Indeed, Bigmo, and today we hve a modern version of that, what is called "media lynching". You can undo political or other careers by that system without any risk, because going through courts is very expensive and at any rate, even with a favourable veredict at the end of it, the reputation is gone and in the best case, doubts will linger no matter what and by the time the clearing verdit may come out, the harm will have already been done. Salaam Very true. Historically many Blacks in America were lynched because of accusations of crime. Many times no evidence was needed. You analogy of politicians is very accurate. In fact a case can be made from the verses regarding the media and its responsibility. Whats interesting about the verses is that truth here is not the important factor but deterence. Its to deter someone from opening his mouth even if he actually saw something. Interesting the Quran also made such provisions when it came to spousal accusation. Een if a spuse caught their partner in an act, he still has to swear four times and so does the other spouse. Most cases the other partner will deny the accusation and the Quran knows that. After all the Quran did allow people to proclaim disbelief with their tongues if they are being tortured as long as its not coming from their hearts. Lashing is a form of torture and torment. At the same time the verses also tells us the Quran does see zina as a crime and a major sin but not necessarily to be persecuted. Adultery is truly unique case in the Quran. There is a responsibility to your partner and to God but also there is individual freedom.

Does this mean that humans do not need to pray in heaven? In heaven you have rivers of wine, so wine can't be all bad. I just wonder if wine is the work of the devil how he managed to get into heaven and install the springs which feed the rivers of wine.

Salaam everybody, Do you have any ideas, how to clear this misconception for most? This is a good question. It looks anaas has been influenced back to his pre-ruuh state of injustice and ignorance wherein is this pseudo-need for adoration, worship. Any ideas who would be the influencer? My intuition tells me the answer is with salaat and searching for what is the true salaat. Salaat would be the activity by which this fog, commotion would clear up. Best regards, adjwi

Peace Why not just set aside a little time each week to read and study Quran together, discuss findings, ask open questions etc. Let the internal power of The Quran do all the work. Don't view it as an attempt to convince the other, or accuse the other etc. Agreed. Mrsjiffysweeper, Ever since we stopped trying to convince each other about things, my husband and I have been able to have very peaceful Quran reading sessions. He's always working, and Quran reading sessions are the few times we get to spend time with one another. Initially, we had many disagreements and even fights, because we didn't agree on quite a few things (and still don't agree), but now we have learned to let it go. That internal power is God guiding us (my opinion), and sometimes we've been able to see things from each other's point of view, without having to spend an eternity arguing back and forth. By the way, my husband is God alone too, but there's still plenty to debate about. I imagine that it's more difficult with a Hadith follower, but I still recommend continuing those Quran reading sessions, because you just never know.

I personally believe that Yes Angels do have wings. However, they are created from other materials. God Also cites in the Quran that he made some creations which walk on 4 or 2 legs or on their stomachs.... and that there is different colors, races, languages etc. it's understandable that there is different creations with different features, even if they're from the same species. Salaam, What do they do with the wings? Salaam, Bender

Assalamu alaikum, Why wasn't Quran compiled in the order it was revealed? I tried researching on this topic. But couldn't find any convincing explanation. May Allah forgive me If I'm wrong - but I believe it would have been great if it were compiled in the order it was revealed. Then one could travel through its early journey without having to refer any other documents/history since Quran validates itself! I would love to know your take on this Regards, Thanzeel Wa Alaikum Salaam Thanzeel, welcome to the forum. Order of revelation? What is it actually? As per 16101 and 5101, aayaats and alQuraan still under revelation and it will be always if you are referring to the words derived from Noon Zaa Laam for example nazala. Please note the word in 16101 is used for aayaats, it is used for present tense and also for future tense. This exact same word is used in 3024 for sending down water from sky. We have to understand that sending of water from sky is not once and for all, it is a continues process, the same goes for sending down aayaats in 16101. So, why this isn't in continues process? Please take a look at this, it may help you inshaAllah. May Allah increase us in knowledge and guide us to His only path pr mmKhan

The Creator's mercy is infinite. So long as you repent sincerely in this life, you will be forgiven. The only exception is those who bear witness to God only right before they die after a lifetime of deliberate rejection. From what I understand, God's mercy is such that for smaller sins you may e forgiven even without actually repenting. If I am wrong, forgive me.

