Questions/Comments on the Quran

Peace mmkhan and all, The reason I am asking this question is because I want to be sure whether I need to wash my hair after sex and before I do salat. I have extremely thick, long hair. As you can imagine, it becomes a chore to wash it frequently. I sometimes find myself turning my husband down so that I can do salat without having to wash my locks. Peace Dawn... Oh my goodness. I know what you mean...I used to feel the same way. -[ I agree with Good Logic I have not seen where the Qur'an says we have to wash our hair as part of ghusl/wudhu. -Amina

Peace all, I have problems with both of these understandings, but based on my very limited understanding of the 'Arabic language, I do not see any other linguistic possibilities for different meanings. I have read Dr. Shabbir's interpretation about Abraham being ordered to "give up/emigrate away from" his son, but I cannot agree with this as it seems to be creating a totally new and unfounded meaning for an 'Arabic word. "played around" Edyp knows. There is no such thing as an "Orginal Quran". Isn't that the oldest-according to recorded information available. There are Quran versions, the Hafs, Warsh, Qaloon etc. Which one did God reveale & protected? God only protects his way. That is why men has evolved for so so many millions of years into one of the most intelligent creatures. With the mathematical composition of the Quran (based on the number 19), we know which one God protected. Are you saying if i changed something in the quran you will know? Try to change some things to see that it is possible to get away, number 19 is a very very weak safety net. What matters is what you or i do in our life time and not what some one living in the middle ages did or didn't do. peace

The Masjid al haram - the only time the prophet entered it was when in war according to the quran and at no other time. What do warriors enter into at times of war? and you don't enter into at all other times. In 2225 the people are forced to sway from the way of Allah to Almasjid alharam. The Quran is clear - we have one life here on earth and will die and then awoken (one new life). In keeping with all the Quranic verses and with a view to remain consistent, it is clear that the Quran informs the reader that death can approach one at any point. At the point of death, one will come to know the truth, the possible reality of his actual purpose on earth. One will then enter a state of ?Barzakh? where all human concept of time will cease. Once awoken, one would be face to face with the Day of judgment and it would have felt that one had tarried just a short while (regardless of actual time). This is when the final judgment would then begin, where not an atom's weight of injustice would take place (997-. God?s concept of time is completely different from our own (2247; 325; 70 039042 ? It is God that takes the souls (of men) at death; and those that die not (He takes) during their sleep those on whom He has passed the decree of death, He keeps back (from returning to life), but the rest He sends (to their bodies) for a term appointed verily in this are Signs for those who reflect? God will not order anybody to kill his son/daughter. a good answer from a brother in another forum Salam (b) At no place does the Quran say that God sent Prophet Abraham the dream. The Quran only says that Prophet Abraham had a dream (37102). The Quran clearly informs us when God does inspire dreams such as with Prophet Muhammad (1760; 4827; 843) and those visions that are fulfilled such as with Prophet Joseph (124; 12100). However, Prophet Abraham's vision was 'stopped' by God (37104-5) All the Quran informs us is that Prophet Abraham had a dream (37102), he wasn't sure about the nature of the dream, so he sought his son's opinion (37102). His son believed it from God and they both continued to submit to the task thinking it was from God. God stopped them in time (37104-5) and God informed them that they had fulfilled the dream. There is a strong implication that this was because they had already 'submitted' in purpose to what they believed was from God. Given this huge undertaking that they were willing to submit to, this was called a 'manifest trial' (balau-l'mubeen). There really is no getting away from it is there rotfl I wonder sometimes at the brains of some people, even this guy can't fiddle with the verses enough to get away from the fact. He submitted, he was willing to do it, God stopped him because it wasn't the intention that he kill his son, the intention was that he be willing to do it. He fulfilled it, he passed the trial. Bismillah Alrahmanir raheem, most shia use this ayah while dicusing imamah, and they bring the claim that Imamah is supported by this ayah, how to Quranist view this ayah? who are the people of AUTHORITY in this ayah? O you who believe, you shall obey GOD, and you shall obey the messenger, and those in charge among you. If you dispute in any matter, you shall refer it to GOD and the messenger, if you do believe in GOD and the Last Day. This is better for you, and provides you with the best solution. Salaam, 459 459 O you who have believed, obey Allah and obey the Messenger and those in authority among you. And if you disagree over anything, refer it to Allah and the Messenger, if you should believe in Allah and the Last Day. Peace Denis, Well, this is my interpretation I think that there is no hardship in what God expects us in regard to the commandments, prohibitions, suggestions, etc. However, life can often throw hurdles which are difficult to bear, and so we must strive hard and never forget why we are here, and who we worship and ask for help.
