excesses in the
land.
60-8. Allah forbids you not, with regard to those who fight you not for
(your) Faith nor drive you out of your homes, from dealing kindly and justly
with them for Allah loveth those who are just.
The killing and beheading of hostages in Iraq
8-67. It is not fitting for an apostle that he should have prisoners of war
until he hath thoroughly subdued the land. Ye look for the temporal goods of
this world; but Allah looketh to the Hereafter And Allah is Exalted in might,
Wise. 68. Had it not been for a previous ordainment from Allah, a severe penalty
would have reached you for the (ransom) that ye took. 69. But (now) enjoy what
ye took in war, lawful and good but fear Allah. for Allah is Oft-forgiving,
Most Merciful. 70. O Messenger. say to those who are captives in your hands "If
Allah findeth any good in your hearts, He will give you something better than
what has been taken from you, and He will forgive you for Allah is
Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful."
It is very clear that God warns Moslems from mistreating hostages.
47-4. Therefore, when ye meet the Unbelievers (in fight), smite at their necks;
At length, when ye have thoroughly subdued them, bind a bond firmly (on them)
thereafter (is the time for) either generosity or ransom Until the war lays
down its burdens. Thus (are ye commanded) but if it had been Allah.s Will, He
could certainly have exacted retribution from them (Himself); but (He lets you
fight) in order to test you, some with others. But those who are slain in the
Way of Allah,- He will never let their deeds be lost.
Hostages should be released with or without ransom, according to God?s law.
76-8. And they feed, for the love of Allah, the indigent, the orphan, and the
captive,- 9. (Saying),"We feed you for the sake of Allah alone no reward do we
desire from you, nor thanks. 10. "We only fear a Day of distressful Wrath from
the side of our Lord." 11. But Allah will deliver them from the evil of that
Day, and will shed over them a Light of Beauty and (blissful) Joy. 12. And
because they were patient and constant, He will reward them with a Garden and
(garments of) silk. 13. Reclining in the (Garden) on raised thrones, they will
see there neither the sun's (excessive heat) nor (the moon's) excessive
cold.
God rewards people for being kind to hostages.
Stoning to death the married man or woman who commit adultery
4-15. If any of your women are guilty of lewdness, Take the evidence of four
(Reliable) witnesses from amongst you against them; and if they testify, confine
them to houses until death do claim them, or Allah ordain for them some (other)
way.
24-1. A sura which We have sent down and which We have ordained in it
have We sent down Clear laws, in order that ye may receive admonition. 24-2. The
woman and the man guilty of adultery or fornication,- flog each of them with a
hundred stripes Let not compassion move you in their case, in a matter
prescribed by Allah, if ye believe in Allah and the Last Day and let a party of
the Believers witness their punishment.
And that is the punishment that God
ordain for them, and ordered prophet Mohamed to follow; and not the stoning to
death!
4-25. If any of you have not the means wherewith to wed free believing
women, they may wed believing girls from among those whom your right hands
possess And Allah hath full knowledge about your faith. Ye are one from
another Wed them with the leave of their owners, and give them their dowers,
according to what is reasonable They should be chaste, not lustful, nor taking
paramours when they are taken in wedlock, if they fall into shame, their
punishment is half that for free women. This (permission) is for those among you
who fear sin; but it is better for you that ye practise self-restraint. And
Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.
If the punishment is stoning to death, how can you do half of it in the previous verse?s case!
Forcing religion upon people
Forcing people to warship God is a forbidden act by God. It is an act that undermines the essence of why God created humans. God wants people to warship him through their free-well, which would show their love for him. Forcing worshiping upon people not only damages the relationship between God and his humans, but distract people from loving their God. As we know, love can only come at free-well.
10-99And if your Lord had pleased, surely all those who are in the earth would
have believed, all of them; will you then force men till they become
believers?
A warning message to the prophet to not force people into
worshiping.
10-100 And it is not for a soul to believe except by
Allah's permission; and He casts uncleanness on those who will not understand.
2-256 There is no compulsion in religion; truly the right way has
become clearly distinct from error; therefore, whoever disbelieves in the
Shaitan and believes in Allah he indeed has laid hold on the firmest handle,
which shall not break off, and Allah is Hearing, Knowing.
Without a doubt,
according to the Quran, Extremists? ideology is an evil one that follows man?s
made laws and disrespect God?s laws.
