The first sentence of Ayatul Kursi (2255) Clearly says that - Allahu (Allah) La (not) Ilaha (god) Illa (but) hua (he is) hyul (ever living) qaium (existance). Yet why we translate the kalema tayaba as - La (there is no) Ilaha (god) Illa (except) Allah (Allah)?! - contradicting 2255 I think it should be as - La (no) Ilaha (god) Illa (but) Allah (Allah). - Its not contradicting 2255 You are translating as if you are translating two Germanic languages. Here the case is different. Source language is Semitic which has different form of sentence structures and is a pro-drop language. Further it has no copula. The states of nouns reflect their role/function and relationships with other words, like subject and predicate, subject and object of verb. Since the source language Arabic is Semitic while target Language English is Germanic, the Metaphrase involving "word by word" and "line by line" translation would in fact be no translation because intent of the text will not be clearly perceivable. http//haqeeqat.pk/TranslationTheories.htm

The Qur'an never says that Maryam when she gave birth was a virgin. It is never said. If God gave any importance to that and that we should believe it He would have stated it. Far from that He says that He follows the same model as with everything else He creates, that is, He says "Be" an it is. God does nto say a word about Maryam being or not being virgin. God does not want anybody to pry into the intimay of anybody. All those needs of Maryam being officially a virgin when she gave birth, are whims of people and conjecture and taken from some oriental religion, has nothing to do with adam, nor there is any teaching in making it appear that anybody is born of a virgin. Mathal ar given in order to teach something. Neither is Maryam said to be a virgin after the conception of her son, neither is virginity of a mother any teaching for anybody. It is obnoxious the insistence on the physicology of Maryam at the same time that she is denied with arrogance her spiritual value. Can we leave out the virginity or not of Maryam? It is the myth of some oriental religion, not any value or any assertion of the Qur'an, even it is such a liked toy by the hadithers and it seems also by the seld called quranists. Also what is again the matha Salaam One should not associate one's own opinions towards Allah the Exalted. Conception and virginity are two different things. The word "virgin" relates to an organ of the body. http//haqeeqat.pk/English%20Tafsir%20e%20Haqeeqat/00.Arabic%20Text/066.%20At%20Tahrim/66.12a.gif And of Maryam, daughter of Imr'aan, who guarded her pudendum- chastity; thus remained virgin in life; This sentence is repeated twice. Since this characteristic feature of her is mentioned in Qur?n, it relates to her entire life till natural death. In biological creation the body organ of a woman that is involved is the external sex organ, in Arabic , from Root . Basic perception infolded in it was described by Ibn Faris in these words "that it leads to the perception of an opening; or intervening space- gap between two things; cleavage, rift, hole; and blooming in a thing." This word is applied to the pudenda of woman as well of a man. My respects and salutations to her with lowered chin. A woman is described and referred by humans throughout their history as daughter of someone so long she is unmarried; on marriage she is referred as wife of her husband, if remains virgin she continues to be referred by her father's name; she is referred by her biological brother's name; and is finally referred as the mother of so and so. Syeda Maryam is referred in Qur?n as daughter of http//haqeeqat.pk/English%20Tafsir%20e%20Haqeeqat/00.Tabweeb%20Part%202/001.%20Roots%20originating%20in%20Surat%20002/2.096/328.%20Yoummar%20Ain%20Meem%20Ra%20age/6.gif ; sister of http//haqeeqat.pk/English%20Tafsir%20e%20Haqeeqat/00.Tabweeb%20Part%202/001.%20Roots%20originating%20in%20Surat%20002/2.248/529.%20Haroon%20alahisalam/1.gifand the Mother of Easa alai'his'slaam. She was Virgin throughout her life whereby she could not be associated or referred by the word Wife. Please first read the entire information on the subject then arrive at conclusions. At least go through the link and try rebutting it. http//haqeeqat.pk/Virgin%20Birth.htm

