The concept of Qasas in Quran is that if some one gets hurt from your actions, then an equivalent compensation commensurate with the hurt caused, should be paid to him by you. An equivalency/relationship between the hurt caused and its appropriate equivalent compensation needs to be established keeping in view the circumstances. In some societies general guidelines exists, for example, in an accident a person loses his leg, what amount should be paid to him as compensation. The hurts can be physical or psychological, but the same rule apply. Qasas is absolutely not that if someone hurts your eye, then you should hurt his eye too. If someone commits any bad or cruel act, he will have an equivalent misfortune befallen on him either the Law of the land punishing the person or some other physical or psychological misfortune inflicted on him by divine intervention. The believer who has been wronged by someone, need not take his revenge from the oppressor. He has to take help from this knowledge that the oppressor will get full compensation of his oppression as ordained in the Book. If the believer takes his own revenge then again a similar misfortune will befall on the believer himself as per divine law. For example if someone injures your ear wrongly, then as per divine law a misfortune proportionate to the injuring of your ear, will befall on the person doing it. Either he will get punishment from Law or an equivalent misfortune physical or psychological will befall on him. However, if you take a revenge by injuring his ear as well, then similar misfortune of injuring an ear will befall on you as well. The believers help heal their psychological wounds with this knowledge if they have been wronged or oppressed. They don?t have to burn in the fire of revenge and hatred as this matter to be left to Allah to take care of. The best course of action is to forgive and let this matter for divine justice. 545 And we wrote on them in it (Taurat) ?Nafs for Nafs, eye for eye, nose or nose, ear for ear, tooth for tooth, and wounds are related.? Thus the one who pays with it, it is an atonement for himself. And if any fail to judge/govern with what Allah has revealed, they are Zalmin/Wrong-doers. When Al-Kitab mentions An Eye for an Eye it does not mean you have to take out an eye in compensation of your damaged eye. It means that if you damage some one?s eye, you must pay an equivalent compensation for that wrong doing or otherwise an equivalent form of punishment will befall on you. Ayat 545 is sometimes misunderstood in terms of compensation and people think that it means an eye is the compensation of an eye. However if you study Ayat 545 and 2178 together; in the same Arabic syntax in which Ayat 545 says an eye for an eye, Ayat 2178 says a woman for a woman, a slave for a slave. It is evident that if you kill some one?s woman, you will be punished for that crime, not your woman. 2178 O you who believe! the Qasas is written on you in murder. the free for the free, the slave for the slave, the woman for the woman. But if any remission is made by the brother of the slain, then grant any reasonable demand, and compensate him with handsome gratitude, this is a concession and a Mercy from your Lord. After this whoever exceeds the limits shall be in grave penalty. 2179 In Qasas there is Life to you, o ye men of understanding; that ye may restrain yourselves. Ayat 2178 says that Qasas is written on you which means Qasas is mandatory on believers. (Same syntax as fasting is written/mandatory on you in Ayat 2183). However, Quran mentions Qasas is for life not for death in Ayat 2179. It means that Capital punishment is not allowed. Ayat 17150 states that the Wali of the victim should not transgress in killing as he is the helped one ( i.e he will get compensation and help from Allah as well). 1733 Nor take life ? which Allah has made sacred ? except for just cause. And if anyone is slain wrongfully, we have given his heir authority; let him nor exceed bounds in the matter of taking life; for he is helped one. 4239 And those who, when a wrong reaches them, they help themselves The believers help themselves when they are wronged from the knowledge of the fact that the oppressor who have oppressed them will meet similar fate (by Allah) i.e fully recompensed by Allah for their wrongful acts. 4240 The recompense for a wrong doing is a similar wrong doing (which will be inflicted by Allah). but if a person forgives and makes correction, his reward is due from Allah. for (Allah) does not love those who do wrong. The point here is that the recompense of the wrong will be inflicted by Allah, therefore taking revenge is not allowed, and the person who forgives with this knowledge, will be compensated by Allah. 4241 But indeed if any do help themselves after a wrong (done) to them, against such there is no way. If the believer retaliate to an oppressor with a similar wrongdoing, then he will be in the same boat, therefore the believers must help themselves with the knowledge that this is not their way of doing things. 4242 This way is for those who oppress people and do wrong-doings in the Earth without right, for such there will be a grievous penalty. 4243 and the one who shows patience and forgive, that would truly be from the great affairs 4134 Nor is goodness and Evil equal. Repel (Evil) with what is better. Then will he between whom and thee was hatred become as it were your friend and intimate! Again it is said that that goodness and badness are not equal. The order for the believers is to respond to badness and hurts with something much better. They have to respond the wrongdoing on them with a good response and the result will be end of hatred among former enemies. Notes 2693 ??Besides Allah? Can they help you or help themselves?? The Arabic word Antasar means ?to help one self? as evident in above Ayat. This is to illustrate that this word has been translated by all translators as to ?help one self? in this Ayat, however, on other occasions in Quran, some of the translators have translated this word as revenge, which is not be the case. 16126 If ye punish, then punish with the like of that wherewith ye were afflicted. But if ye endure patiently, verily it is better for the patient ones. If the scope of oppression falls under criminal code, then society and law of the land will follow the criminals. The punishments for any crime should be proportionate to the crime as prevalent in most judicial systems in the world. The oppressed ones should be patient as worldly judicial system takes their time in execution. Also, if the judicial system in the world fail to impart appropriate punishment to the criminals, there is no way that they will escape their due punishment from Allah. https//topicsfromquran.com/2017/06/04/qasas/

