Questions/Comments on the Quran

Salam, My input is as follows Chapter 10 is an 'initialed' Sura. Duplicating it means you can duplicate the mathematical intricacy and balance the Sura. We can see that the challenge is also repeated in 223 (an initialed sura). These to my mind are the "Mukham/Firm" verses that the Quran tells us to follow in 37, while the rest of the Quran is 'Mutashabih' (can be misinterpreted and cause deviation for those who are not grounded in knowledge) .

Salam good logic. Certainly. I read a few commentaries on the verse (as I usually do when I seem to fail to reach a satisfactory understanding by myself) and found Muhammad Asad's take on it to be a reasonable explanation that solved my issue for now. Asad argues that the pronoun that is usually taken to refer to the concept of God having a son in 184 (ma lahum biHI min 'ILMIN) actually refers to God, so that the verse is better rendered as 'they have no knowledge of Him (God)'. Perhaps I will take issue with this interpretation as well as I reflect on it more, but for now, it satisfies me. Peace Peace.. Wanderer.. Happy to see you still wandering here... I share with you 2 explanations Muhammad Asad Lit., "in it clear messages" - such as the messages relating to God's oneness and uniqueness (symbolized by the Ka'bah), to the continuity of mankind's religious experience ("the first Temple set up for mankind&quot and, finally, to the brotherhood of all believers (who, wherever they may be, turn their faces in prayer towards this one focal point). Mazhar Pointers of explicit nature are embedded within it (the House) which is exclusive peculiarity of it. => ?? Sorry but i don't understand this sentence.

I need someone to explain to me what this means "Indicate him with some of it (the murder)". What does it mean? How do you indicate someone with a part of a murder? Did you read the original post? It can be taken as "cite/indicate or point out him with some of it (the murder)" or "assign him with some of it (the murder)" Both work. When a group of people are guilty of killing another person they take collective responsibility, i.e. each one of the guilty is assigned a part of the blame/crime. They were blaming each other in order to obfuscate what they did. They were pointing the finger at each other, so to speak, "X did it" "Y did it" "Z did it" even though they all played a part, so the verse instructs "cite/indicate (or point out) him with some of it (the murder)", which exposed them and left them with no choice but for each to take some of the blame.

I just watched it. It is good IF one is approaching this from a Traditional Islamic perspective. Her citing various tafsirs to backup her claims was interesting. However in terms of Quranic analysis it was poor. Her translation choice for "iDRiBoo-hunna" in 434 was very poor.

Two knowledge plans (which are not comparable because they are not on the same level of experimentation) should not be mix Scientific knowledge based on scientific theories. Theory is the starting point. Knowledge through the physical senses, which comes from the experience of men, from their own experiences and perspectives. It comes from the point of view of the human perspective in its concrete, pragmatic and utilitarian aspect. The perception of the senses and his concrete reality is the starting point. The Quran, having been revealed in the 7th century in Arabia for Arabs FIRST in this period, it places itself on the second level of knowledge because this knowledge is in itself a source of universal guidance for men who can experience it, in their daily experience (We must to keep in mind the finality of a text). This knowledge through the physical senses are all doors to adhere in a God-creator, good, all powerful, generous and useful to men. Once again, the Quran is first of all a Holy scripture of GUIDANCE which, prey to doubts of those who listen to it, tries to convince its detractors. --- A clear example the mountains. --- Human pragmatic knowledge The mountains are seen (from the point of view of men from the 7th century with an imaginary borrow from pastoralism and nomadism) like stakes planted in the ground in order to stabilize it, always with a view to a beneficial benefit to men from God 78-7 And the mountains as pegs? Salam! Arabic scholars say that everything of great importance has numerous names/words for it in Arabic. I wonder why the word/name for sword is not present in AQ while it is said that there are almost 300 words for sword/types of swords in Arabic. Peace! وَإِذَا كُنتَ فِيـهِـمْ فَأَقَمْتَ لَـهُـمُ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ Take note; If you the Messenger happened to be amongst them; whereby upon reaching scheduled time you have established Ass-sa'laat Time Bound Protocol of Servitude and allegiance for them فَلْتَقُمْ طَـآئِفَةٚ مِّنْـهُـم مَّعَكَ وَلْيَأْخُذُوٓا۟ أَسْلِحَتَـهُـمْ Thereat, for security reasons in war conditions a group of them should stand along with you; and they should retain and carry along their weapons; فَإِذَا سَجَدُوا۟ فَلْيَكُونُوا۟ مِن وَرَآئِكُـمْ وَلْتَأْتِ طَـآئِفَةٌ أُخْـرَىٰ لَمْ يُصَلُّوا۟ فَلْيُصَلُّوا۟ مَعَكَ Subsequent to they having prostrated; the first group should move away on behind and the other group which had not participated in Ass-sa'laat should join Ass-sa'laat with you. وَلْيَأْخُذُوا۟ حِذْرَهُـمْ وَأَسْلِحَتَـهُـمْۗ And they should retain their protections-armor and their weapons. وَدَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَـرُوا۟ لَوْ تَغْفُلُونَ عَنْ أَسْلِحَتِكُـمْ وَأَمْتِعَتِكُـمْ فَيَـمِيلُونَ عَلَيْكُـم مَّيْلَةٙ وَٟحِدَةٙۚ This advice for retaining armor and weapons is for reason that the Disavowers-Non believers wished that somehow you people might become careless of your weapons and other wherewithal whereby they might assault you; a single sudden assault. وَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْكُـمْ إِن كَانَ بِكُـمْ أَذٙى مِّن مَّطَرٛ أَوْ كُنتُـم مَّرْضَىٰٓ أَن تَضَعُوٓا۟ أَسْلِحَتَكُـمْۚ However, nothing is objectionable for you if you put off your weapons for reason of discomfort because of rain or you being sick — وَخُذُوا۟ حِذْرَكُمْۗ But retain your protections-armor. إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ أَعَدَّ لِلْـكَـٟفِرِينَ عَذَابٙا مُّهِينٙا .4102١٠٢ Remain aware; Allah the Exalted has prepared for persistently denying people a humbling chastisement, one of humiliation.

I've been advised that if a thread I wrote on a topic no longer represents the beliefs I have on the topic now, that I can write a post even if the thread is older because we can't delete or modify posts. So this post is about that my beliefs on the topic of the shahadah in the Quran has changed and the original post on this thread does not represent my beliefs on this topic of the second shahadah as commonly known. I think the second shahadah, as often referred to, actually makes sense considering the Quran as the final revelation from Allah swt. Other posts here, or on other threads, may also not represent my beliefs now, but I didn't have the time to go through each page and check the context of the discussion. I would simply say I follow Islam and the Quran, but not a Quran-only approach. I'm writing this only for reference, not really for discussion as I don't intend to log into this forum much at all and don't have the time for discussions either. I'm writing this post in case anyone does come across this thread by searching the forum and I don't want this thread to be misleading for anyone.

Lane's was just one example, I often check up to 10 or more different dictionaries, sometimes in different languages as well, and also research different interpretations when trying to understand a particular passage, subject or word.
