yau are saying that that jumuati indicating a physical time. Mashi. But why damma and female? has a particular reason, or is that just the way? sorry if I nerve Verbal Nouns do not indicate gender, nor number. They signify occurence of an action or existence of a state. Patterns are known. You can visit on line Arabic grammar and see about patterns. It is used in Possessive Phrase, the first Noun is definite because of definitness of second noun; "The Day of the Gathering".

Exactly. It is not stating a punishment that the community, the believers, or whoever should apply, it is stating what may happen to those people, what they earn with their behaviour. Salaam oh...okay For me too. i thank also Mazhar for his response. Peace

It is preposterous to say that beause only consonants are represented graphically that the voewels do not matter. The vowels are there even if you do not see them. People cannot speak without vowels and people have pronounced the Qur'an and heard the Qur'an with vowels, and may be far more than read. People have many times been illiterate and not because of that the didn't know what they said or know nothing nor poetry nor narrations. Quite the opposite, the memorizing capacity was greater. On the other hand, by that ruly, then chinese doesn't have neither consonants nor vowels, so just simply we know absolutely nothing in chinese, everything is unknown. Arabic writing is not more misterious than chinese, nor even than the so called hebrew, and the latter seems not to be a matter of contention for anybody, in spite of it. Salaam

Salam Thanks as always for your comments you all. Any significance to the following verse? 2137 "So if they believe as ye believe, they are indeed on the right path; but if they turn back, it is they who are in schism;" i just read this sura and found it give also answer 42.13He has decreed for you the same system He ordained for Noah, and what We inspired to you, and what We ordained for Abraham, Moses, and Jesus You shall uphold this system, and do not divide in it. Intolerable for the polytheists is what you invite them towards. God chooses for Himself whoever He wills; He guides to Himself those who repent. the system from God=believe in God the one 42.14And they only divided after the knowledge had come to them, due to resentment among themselves. And had it not been for a predetermined decision from your Lord, they would have been judged immediately. Indeed, those who inherited the Book after them are full of doubts. because they loved their prophets and the bloodline more than God, they quarreled among themselves .... 4215 For that, you shall preach and be upright, as you have been commanded, and do not follow their wishes. And say I believe in all that God has sent down as a Book, and I was commanded to be with justice between you. God is our Lord and your Lord. We have our deeds and you have your deeds. There is no argument between us and you. God will gather us all together, and to Him is the ultimate destiny. And those who debate about God, after they had been answered, their argument is nullified at their Lord. They have incurred a wrath, and will have a severe retribution. There is no argument, because we both believe in the same one God 4217 God is the One who sent down the Book with the truth, and the balance. And for all that you know, the Hour may be very near. 4218 Those who do not believe in it seek to hasten it, while those who believe are concerned about it, and they know that it is the truth. Certainly, those who dispute the Hour have gone far astray. there was not a group Jews who would not believe in the Day of Judgment and with which Jesus spoke? (where was the thread)?? hmm 42.21Or do they have partners who decree for them a system which has not been authorized by God? And if it were not for the word already given, they would have been judged immediately. Indeed, the transgressors will have a painful retribution. they do not believe God when they ascribe partners, partners who possess HUKM who deserve only God so that they can say how the system from God should be, i.e. change HIS divine law Salam

Salam all thanks Youssuf for sharing from the website you sited above What the above means is that the Qur'an has come to us through many transmitted versions. You cannot recite or read the Qur'an except through one of these versions. Each version has its own chain of narrators (isnad) like a hadith. There are more versions than those listed above but they are not considered authentic because their chain of narration is considered weak. Not all of these versions are printed or used today, but several are. We will now compare two of them. this claim we found everywhere - it's contradict the quran! when we look at the article from musbashir, (thank you), it seems clear from the quran itself, this claim is false.. so then what we read today, is it then really the quran what AllAh give to Muhammad??? there are two possible answers yes - it's the same and the differents are not much and not important no- it's not the same but the differents are not much and not important what we know, that the different spellings etc. not touch the meaning. But interesting, that we found this 19 stuff, what show us, that probably we don't have today the ORIGINAL. and confirmed at the same time that the koran was written completly and exactly THE TIME OF MUHAMMAD by noble writers. (but if we accept the 19 as a sign to show wher is the truth, then the door for manipulation and claims (to remove verses) is wide open... -) tempt Brother Hafeez make a very good statement here http//free-minds.org/forum/index.php?topic=8055.msg308435#new salam