Peace Pavlov. You described the problem in humans that GOD highlights in Qoran. We are always looking for a "human friend who can mirror our understanding...".,We are looking for "support and a "sect" to belong to of "we have the truth". I believe Qoran advises to concentrate on "our own neck". If we believe/accept Qoran, then we should try our best to trust the Author of Qoran to guide us, only rely on Him Alone and do our best to follow "the best path" of Qoran in conduct and deeds to better ourselves. It is never about following a religion of humans ,it is GOD s religion of "Sirat Al Mustaqueem"- A straight path of GOD Alone and an individual relationship with GOD without idol worship of any kind. We are different and diverse in upbringing and traditions, impossible for any two humans to have a same understanding of everything. May the Lord unite and guide all the believers. GOD bless you. Peace.

Salam, Ayat 105 makes it clear that the calendar (year) should be Lunar. Let?s try to find out whether 105 really shows that the year should be Lunar by supposing that a camel herder started to live in the desert long ago and now would like to know the number of the years - - he lived in there. One thing he is sure about is this One of the full moons, which appears right after the longest day-time of the year, looks bigger and brighter than the others. He calls it the scorching full moon because it gives the news that scorching days of summer are coming. Each time he saw it appear, he made a knotch in his walking stick and now the total number of the knotches is 33. Is that 33 the number of the Lunar years or the Solar years? Following is the dates* when he witnessed the scorching full moon. The bedouin does not know the dates though, only WE do July 05, 2001 Jun 25, 2002 --- 1 July 13, 2003 July 02, 2004 Jun 22, 2005 --- 2 July 11, 2006 Jun 30, 2007 --- 3 July 18, 2008 July 07, 2009 Jun 26, 2010 --- 4 July 15, 2011 July 03, 2012 Jun 23, 2013 --- 5 July 12, 2014 July 02, 2015 --- 6 July 20, 2016 July 09, 2017 --- 7 July 28, 2018 July 17, 2019 July 05, 2020 Jun 25, 2021 --- 8 July 13, 2022 July 02, 2023 Jun 22, 2024 --- 9 July 11, 2025 Jun 30, 2026 ---10 July 18, 2027 July 07, 2028 Jun 26, 2029 ---11 July 15, 2030 July 03, 2031 Jun 23, 2032 ---12 July 12, 2033 When the full moon comes 19 days LATER than the previous year we know that the previous series of the full moons had 13 full moons, and the 13th full moon caused the delay. It might work. difference between sex and food 1 if you dnt have food u cant survive. but if u dnt have sex u can survive. 2 food = timely process usually three times a day ur stomach gives u alarm. sex= timely process depend on sexual drive of individual can b vary from one time a day to 5 times lol and ur sexual organ gives u alarm on its due time 3 once u have ur meal of food u ll not b hungry untill next meal. once u have ur sexual activity done it can vary from 10 minutes to one day 4 both are installed in human so human do it since the dawn of humankind NOTE sex performs not only as pleasure but also for the purpose of giving birth but we tend to use it for pleasure more often. now coming to the op when somebody is not aware about something he/she cant calculate the value of it they can only think about it as this thing is the package installed in human nature. so once a person started relationship and after breakup you miss that hunger but that bring lot of other things related with self like emotions and feelings so most of the times its resulted a human being in sadness and most difficult thing is to abstrain the feelings you got three ways as brother cerberus told us but as he dnt know how does it sound like thats t abstaining from it is easy for him and all the people who are not go through this thing on the other hand this option didnt work on the people who already go through sex/marriage the option of masturbution also not applied becoz it can only release their lust/desire for time being they got two option now either find somebody for marriage(which seems hard now a days) or go for second option include everything in black and white this catagory called "right hand possess" sub units of second catagory are as follows prositution nikka mutta nikka misyar bf/gf sex slaves( male & female) servants ( modern slaves) co workers/school mates/ frds also can make arragements in the field of artifical world now u have toys and dolls too human being is still working on it to make it advance a recent example is invention of condoms shows human being want to do it just for pleasure lol some funny facts of a cause what bring human being into this world rotfl

