It should be easy, if you really need an answer. Face a problem, and look for it. What's hard is when you look for justification. I did read the Torah, as for me, a uneducated non-cleric which used to know religion on the bigger picture, I found out that Torah was complete, detail, and straight to the point. But, who thought that the Jews need another detailed information in order to understand it. Sorry but, I think the Jews look for justification to not to follow it. I dont see any difference with Muslims.

First off, apologies for resurrecting this old post, but truly the messages shared within this thread are amazingly thought-provoking. What I'm writing here is based upon my own spiritual journey - I am not God's (I am using this term so that everyone understands me) word. Thank you all for helping me evolve. The diverse opinions laid out here are the irrefutable exposition of why not one people will ever come to a mutual agreement in terms of religion; it is indeed an eternally-bound recurring debate. The main reasons for these continuous disagreements are Cultural and societal conditioning, the deep effect of emotions such as fear and blind faith/love, scientific ignorance as well as intellectual biases. This is extremely interesting because these same views were held by people before us, and will be held by people after us. Humans will pray for truth, but then stay in the same paradigm because they cannot defeat their innate and basic human condition. Everything always works out. So be it. True enlightenment is when one destroys correlation; True enlightenment is to not be affected by basic emotions (i.e. fear of blasphemy, attachment to past or present seemingly-pure religious-connection); True enlightenment is to lose any cultural / familial / societal condition and lose every pre-conceived notion of what is and what is not ; True enlightenment is to be extremely honest with oneself; True enlightenment is trusting and having faith in your honesty and where it will lead to. Everything will always work out. Man does not find truth with science. Man does not find truth with prayer. Man does not find truth with meditation. Man does not find truth with contemplation. Man does not find truth with research. Man does not find truth with study. Man does not find truth with the mind. Man does not find truth with the heart. Man does not find truth with the soul. Everything always works out; our will determines in which way it will work out. Man finds truth with everything. Truth fills the heart with relief and frees the mind of questioning forever. This understanding proves its veracity both with feeling which can never be humanly expressed and by a materialization of and physical / spiritual expression of said-truth. Man acquires then an absolute, life-long achievement of a pure unaltered truth. But everything always works out. God is One. The One is God. God is all of the entities ever mentioned in scriptures that have passed and will come to pass. In truth, Man must understand that Truth will never be altered, it is and will always be the same; the truth of the Old Testament, the truth of the New Testament, the truth of the Qu'ran, the truth of the Sutras, the truth of the Tao and all of the unmentioned scriptures. Once Man understands that, Man needs then to understand that The Tao has been altered, the Sutras have been altered, The Old Testament has been altered, the New Testament has been altered, the Qu'ran has equally been altered. Scriptures come down to different people at different times, this is why for the unexperienced eye they are seemingly different. Scriptures will furthermore never be immune to alteration, for Man is perverted. From then on, smaller details become explicit. Man created religion. Man created then hierarchy within religion. Man created ritual. Religion is not truth and truth will never be Religion. Religion can bring Truth, as Truth is Within religion. But religion disguises Truth and mixes it with Human weaknesses (explained above). What is immune to anything is the Truth within and that same truth we find everywhere. With or without scripture we find that same truth. And everything will always work out, and So be it. There are levels of enlightenment or heaven - whatever you want to call it. The basics of Truth such as good-heartedness will get you there; but the deeper Man digs, the more Understanding Man will get and the closer Man will get to The Truth. We will never have all of the answers - Even then, everything will always work out, and So be it and may understanding and faith be bestowed upon those who Believe Honestly. I have often read these claims and wanted to check them. It is unfortunate that when these claims are presented very few sources actually provide the evidence/verification. You write like this guy is going to read what you write right now right here. Haha yeah, I know he wrote it in 2005, I was writing it as a general humorous reaction. Humorous for me and my family anyway if they were to read it, and some of the people who enjoy my posts and follow them here maybe, or anyone who might find it while also knowing that I'm silly. Iblis which I interprete as diabolos to me fits the structure we see with any malak. Malaks are too abstract for us to comprehend. We can only experience them, communicate with them (when they are sent as messengers) in a transformed manifestation. The messengers sent to Lut are not even named. They are manifestations of malak in our physical world. In my understanding one angel can take the shape of many human shapes at the same time, even existing at the same time in seperate places. Iblis is no different. When Iblis manifests in this world we speak of satan. Satan are of the jinn. ps my understanding of iblis as diabolos is based on the linguistically overwhelming evidence all triliteral rootwords of this format in arab are loanwords. Peace