Salam brother mubashir this is a quiete interesting post. I'm not agree with him in many points. In this world, we are well aware of the fact that life has been endowed to us not because it is our right but because it is a trial and a test for us. Death puts an end to it whenever the duration of this test is over, as deemed by the Almighty. Commonly, He fixes the length of this period on the basis of His knowledge and wisdom. However, in case of the direct and foremost addressees of a rasl (Messenger of Allah), once the truth is unveiled to them in its ultimate form after which they have no excuse but stubbornness and enmity to deny it, they lose their right to live. The Almighty had blessed them with life to try and test them, and since after (itmm al-hujjah6) this trial becomes totally complete, therefore the law of the Almighty in this regard is that generally such people are not given any further right to live and the death sentence is imposed upon them. Yes, our life is a trial and a test. But non other then GOD HIMSELF has the right to punish others no human has the right to decide over life or death - ONLY GOD KNOWS THE FUTUR. A UNBELIEVER CAN BECOME A BELIEVER AND VIA VERSA - we don't know, but God knows everything. Punishment is only possible by God's command through a messenger, whether man or angel - no ordinary mortal has the right to choose over live or death. To make a general law from two quranic verses is not correct in my opinion. When the forbidden months are over, slay the Idolaters wherever you find them. Seize them, besiege them and every where lie in ambush for them. But if they repent from their ill beliefs and establish the prayer and pay zakh, then spare their lives. God is Most-Forgiving and Ever-Merciful. (95) the above-cited Aya is disclosed for a particular situation - the context is extremely important. As history has proven it can have fatal consequences when people remodel God's Word in their own thinking or interpreting. On www. quransmessage.com we can found a very good illustration about Sura 9 - These cited unbelievers were not 'normal' unbelievers, but they broke their treaty with the Prophet they had made before and spread evil and tried to harm the Muslim community with the dirtiest tricks . Many learned men made - guided by Sura 9 - an universally valid law for Apostasy. hypno To make a decision, based on Quranic verses that are taken out of context and ignoring the entire Qur'anic statement is, in my opinion very questionable and dangerous. The following Aya suppose this point of view Fight against those among the people of the Book who believe not in God nor in the Last Day, and who do not forbid what God and His Prophet have forbidden and do not accept the religion of truth as their own religion, until they pay jizyah out of subjugation and lead a life of submission. (929) Submission means Islam, but not THE RELIGION ISLAM HOW IT IS UNDERSTOOD TODAY. As we know Submission has nothing to do with the so called Islam... jedi The foregoing discussion, outlines a law of the Almighty. There is a natural corollary to this Divine law as obvious as the law itself. As stated earlier, the death penalty had been imposed upon the Ummiyyn if they did not accept faith after a certain period. Hence, it follows that if a person among the Ummiyyn after accepting faith reverted to his original state of disbelief, he had to face the same penalty. Indeed, it is this reversion about which the Prophet (sws) is reported to have said ?Execute the person who changes his faith.? This statement is clear false nowhere in the Quran God impose a deadth penalty- this is a clear introduction from evil people we found the statement for punishment to death only in the OT and in the secondary sources... One point further How can God speakt about people who believe, then lost their faith, then believe again, then lost their faith again ? in the above written law there would be no chance for people who fall away from the faith to be believe again ... (even if we only apply the law at the time of the Prophet, it remains the same ...) God further says in this verse that he will never forgive those. Important here God forgives or punishes us.NOT WE. it is not our case to forgive people or to punish them without a clear law from God - God alone is the 'ahsan al hakimiin' -the best judge. Salam peace

Salaaman, Simply saying it is erroneous is not enough. Please get me some examples from alQuraan how the words are used as I have given example to understand it better. In fact, you stretched my point. "Sahru Ramadhan" could be any month of fasting, but with it comes with "al" it is referring back to what it is said but also it shows the availability of that month. May Allah increase us in knowledge and guide us to His only path pr mmKhan Except proper Nouns and Pronouns, the Nouns in Arabic are "indefinite" by default. Here "Al" before the word "month" has made it "Sahru Ramadhan". Ramadhan is one particular month of a lunar year. To say it means "any month of fasting" is meaningless. Perusal of information about system of converting indefinite nouns to definite will be beneficial to move out of such erroneous understanding. As for "the availability", it is the conditional clause mentioned in the Ayah before this definite single word.

