And to the person who posted, "God guides whomever He wills." You are correct... That was taken from Alqur'aan. So i think you meant to say "Alqur'aan is correct...". http//www.quran.com/search/Allah+guides+whom+He+wills Peace

Allah is closer to us than our own breath. Allah is our creator and our sustainer, alhamdulillah! Allah's mercy, compassion, and love are right in front of us on the straight path. We need only to pray that Allah bestows His grace upon us and that Allah will show us and keep us upon the straight path. This is a daily quest. Sometimes we become distracted from Allah with the toils of the day...idols such as success, financial gain, and other temporal things. This is why we pray al-Salat, to bring us back to remember that Allah is the center of our lives. The only reason that I breathe is because of Allah's love. Subhan'Allah! bravo God just lends us life. He lends it to us and then he takes it back. Our life IS part of God - he is that close

Simmer down Abdal... muscle Fawzia, Asr be kheyr! Shoma chestur hastin? I want to welcome you to this place of rejects. This is a plaza of heretics, some might assert, and I am proud to say that I belong here. There is nothing in Islam, true Quranic Islam, that states that wrestling with our faith will never occur. For certain, I do not hold the Hadiths and the Sunnah to be as elevated as al Quran by virtue that al Quran was recited by Allah to our Prophet Muhammed's, pbuh, blessed ears. I have serious misgivings about Sharia Law on this basis. The Law of Allah was expounded to the Prophet Moses. When the Prophet Isa, pbuh, came to us, he said that he did not come to change one letter of the Law of Allah, and the injeel is congruent this statement. And so, why should we believe that Sharia Law reflects the true will of Allah? Because learned philosophers and clerics said that Sharia Law is righteous?? We must obey and submit to Allah, not men/women who would set themselves up as Allah. I pray for your spiritual journey. May Allah will reveal the straight path and guide you upon it like a merciful father. May the peace and blessings of Allah be upon you! Shab be kheyr. Ba?adan mibinamet. Dariush

Peace be upon u all. I am a "born muslim" with a lot of questions as I grew up. With the grace of GOD, the Almighty I have found most of my questions answered. Through the research on my own, reading, surfing the net and debating with other people, I have finally excepted to follow the Quran only . With the thanks of GOD and His grace and mercy ,I have been a submitter for the past 15 years. Hope that I will enjoy my stay here Thanx. you were a submitter and now you are Quran only?

Peace Welcome Selrach; and may God Help you in your searching and understanding of His Messages. Welcome! I have so much respect for people who find Islam by studying themselves. I know the true meaning of your post (which I agree), however, I want to add the following True Islam can only be found by the Help of God and not by ourselves. Peace

Peace to everyone! My name is Khadidjatu.I have been reading here, for a long time, but never wrote anything. I am shocked and angry, over the falisfications of The Quran, and hadith, and do not understand how muslims for so many centuries, have left the religion,in the hands of "the learned ones",that have implemented their own desires in the interpretetion of Allahs message to humans. I am born in the scandinavia, and through a close girlfrriend,I converted to Islam, when I was 15 and married a saudian man, when I was 22.I lived there, for five years with him,and studied the religion, but couldnt find any resemblence, with the words and the society I lived in. I met a bunched of educated, rich womens that did not have anything to do,bored into their throut. They lived in luxury, and my husband was very drawn to this way of life.In my head, the sura that talks of the spendthrifters, the brothers of satan, was always running through my head. This was the beginning to the end for my marriage,I did not want to live my life with cervants around, sitting on a sofa,in my abaya. After five years,I left saudia. My father had to come and fetch me,since I could not leave alone, and my husband was pissed of,and did not want to follow me back home.I hate the hypocrzy and dobbel standards in many muslim countries, and will never again, live in an arabic, muslim society. I like free minds,I have found a lot of knowledgeable people here,in matters of The Quran, and love to read your discussions.Thank you all,for being an alternative. Love from Khadidjatu Peace and welcome to the forum. Nice to see so many new people in search of the truth. I am relatively new and my time here studying about Islam has some what been overwhelming, but too a degree has helped me answer loads of questions which bugged me about the religion before. I feel more at peace with Islam now. Peace Hope

