Questions/Comments on the Quran

Greetings Mazhar, Just a bit to get the dialogue rolling.... I, too, have been considering 'perception' as of late; however, I have been thinking/learning/reading about the HEART as an organ of perception. It perceives via field pusles of electromagnetic energy -- it sends them out and also receives them from other living organisms. In fact, studies have proven that it is the heart that first senses information that is then sent directly, unmediated, on to the brain for consideration as to whether to act on that perceived information or not. In this way, we do not require the use of words at all in order to 'perceive'. I understand and full heartedly believe that the Qur'an teaches us this, how to perceive with our hearts and then how to decide on how to act on those perceptions. This is how it is a 'healing for the heart' -- and a bit of background of why 'healing the heart' is such an important concept for us as humans.

thanks explorer I pretty much agree I was thinking about and also i think it says that typically you cant marry many women but if they are impoverish or it is a worn torn place and they have fatherless children and no way to support themselves and kids you can marry up to four, because the injustice of sharing a husband is less bad than living in the bad condition with their kids.

If first presumption is taken as correct can the result be what has been told? Dear Explorer, You are interested in research. Please look into what has been said about the rocks and water in 274. Please firt translate the words of Quran in a simple manner and then find facts about rocks and water and you will appreciate and enjoy how comprehensively the entire phenomenon had been explained.

The authors of the study concluded that exposure to pornography puts viewers at increased risk of developing sexually deviant tendencies, committing sexual offences, experiencing difficulties in intimate relationships, and accepting the rape myth. Peace be upon you, Abu Lahab means Father of the Flame, it represents ANYONE who likes to fuel the emotions of mankind in opposition to the Peaceful Truth of God. The "his wife" is just like Adam and "his wife"...."his wife" just represents the female aspect of these concepts...the male side provides the seed, the female side becmes inpregnated and noursishes the ideas...its ike your thoughts(male) and the images(female) that nourish and strengthen the thoughts that moves your energies to act. It is the Yin and Yang of life. I have not understood the symbolism of the thorns yet. Salam. Is this your personal opinion? I mean, where do you have the proof? If I would have already studied it, what was the point in drawing your attention to the comma and the word repent and requesting you to enlighten us whether the conclusion would still be the same or it may somewhat change the position. Requesting for the opinion from a person who has already conducted research does not imply that one will necessarily refute it. Please let us benefit from your study on the subject.

Thanks, DArgento, I have hard copy of it. Perhaps this is the only work for which Pervez deserves appreciation, since he compiled and compacted about 4-6 earlier lexicons, minus where he entered his own interpretations, which even on face value seem funny and ridiculous.