4-60 Hast thou not seen those who
pretend that they believe in that which is revealed unto thee and that which was
revealed before thee, how they would go for judgment (in their disputes) to
false deities when they have been ordered to abjure them? Satan would mislead
them far astray. And when it is said unto them Come unto that which Allah hath
revealed and unto the messenger, thou seest the hypocrites turn from thee with
aversion. (61) How would it be if a misfortune smote them because of that which
their own hands have sent before (them)? Then would they come unto thee,
swearing by Allah that they were seeking naught but harmony and kindness. (62)
Those are they, the secrets of whose hearts Allah knoweth. So oppose them and
admonish them, and address them in plain terms about their souls.
(63)
4-14 And whoso disobeyeth Allah and His messenger and
transgresseth His limits, He will make him enter Fire, where he will dwell for
ever; his will be a shameful doom
According to the previous verses and many
others, the Al-Qaida and any other extremists are people that should not be
followed or supported by true Moslems, or be allowed to govern a society.
From my analysis, it was very clear that a misunderstanding exists between the Moslem people and the West. A misunderstanding that was caused by the wrong teaching of Islam, which represented the religion not only as a strange one to the West, but a dangerous one.
The word ?Islam? is Arabic word that God used in the Quran to describe his religion. The word ?Moslem? is Arabic word that translates in English to ?a person who submits to one God?. Thus, when God said in the Quran that prophets Abraham, Ishmael, Jacob, Moses, Jesus, and all the other prophets (peace be upon them) and their followers are ?Moslems?, he meant that they are believers whom submitted to him. Moreover, God stated that The Quran, The Bible, and The Old Testament are his books that contain the same laws. Thus, any body who believe in one God and respects all the books is a believer that translate to the Arabic word ?Moslem?!
28-52. Those to whom We sent the Book before this,- they do believe in this
(revelation) 53. And when it is recited to them, they say "We believe therein,
for it is the Truth from our Lord indeed we have been Muslims (bowing to
Allah.s Will) from before this.
But due to man made books that came after the death of the prophets, the three religions became different ones. In the case of Islam, the Scholars who lived in the period after the death of prophet Mohamed passed Sharia books that contained lies and misinterpretations of Quran. The result is a religion that caused the misunderstanding between the West and the Moslem world.
Unless we fix what the old scholars did, the grievances of Moslems and the Westerns will continue.
In some verses in the Quran, the prophet Mohamed (PBUH) was instructed to fight back the Jews and Christians who allied with the unbelievers to fight Moslems and end their religion. In our days, the same situation happened in Bosnia when Christians were killing Moslems. Unsurprisingly, the west moved to do the job that the prophet was instructed to do 1400 years ago (the verses that the Fitna Movie mentioned about the war against non-moslems) . The West, not only fought Christians, but allied with Bosnian Moslems against those who stood for religion intolerance, regardless of their religion! And that is why God instructed The prophet to do so, and also, God instruct us to do so when we find countries or dictators oppressing their societies?The United Nations Laws.
Finally, here are some true words from the God of the Quran about the Bible and the Old Testament
He hath revealed unto thee (Muhammad) the Scripture with truth, confirming that
which was (revealed) before it, even as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel.
(3) Aforetime, for a guidance to mankind; and hath revealed the Criterion of
right and wrong. Lo! those who disbelieve the revelations of Allah, theirs will
be a heavy doom. Allah is Mighty, Able to Requite (the wrong). (Quran-sora
3-verse 2)
Lo! We did reveal the Torah, wherein is guidance and a
light, by which the prophets who surrendered (unto Allah) judged the Jews, and
the rabbis and the priests (judged) by such of Allah's Scripture as they were
bidden to observe, and thereunto were they witnesses. So fear not mankind, but
fear Me. And barter not My revelations for a little gain. Whoso judgeth not by
that which Allah hath revealed such are disbelievers.(5-44)
And We
caused Jesus, son of Mary, to follow in their footsteps, confirming that which
was (revealed) before him in the Torah, and We bestowed on him the Gospel
wherein is guidance and a light, confirming that which was (revealed) before it
in the Torah - a guidance and an admonition unto those who ward off (evil).
(5-46) Let the People of the Gospel judge by that which Allah hath revealed
therein. Whoso judgeth not by that which Allah hath revealed such are
evil-livers. (5-47)
