May I suggest that because of verse 3305, there is no concept of illegitimate child in Islamic society!! And it reflects respect and honor for the women.

So that leaves obeying the messenger, now how do you obey the messenger if obeying God is obeying the Quran?? What verses say the messengers job is to deliver the message not demonstrate the message? Obey Allah, and obey the Messenger .... I tell them, fear God. As soon as i check the verse, verify it, double check, ask The Exalted God The Most Wise for more knowledge, i will know, God willing and tell them, God willing. Peace stefan From my tentative understanding Jannah = Garden Samaa = Sky Samawat = Universe. None exactly refers to heaven as in the nice place for dead good guys. I believe the Qur'an has specific names for that meaning of heaven, such as Adn and Firdaus. Maybe we should read this theme more carefully...

Samia, what about Waqalati alyahoodu laysati alnnasara AAala shayin waqalati alnnasara laysati alyahoodu AAala shayin. 2113 I know afterwards that it says 'wa hum yatloona' but even if it said 'wa tatluyaani' this would still be correct. So I agree that in those cases you mentioned there is a confirmation of 'hum' but this still does not mean that haadhihi al-shajarat cannot refer to a specific group of individuals. There is still room for understanding this within the text, but it is up to you to decide whether or not it contradicts with anything else within in the Quran and whether or not you wish to adopt this understanding. You can technically say haadhihi-nnaasu or tilkannaasu in Old Arabic, as well a haa'ulaa and ulaa'ika. If they have a proper name you can even refer to the group as hadhaa. In the second verse we have the verb AND the suffixed pronoun as singular feminine, but this is for malaa'ika, which are not humans. Do you have an example with feminine singular demonstrative pronooun for a group of humans?

I see some symbolism in those verses. Mankind is taught the names of the forces of nature - man knows what each force does - ex. gravity attracts, magnetism can repel, etc. The forces of nature cannot do this - they only follow what is in their logical pathway, they are "programmed". That logical pathway does not include sentience, or in other words, the ability to attribute names or act out of one's own will. Mankind however, is sentient and one of the logical pathways involves or allows for observing the forces of nature, and how they work, and naming them. All knowledge originates from God, remember that (96005) 002.034 YUSUFALI And behold, We said to the angels "Bow down to Adam" and they bowed down. The forces of nature are harnessed by man - man knows their names (how they work, their mathematical functions & relationships) but desire? Not so. Another Q, when it is said "Allah and his messenger", is the wording plural? We cannot make a distinction between prophets as in 2285, so it cannot really be referring to one specific human.

If after 1400 years someone tells the people of the United States, that in this Ayah actually ?it were I? would it be not justified if they complain, ?Sir, you have taken a very long time reaching us?. If the words of Easa a.s. {Jesus Salaam and peace is upon him) were not honored by the majority of Bani Israel, despite recognizing the Messenger, how are they going to listen to Bukhari and Rashad Khalifa?