First Frame of this Sura/Chapter containing Ayahs 1-8 is an example of superb use of literary technique termed Juxtaposition in which two or more ideas, places, characters, phenomena, and their actions are placed side by side in a narrative, for the purpose of developing comparisons and contrasts. It is employed in order to surprise the readers and evoke their interest, by means of developing a comparison between two dissimilar things by placing them side by side. The comparison drawn adds vividness to a given image, controls the pacing of the narrative. Ayah 1-3 of Frame begins with gradable proximity of a figure - the Appointed Moment . She is the Subject of preceding feminine perfect Form-VIII verb, stemming from Root . This Subject is a figure that is closely guarded and we do not have any specific information frame by which we could image its location in timeline. The verb is result verb which also describe events that take time but these events have an inherent temporal endpoint the time when the result state comes about. The duration of the event up to the endpoint is taken up by the process that leads up to this result state, though it is left unspecified by the verb; it is this process that a means/manner verb names. Such events are known as ACCOMPLISHMENTS. he second sentence of the Ayah, like the first, is declarative and cautionary in intent, as if the proximity of preceding fact is being compared to a ground reality. The verbal sentence comprises of third person masculine perfect verb, Form-VII http//haqeeqat.pk/English%20Tafsir%20e%20Haqeeqat/00.Tabweeb%20Part%202/001.%20Roots%20originating%20in%20Surat%20002/2.074/2.%20Shaqaq%20Sheen%20Qaaf%20Qaaf/15.gif followed by its Subject the Moon. Form-VII is always intransitive. It has self reflexive meaning and has effective connotation, a state produced in the subject. The verb stems from Root that leads to the perception of rift, cleave, fissure, chasm, breakdown happening in a thing. Thus, the sentence gives an impression that the Moon has become in the state signified by the Root. The information reveals that the Moon was originally not in this state and it is a later phenomenon. The information contained in the sentence has now visually been shown to us (as promised 4153) and is perceptible for us after the invention of telescope and Hubble by seeing the surface of Moon having become cratered. In the following Ayahs the attitude and response of non-believers is mentioned who are adamant and keep purposely following myths and conjectures. They refrain paying attention and reflecting on purpose of such type of cautioning information and without having given a thought contradict it as illusory falsity, thus subtly attributing to the Narrator of information about the state of Moon is just his illusory vision and that it is false. It is, thereby, clarified in the concluding remarks on this subject that http//haqeeqat.pk/English%20Tafsir%20e%20Haqeeqat/00.Arabic%20Text/054.%20Al%20Qamar/Temp%2001%2054.03.gif Take note, every affair-matter is unshakable and dormant for an earmarked-appointed moment-location (when it will become active). ............ The irrational response of the non-believers to the information and implicit warning is not necessarily because of lack of understanding it in the absence of experience and cognitive frames. It is not because of Plato's problem. "Plato's problem is the term given by Noam Chomsky to the gap between knowledge and experience. It presents the question of how we account for our knowledge when environmental conditions seem to be an insufficient source of information. It is used in linguistics to refer to the "argument from poverty of the stimulus" . In a more general sense, Plato's Problem refers to the problem of explaining a "lack of input". Solving Plato's Problem involves explaining the gap between what one knows and the apparent lack of substantive input from experience (the environment." It is immediately clarified by mentioning that concrete historical instances have already been quoted to them but such explicit warnings are also of no avail to them, whereby, it is evident that problem with them is not of understanding. Thereby, no further effort is needed to persuade them to become alive to inevitable upshot. For complete article along with morphological and syntactic analysis read here on website http//haqeeqat.pk/English%20Tafsir%20e%20Haqeeqat/00.%20Individual%20Ayaat/054/054/054.1-8.htm

27.80-81 Truly thou canst not cause the dead to listen, nor canst thou cause the deaf to hear the call, (especially) when they turn back in retreat. 80. Nor canst thou be a guide to the blind, (to prevent them) from straying only those wilt thou get to listen who believe in Our Signs, and they will bow in Islam. 81. Salaam

As I see it, an ayya, if we want to benefit from it, forces us to thought, to search, to go deeper. It is not like an order or a worded message. Those we just have to obey, with an ayya we have to think and explore, at least with many of them, as to what or why we should think or how and why we should behave. Salaam