Thank yu good logic. To some extent, yes, it may be that what I am getting at. But I think I am going further. Why ar ewe so negative about sex, why do we have ingrained a certain christian masochist morals based on guilt an not on thankfulness and joy gor God's gift. Is it all tht we see in sex problems, filth, division, like in between good women and bad women, or any other division. Why aren't we grateful. As I said either in this thread or another, God could have made us reproduce through spores, but He gave us sex and abandonment. Is it because we insist on being the owners of it that we are not grateful and see it as a burden rather than as a blessed opportunity. Funilly, for other things I am working on, I have consulted a Qur'an translation into Spanish of the Qur'an published from a copy of 1606. If we look at a passage of aya 24.33 which nowadays all translations translate as And do not force your slave girls into prostitution..." and which has come up these days in the forum, also modern Spanish tanslations say the same. But this older Spanish translation of the Qur'an not yet touched by "Western" modernity, does not say that, it says And do not force your female slaves to zina in order for them to become pregnant if they want yo keep chaste in the life of this world... Obviously, muslims, from the time of the revelation of the Qur'an, good or bad muslims, have kept understanding its ayas differently according to their interests and appetites, or their more decent aspirations in the best cases. But we see how from that time to now how formidably we have progressed. In 1.606, we stuck to zina, now zina is not enough, we are modern, civilised people and we want prostitution. Just to show how far we can get from the blessing of the Qur'an, in the 16th century peopel still thought that pregnant women were good, now we do not even want that, slaves, yes, but unknown to us, anonymous, where the result of our deeds does not burden us. How true that french proverb which says love is like a Spanish inn, you eat there what you bring with yourself. We do not get out of sex but things we ourselves despise because we do not aknowledge what God's gift to us is. We are not even slightly aware that it is a gift and a redeeming means. Because we ourselves do not conceive such a thing. Enough Salaam

Usually, people do not get forced to sex at gun point. So to start with, sex is not a toy, it is a deep, too deep it seems, GIFT FROM GOD, for us to go beyond ourselves, not a toy. If we think sex is merely fun, you will have most people going for it, specially in an environment in which having fun, or success with women or boys is a must. People absorb what they have around, if we do not change our concept of sex, turn it into something deep and precious, a gift from God and not a toy, which it obviously is not, nothing will go as you order it to go. Sex when not revered as the divine gift it is will never be ruled by us. Shaytan will rule over us through it. Sex is not entertainment, no matter how much men resort to prostitution. So it is not a question of witnesses, oaths and solemnities and details of that kind while we carry on with the same mentality which divorces the person from anything deep of which she or he is not the master, because the master continues to be God. But particularly in sex, men, particularly males, tend to god themselves, create their own universe where everything is arranged for them to have great toys and then force the rest to fall into place, but never, never, let the toys come into question. Women can be like that too, but harder because for them, sex comes with a price, but with the advances in certain areas of reproduction and seen that the society, male shaped society, will not change for the better on that count, so better to join them than just be their toys. That is what we have and there is no way that turning it into anything academic and technical, very malewise, is going to change that, that have some more little toys to toy with. It is a question of life and afterlife, of depth and finality. Sex can redeem when taken as God gave it to us as a great gift to fall into His Mercy, if not, it is our undoing, the undoing of the individuals and the undoing of the societies. It is the beginning of every life and, if not duly respected, it is also the death of every soul. Can you imagine, people dedicated to turn gold into shit? How can be that birds and other animals can know so much about it and we can carry on being clowns impersonating knowledgeable persons, scientists, scholars or whatever. Whom are we cheating that is more important to us than ourselves? 'Isa ibnu Maryam, made as birds the figurines of mud... He would have a hard time today and almost at any time in history to find anybody who would like to leave the mud and become birds, flying beyond with pure hearts, minds and bodies at God's mercy... No wonder according to Christian imaginary that he was crucified. Nobody wants what he had to offer. Nobody liked it when it is supposed to have happenned and nobody likes it now. ?Toys, toys, toys! Salaam