Hi everyone. I have been lurking on here for a while but thought I would introduce myself so I can participate a bit. I have always been interested in religion, I was brought up as a Catholic but I couldn't make sense of the trinity and the idea of original sin so that hasn't been something I have perused in my adult life. I had looked into most religions and had got especially interested in Buddhism...I like the Buddhist philosophies but then I felt that it was missing something because I DO believe in A God. Also I believe in an afterlife where our soul is the exact soul we have now, here on earth...so Buddhism doesn't really fit in that respect. I had never really looked into Islam and I admit I was slightly prejudiced against Muslims because my only knowledge about Islam was media portrayal. Then I decide to change my degree modules to study Religion and Philosophy and needed to pick a extra module...for which I chose 'Islam in the West The politics of co-existence'. As background reading I bought several books on Islam and bought 'The Meaning of The Holy Qur'an by Abduallah Yusef Ali'. I have been entranced by Islam. Everything I believed before I found out about Islam is what Islam is! The only things that didn't make sense to me were the Hadith...it seemed that to follow the Hadiths was to take partners?...but then I found this site! bravo So I think I'll be sticking around here to learn a bit more....so, pleased to meet you all peace Peace and welcome GSmode.

ok then, What about satanists? Satanists, devil worshippers and the like are the epitome of corruption. They themselves are not a religion as such but represent deviations from their mainstream religions(meaning they were former jews, chrisitans or muslims for that matter). I am well aware of the fact they are now trying to form a religion of the corruption they are but they were never a religion in any historical sense.

Peace, Respectfully. welcome welcome to the forum, brother and may God bless you and guide you. I've noticed the same thing at the London Central Mosque messenger/prophet Muhammad;s name is always next to the name of God SWT and imams always quote hadith from "sahih" Bukhary and "sahih" Muslim first an sometimes without even talking about The Quran. I would like you to visit one webiste http//www.submission.org/muhammed/salawat.html It's a short artcile and it might shock you. May God bless you. Peace.

In the mess of motorcycle magazines ... I never found out who gave my dad that stack, he can't remember either. Dad's a Deist and for once, he was happy that I was reading material on Islam. This is an interesting story, and you do have quite a knack for story telling, might I add. ) Peace, Sarah

@ Alio Greetings of Peace and welcome welcome welcome I am new to this forum too! I have not introduced myself properly yet! OOps -X May as well do that now! I'm British, from a non-religious family background and I converted (reverted?!) to Islam in 2006 from "no religion". One day, shortly after converting, I made a "mini pilgrimage" to a Mosque in the City centre, and was shocked, angry and embarrassed that I was not "allowed" in! Because I am a woman, and there was "no room for women", because it was the Friday prayer which was giving "priority to Men", because Men "HAVE to pray in the mosque whereas women can pray at home...." Well.. I was standing outside the mosque crying, and a kind brother came up to me and wanted to help and gave me the phone number of a Sister who does Quran Study Circles and "mentors" the new converts. I went there and there were 5 women altogether. This is a Quran Study Circle with a dozen books and not a single Quran in sight! "because we mere mortals are too inferior to even dare to try to understand the Qur'an, we just keep it on the top shelf" So anyway, we were discussing why the prayer is so important and what the benefits of it are and really enthusing over the wonder and power of prayer. Then the prayer time came and 3 of them said "we are not praying today because of our monthlies" So I went away with a lot more questions and All praise to Allah s.w.t that I came across the Submission and Free-minds sites and Islamicity's Qur'an Reader Search function. I really started to get some decent information, and found out how to double check the Qur'an for myself and was then able to study it in more depth, before the Hadith people were able to totally confuse me! So thanks for listening and Greetings of Peace to everyone. May Allah be Glorified. Peace, Respectfully. welcome welcome to the forum and may The Exalted God The Most Merciful bless you and give you even more Strength and even more Patience to survive the Right Path. May The Exalted God The Most Powerful give you even more Knowledge and make you the best Muslimah. Peace.