Dear All, Every Ayah (Verse /Sign/other meanings) mentioned in the entire Quran has a value to reflect for those who reflect and it is a Mercy from God.. 3190 ???. .. there are SIGNS for men POSSESSED OF MINDS? .. 133 ? ??. ? Surely in that are SIGNS for people who REFLECT.? So Signs are meant to be given Thought / reflect on it? Based on that lets discuss the below.. 349-50 49 ?To be a Messenger to the Children of Israel saying, "I have come to you WITH A SIGN from your Lord. I will create for you out of clay as the likeness of a bird; then I will breathe into it, and it will be a bird, by the leave of God. I will also heal the blind and the leper, and bring to life the dead, by the leave of God. I will inform you too of what things you eat, and what you treasure up in your houses. Surely in that is a sign for you, if you are believers.? 50. Likewise confirming the truth of the Torah that is before me, and to make lawful to you certain things that before were forbidden unto you. I have come to you WITH A SIGN from your Lord; so fear you God, and obey you me? In the above two verses Isa the Son of Maryam didn?t say that I AM A SIGN but He said ?I have come WITH a Sign? He performed many a signs as per above verses but He said I came with ?A? sign.. God Made Isa a SIGN for the people.. but as we are people we have to REFLECT how Isa a SIGN.. Do we consider Isa above all other Prophets and be satisfied that he was a SIGN or Do we have to reflect the factors how he can be a sign which is unusual from others? Isa didn?t said to the people that I am a sign.. that?s meaningless for Isa to say Himself.. But for God, to say Isa is a Sign for People 1921 or Isa & Maryam a Sign (2191) has strong meaning.. Coz God talks of His OWN Signs as of any other His signs.. Once example is Isa?s Birth? it is a sign to reflect how it is possible away from the regular Sunna/way of God? And to reflect how God went away from His regular Sunnah by letting Isa to make the Dead Alive again? it?s not the regular Sunnah of God? but He let Isa to do.. We all know once people die they wont come to this world again. It?s extremely against God?s Sunna ? Why Isa let the dead return from ? just Isa wanted to give the spectators a bit of fun or to make them feel that Isa was something extraordinary from normal human.. No? No.. he was a man as of any human.. He himself accept it in quran verse..Then What was the purpose God gave Isa to perform the dead to return..God doesn?t want to come to this world and perform the same thing what Isa did and confirm that there is God.. or God doesn?t want to make the dead alive without letting know who actually did it.. Then further confusion.. but God let Isa to perform it to show to that community (as a mercy) and to whoever reads the quran that there is nothing God can?t perform? So here actually Isa as a person Sign or What he did with the will of God is a Sign or for that matter How Isa was born important or who was behind it for such a miraculous birth is important?Sign is birth or the one behind it? God wants us to highlight Isa or God wants us to think His power through what Prophet Isa did? 1921 He said, "Thus ; your Lord says, 'It is easy for Me, and We will make him (Isa) a Sign to the people (Naas) and a mercy from Us. And it is a matter decreed. As per my understanding the above verse strictly apt for the children of Isreal (specially those witnessed Isa) coz Sign FOR the People and A MERCY involved? ?He was a sign for his community and it was mercy coz sending Isa to that community for them to witness all those miraculous signs which no other has witnessed is extreme Mercy bestowed on that community by God.. If we just take the verse 2191 .. As if both Isa & Maryam were Sign as physical body as persons.. and not what actually happened with them then it is blind conviction to the love of those two denigrating the Power of GOD.. Nothing (Person/s or Object/s or Event/s etc ) cannot call it/them selves as Sign.. But God can call them coz they are His Sign/s who created the signs.. These are the reason we have to REFLECT with verses which speak of SIGNs (not the verses but actual SIGNS).. In the matter of Virginity .. Yes.. if one is conceived she loses her virginity.. that?s a well known truth.. That?s regular sunnah of God.. But important thing is how one can get conceived is through sexual relation and by inserting manually, etc.. whatever it is, it is by the help of male?s sperm.. In the case of Maryam both options are not acceptable.. That?s why God went away from His regular Sunna and it is only possible by God? and not with any human?Showing something a man or jin cannot do is a SIGN from God, for sure? Whatever the signs Isa brought were away from regular sunna.. or for that matter what Moses did..That?s why God keep repeating even after Isa was born ?The one who guarded her Chastity? Ah.. about blowing the spirit.. Only two times mentioned in quran (I didn?t verify) doesn?t mean that God would have done it only two times.. God doesn?t mention everything He does.. Don?t forget He has created Jibreal Michael and and all other Jins and creatures no men or jin touched and many of animals etc.. How He created no one knows? And as per you if it is two times then there is another occasion ? And it is more worthy coz it could be first ever time? Isn?t that a sign then? What is the use of talking about my Virginity.. who will benefit or people are jobless to read about my story of virginity? am I a Hollywood celebrity? ? God guide and bless us..