Well put and well quoted ayas. Some people think that in order to inerppret the Qur'an one should divest oneself of intelligence, common sense resoning and judgement, as if meanings camefrom pressing a button and were automatical. But in fact a name given to itself by the Qur'an is al furqaan and that means something. Salaam REviewing this post again I see that I made a mistake in the quotation. It should have been this by TellmetheTruth Secondly, what does word means in below Ayat when related to Ismael Or were you witnesses when death approached Jacob, when he said to his sons, "What will you worship after me?" They said, "We will worship your God and the God of your fathers, Abraham and Ishmael and Isaac - one God. And we are Muslims to Him." What does the word means in below Ayat And strive for Allah with the striving due to Him. He has chosen you and has not placed upon you in the religion any difficulty. the religion of your father, Abraham. Allah named you "Muslims" before and in this that the Messenger may be a witness over you and you may be witnesses over the people. So establish prayer and give zakah and hold fast to Allah. He is your protector; and excellent is the protector, and excellent is the helper. Salaam

I read the original post but it didn't make sense. Next time, in such a situation, simply provide the word for word Arabic along with the alleged translation (easy to do these days using http//corpus.quran.com/), showing clearly what words are being translated as what, and obviously if one is alleging a significant change, then justify the change with evidence.

Yes indeed gods will be ruined if they were within the heavens and earth, they should be outside the Earth and heavens. gods = if God = 1 and only human is unable to find the nearest edges of our own designed maps of space till now everysingle time they discover something new and its still expanding although we cant compare anything with one true God. for him we can only understand by parable and metaphors so, for him all that we can see and think is like a expanding balloon in a small box with other multiple universes so God giving u an idea what a human being can percieve its illogical to think the limit of God presence outside or inside the universe/universes then ponder on next part he is far above what a human mind can think Blessing in the name of God

Read the previous messages. The verb does not mean that. Adn of course, women are not part of inheritance. That is not admitted by Qur'an because the idea never crops up. The people might have been bad at the time, but not up to that point. Salaam

Not in the support of "Aram", who is probably deluded in regards to his little understanding about Arabic grammar, but I nonetheless would like to throw my two cents here. is not about diacritics, it is about a form. In contemporary Arabic, it is second-person masculine singular active imperative of (akala), which is to consume. But the problem is, there were no such gramamtical forms in the pre-Islamic language, they added these like countless of other meanings, such , which means to oppose or divide, whereas to them it for some unknown reason means to direct towards, ignoring the very fact that this word comes is a derivative from root which comes from (adversary, oppose, hatred), in their fabricated modern Arabic, in order to make the text say what they wish it to say, and the so called "quran alone" who seemingly oppose the Sunnah still parrot the very same fabricated language, which Arabic Muslims or the Orientalists or even Christain apologists (for religious compromising activities) use). means to consume albeit in the Quran it contains a wider meaning, to have sustenance in life, to lead a life. Expression means to lead a lifestyle , in Quranic terms of course, but materialistically it can be translated simply as "Eat food". The problem with traditional materialistic thinking is their lack of critical and descriptive perception towards the world around them, whereas the material world consists of semiotic descriptions. If they see word hand, for instance, they will automatically think it means hand, and not something descriptive like an ancient proto-language would say, especially in a sacred poetic way. One has to be COMPLETELY free from any dogma, including the belief that one may be some annoited one, in order to understand the text in an unbiased way and stay critical and be ready to accept some things in the text you may not be ready to swallow. Afterall, there are many false prophets in this New Age...