Peace. We can speculate, and many people have speculated, for years regarding "how" Mary, if a virgin, was able to conceive a child. In any case, the Qur'aan is not explicit on this issue - nor does it even explicitly state that Mary was a virgin when she conceived Jesus! For all we know, Jesus was conceived just like (nearly) every other human being on the planet - through sexual intercourse. Hell, I've even talked to certain Muslims who don't believe that Jesus was a real person at all; they believe that his story, as detailed in the Qur'aan, is a parable derived from the Bible, and Mary and Jesus are merely used as representations of something else. According to them, his story is relayed in the Qur'aan merely with the intent of sending a message to Christians who believe(d) in him. Are those people correct? To date, there's no historical proof (outside of established religious doctrine) that Jesus ever existed, especially not in the role designated to him by the Bible and Qur'aan. So, ultimately, we don't know. If a man may or may not have existed in reality, then of what significance is it to establish a concept of his so-called miraculous conception? That's like arguing about the Easter Bunny's favorite color! If Jesus was an actual, historical person, then we know that he was obviously born of a man and a woman. Was this woman (e.g. Mary) a virgin at the time of his conception? We don't know, and we'll probably never know. Given the circumstances, that answer should be good enough. Otherwise, we're only guessing and speculating. The Qur'aan speaks on that subject too "And if you obey most of those in the earth, they will lead you astray from God's way. They follow nothing but assumption, and they only guess." (Q. 6116) Peace, Ahmad Very interesting post indeed @Ahmad Bilal! I tend to agree with you. I also think that Jesus is a symbolic figure, that's the reason why in the Gospels they refer to him as "a son of man" and as a "son of God", both metaphors indicating human-animal and human-spiritual nature. Mary is also a symbol of a chaste woman. To be on the Straight Path and be nearer to God one has to get rid of his/her lower/animal nature and ego, and become more spiritual, specially since in the Hereafter there will be no body at all, so one should start preparing himself here... PS O, and I loved the quotation in red at the end! )

Peace everyone, In my humble opinion, I think that obey God and obey the messenger is still redundant anyway since the messenger only followed revelation. bravo Peace! yay Peace inquisitivetrini, To obey God and obey the messenger is a reenforcement to the audience to obey the messenger of God. This is a reminder to those who harbor doubts, and also the way of settling disputes among those that the messenger puts in charge. Therefore the followers are reminded that obeying Muhammad is obeying God. Muhammad may be following revelation but some adherants may be hesitant, therefore they were encouraged to obey the messenger hence obeying God. Peace Maha Following the line of messengers regarding the last message to humankind from God Angel Gabriel delivered the message from god to Muhammad. He is the first message bearer or messenger. Then, Muhammad delivered the message to the people of his time. Muhammad becomes the message bearer or messenger. Then, Muhammad dies and the message is left in the Holy Quran. Qura'n becames the message bearer or messanger. Agreed Peace Maha In my opinion messenger and message are the same thing. When people reject a message they reject the messenger, and by rejecting the messenger they reject the message. Destroying or Denying the messenger is a refusal to accept the sender requests. very good This is the heart of the matter, some folks had to be reminded that Muhammad was speaking for God. By the way wrkmmn no need to shout! Peace O0

Salaam, as in my previous I define islam as Islam means what it means, submission, delivery... to God in this case. The problem is not in defining islam, but in our idea of God, and that, I am afraid, is not uniform. It depends on each person's evolution, starting point, etc. in fact that is the meaning of our life, of everybody's life, return to God, get to know, in whatever extent, God, at the pace we are capable of... To that we cannot put rules or measurements to exact this or that. That pertains to each person destiny and what God has given that person as a task in his or her life. Which is the reason why to force any 3aquida, conditions or whatever to be right or wrong according to "the" religion, is pure wishful thinking and a fantasy, and therefore unanimity in such things, also fantasy. Thank God, who is the Master and Ruler who knows what He does. Alhamdulillah. Salaam

Dear all, Salam Mary giving birth to jesus is very easy and simple to prove. Here is how it is possible I was born in India,am interested in aquiring islamic knowledge. There was an islamic scholar named Sir Syed Ahmad Khan.He wrote quranic commentry amd was founder of aMuslim University.here is how virgin birth is possible. brickwall During Mary s times, people use to take bath in ponds. No water taps in houses.now during taking bath,a man discharges due to stimulation by hand or water or by cloths, the sperm discharged remains in the pond s water, and then when Mary goes for a bath, the sperm is sucked up by her lips between her thighs, the sperm will or may cause a pregnancy. It was not a miracle, because Mary went through the 9 months of pregnancy period, could be a miricle only if Jesus was born in no time,or immediately. She did had the pangs of pain, like a regular pregnent lady.Ahmad the person who forwarded this idea was tlod by a critic, well hmmmm,it is a far flung idea, but could be possible only one in a million,he replied,so what,he claimed there are so many cases like that, but now the lady is either a muslim or christian or a jew,so such ladies when they claim becoming preg.without a husband are either murdered in cold blood,or they themselves run away from houses and would not tell so to anyone out of fear. Dear free minders,if any one of you is interested to know, how the fire didnot burn Abraham, and how Moses crossed the sea safely but pharoh was drowmed,I have the answers.I can also prove that ,in the times of our prophet Mohammad, the great angel, use to bring quran not in verbal speech or sound only,he use to bring the quran in pieces,in the shape of written scrip in scrolls, because I have an archiogical proof from an very old item still preserved in some rich persons collections.I also some information that how Moses staff turned in a big snake. hope you find it interesting. elektro yeah voodoo yeah