Mr. Dec.. 3169 And never think of those who have been killed in the cause / way (sabeel) of Allah as dead. Rather, they are alive with their Lord, receiving provision, 3170 Rejoicing in what Allah has bestowed upon them of His bounty, and they receive good tidings about those after them who have not yet joined them - that there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve. One can go in many modes in the cause/way/path (sabeel) of God? by being good, by obeying God, by being generous etc etc.. But in this particular verse God refers to those who were fought against disbelievers and lost their life ?. That?s not just their own thing, but it was an appeal from God through His messengers to the believers in general to fight against those whom God wanted to punish by their own hand and not by way of destruction from God?s end(ex. Cyclone). That?s why I prefer the (Sabeel) to be taken as Way and not as Sake.. I don?t say wrong at all? Further I don?t personally see anything wrong in translating the one who got killed in a war from an opponent as killed or even martyred.. Interestingly why God mentioned in quran NOT to call them as killed / martyred.. So they cannot be called as Dead as well.. Unless there is a reason God won?t say so.. God talks few THINGS.. They are ALIVE, PROVISIONED and in 3170 REJOICING, BOUNTY, RECEIVE GOOD TIDINGS of those who yet to join and NO GRIEVANCE.. All the above are concerns for me of a place where a human can live with a body and soul enjoying without grievances and having the knowledge of those whom they left with in the life before.. This place only could be Janna? Other point is God says All Nafs are to taste the Death? so no one is exempted including these..God says after the death of a person there will be a barzak (barrier) between them in this world.. so no way of coming back to where we lived before our death? Further God says in common in a verse on the day of resurrection ?They will say who let us wake up from our sleep? or something similar to it.. in another verse God says people will talk they would say to each other ?How long we tarried on the earth?.. in another verse God says ?Enter the janna? this was said by angels who took the life a believing man when he was most probably killed by others..Chapter 3626 It was said, "Enter Paradise(janna)." He said, "I wish my people could know? whatever explanation of it.. In view of the above, I personally assume according to quran that People who developed their soul to a high level with strong belief (such as prophets, Siddiqun, Martyrs etc are not put to sleep after their death but they are living in jannah without grievances..probably going from this world to another without being hardly noticing the death could be equaled to Dead or could be called killed.. may be that?s why..God knows well) But on the day of resurrection life in the janna will also be terminated and be resurrected as of those who are sleeping(deniers+submitters) after their death to judge everyone according to their deeds) This is a very critical and much broad subject? further comparisons from quran would reveal positive and negative to my comments.. God bless us

These are big subjects.. Haj is no more.. Yes it was during 4 months well known from Ibrahim to Mohamed and in well known place the same place from Ibrahim to Mohamed .. And it was from Ibrahim to Mohamed practiced mainly to spread the message for wider community rather than confine with the people of the prophets... Now no more prophets and no more haj and all you want is with Quran as message for guidance.. No need to go and get guidance to a certain place where no one is there to preach with a message... Hope you will get it one day if God will....

Grammar is intrinsic and inalienable element of any spoken language. Rules of grammar are formulated for non-natives and for the purpose of converting speech into writing. Grammar exists before writing a book. Qur'aan was authored keeping in view the grammar of Arabic language. Otherwise it would not have been comprehensible even by Arabs.

Actually to my question which is the reason of this thread, whether Lut is nephew or son of Ibrahim or even of anybody else does not matter, because as I explained later I was only concerned about the family ho was ith him when the rusul came to his city to save him and his family. So please, I ould ask again whether anybody has any opinion or vie or idea who might his family then be. We have mention of his daughters, whether blood daughters or spiritual daughters. As to Lut's ties with Ibrahim, is it talking about the same house here 'Our Lord, I have made some of my seed to dwell in a valley where is no sown land by Thy Holy House; Our Lord, let them perform the prayer, and make hearts of men yearn towards them, and provide them with fruits; haply they will be thankful.' and here 2.125 Remember We made the House a place of assembly for men and a place of safety; and take ye the station of Abraham as a place of prayer; and We covenanted with Abraham and Isma'il, that they should sanctify My House for those who compass it round, or use it as a retreat, or bow, or prostrate themselves (therein in prayer). (125) Please any ideas about Lut's family when the city was destroyed? Salaam

I agree brother hawk, what is more important is the lesson that we should learn from the stories in Qoran. Also, unless we had "videos" of past generations preserved for us, we will continue to argue/discuss/...the details of what really happened, especially if GOD has His reasons for choosing words that require a lot of ponder/study/research. GOD has also chosen straight and allegorical stories for us to unravel. I see the following(20114) the best indicator to us to be patient and keep up our study Indeed ,may the Lord grant us more knowledge. GOD bless you. Peace.

OK, may be Pharaoh was not everyone s favourite but he was someone s favourite whether we like it or not! To be honest I do not know much about him. It should be Them, as there are many Pharaohs.. Apparently yes, somebody in this forum has attached herself to Pharaohs.. The title Pharaoh itself is gender less... Cleopatra (female) and Hatshepsut (female) was a Pharaoh.. Specifically for Cleopatra she also clearly shows the symptom of Narcism and Psychopathy..