To me, it sounds like you're walking around expecting (not wanting, but expecting/fearing) things to go south. Actually, I think this condition is not at all unusual among people. I see it every now and then, even in myself. So, even when we logically and consciously pray for good, our subconscious expectations ruin it for us by fearful expectations. Asking for something to be preserved is the same as sending out vibrations of fear and expectations that it will be taken away. Had we been relaxed about having the good, we would not feel the need to pray for the preservation of that same good. The mind is a tricky thing! You need to try something very difficult, and that is to let go. It is very difficult to let go, because first we don't know what it means, and secondly, the mind is always there to enchant and distract us. You could start by getting into a mood of neutral acceptance. If you have something good in mind, and you fear it may be taken away, then just get into the mood of accepting that it may be taken away. Accept the worst case scenario. Not expect, but accept. This attitude can bring great relief and loosen up some mind tensions and get the juice of life flowing again. When we resist or insist too much, life tends to choke. Acceptance is connected to surrender. Another difficult thing, which must be practiced, and which seems counter intuitive, is to thank your Sustainer/Rabb for the good things IN ADVANCE. Start by small things, or the mind might hi jack the effort. Say, "Thank you for having given me such a pleasant and smooth shopping today"... even before reaching the mall. Get into the mood and emotion of gratitude. Make it a habit. Start with small things in life, because that's how we build a string foundation. And beware of your mind, it often ruins things (because it is just a logic machine). If you wish, I could point to some techniques... just send me a pm. And always remember, you are not your brain or mind! Even we the brain and mind seem to wreck havoc, there is no fault with us. They are just tools. Peace I actually already do everything you mentioned. I also have no choice but to accept whatever is given to me. The "strange life" I was talking about was regarding constant miracles. Even today were miracles, for example in a gigantic crowd of people, a woman came and stood next to me out of the crowd, and I had no fluid, and I sat down and she was sitting there and I saw on her cellphone hijabs, and I asked her if she is from Pakistan, and she was and she was fasting and had brought juice which she shared with me. I looked and out of the whole crowd, she was the only one out of thousands upon thousands who had this drink because she was fasting and was a Muslim so shared it with me. That was just one of many miracles, everything goes miraculously for me, but where anything goes "wrong" is that other human beings are criminal scum and do evil, generally their evil turns out good for me and leads to more miracles, but I still don't like it. My complaints are about other people, but each of the destructive stories seem deliberate and crucial, nothing to do with my intentions. If even one of the little stories didn't happen 30 more miracles wouldn't have happened. Do you consider the events in the lives of the Prophets due to their vibrations or intentions? Allah is the author, we aren't "co-creators" in my opinion, in fact I consider that an insidious shirk existing in the world today. So things are going perfectly well for me, you would see in my life there are undeniable miracles that are so constant it would put anyone in awe, that doesn't mean human beings don't disgust me and do stuff that bothers me, even if it leads to benefit for me and more success and miracles. Though I'm very grateful, I don't like any of this, just like I don't like bloodshed for example or the wickedness in the world, I don't like it this way even though my stories are good ones. Also, things are going to go badly, for example deaths and whatever are expected (you know, it is said everyone dies, so loved ones included), all one can do is inoculate ahead of time.

Humankind is defined by language; but civilization is defined by writing. Writing made historical records possible, and writing was the basis for the urban societies of the Old World. All humans speak; only humans in civilizations write, so speech is primary and writing is secondary. Nevertheless, written rather than spoken language received attention from scholars since antiquity standards were codified and rules were formulated. An educated minority attempted to speak as they wrote, and they assumed special prestige with command of these artificial rules and standards. All the while, the majority who spoke as they had learned from their cradle maintained their native tongues in their evolving vitality and vibrancy. Language changes continually, but writing cannot keep up, both because of social conservatism and because permanent documents remain as a continual reminder of the past standards. You talk exactly I had given you a quote from a famous book. No need of delving into anthropology of language. Simply know what is a Proper Noun and how to identify a proper noun in a text. Your problem will be solved. The reality is that Arabs of pre-Islam were not a very civilized society. Furthermore, there are no real records of any written documents, besides few stone inscriptions, prior to Quran. Therefore, it is all understandable that as the society became civilized, it learned and set standards of written language. This happened over few centuries and Quranic text evolved to present text shape mainly during this time period. It is just rubbish.