Salam Hafeez Thank you for sharing How could the people of the Book abandon their PRAYER, which was inspired to their prophets, and follow the prayers of the Muslims, not detailed in the Quran. Is this not disbelieving in the prayers of their BOOKS and prophets? The prayers are not in the Torah nor the Indschil, and not even in the Psalms or in the Koran accurately detailed. However, Jews and Christians worship similar to Muslims - so how it could come? And if it is not explained in detail, then variations are allowed. God does not demand of us a stubborn RITUAL, HE like devotion and ISLAM. Why complicate things when they are easy? Salam

Thank you everyone for your responses. I was thinking along the same lines of most of you. I do believe that there is a lot more to be learnt from these verses and as IAMOP stated, there is a lot of misunderstanding around these verses. God bless you all!

Peace Thanks for bringing this up. More research would need to be done to understand. The sun is not the guide of the Shadow, because there are other sources of light. and the word used for "guide" would be better translated IMO as "a marker", i.e the sun marks the shadow. Shadow has always been a difficult and interesting subject for study from Aristole onwards. Qur'aan declared it as an entity by its own right. And tells that it has relationship with electromagnatic radiation; that it is not synonymous with layer of darkness; that shade shadow is not like sunlight heat; it is safe from infra red radiation; prostration aspect is with reference to timings mornings and evenings not all day. Nine years back I had written this study in Urdu. This subject needs further critical study. http//haqeeqat.org.pk/book_2/3/slides/1.html There is a 325 pages book named "Seeing dark things-Philosphy of shadows". Google search it is available for download. It will be good if someone reads it and gives a gist.

Actually, that's your interpretation of what the ayah is saying. well lets see, what the two ayah's said; The qibla changed from the previous to the new , to the straight path ,SIRATINMUSTAQEEM, yes? 2142 The foolish from among the people will say "What has turned them away from the focal point that they were on?" Say "To God are the east and the west, He guides whomsoever He wishes to a straight path." 6153 is stating what the straight path,SIRATINMUSTAQEEM, is, isn't it? Isn't that factual enough? hypno

Salaam brother I mentionned verses in the opening post for example 380 Nor does He order you that you take the angels and the prophets as (Arbab). Would He order you to rejection after you have submitted? here teacher has better meaning than make you grow. in fact, God is rabb of all people of the book. Taking other rabb than god is a bad thing (associtation) I found no verse, (i didnt see all the 800), that mention that God is rabb of unbelivers. So the growth can't be taken in the sense of physical growth So, the sense "make grow", is to be taken in the spiritual sense, wich is spiritual growth, wich is education. Peace Salaam brother, Thank you for that aayat. Yes, it seems that growth does not suite in 380, as I said, I have no study on this subject. BTW, I found this. 2049 2049 said, "So who is the Lord of you two, O Moses?" 2050 2050 He said, "Our Lord is He who gave each thing its form and then guided." 2051 2051 said, "Then what is the case of the former generations?" 2052 2052 said, "The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a record. My Lord neither errs nor forgets." 2053 2053 who has made for you the earth as a bed and inserted therein for you roadways and sent down from the sky, rain and produced thereby categories of various plants. This may help to understand what Rabb means! hmm May Allah increase us in knowledge and guide us to His true path pr mmKhan

Peace & thank you for sharing For me, the beginning verses of sura 79 would be the hardest verses in the Quran to understand... Salamun alaika, Thanks. First four Ayah are perhaps the simplest as for Arabic text is concerned. First word is Active Participle followed by a Verbal Noun in accusative case, showing it as Circumstance of preceding active participle. It becomes complicated only when we read gossips of relating these feminine active participles to Male Angels.

w/salaam, Your response is lacking. "listed" is not the same as "analysed" which is what I asked. As I expected, no specific response. Salamun alaika Why are you reluctant to open and just run through the article? It is analysed in detail. Listing is at the end of page with morphological analysis.

A prophet has no mission to punish unbelieving people whereas a messenger has. Some but not all of the prophets are messengers , for instance the prophet Idris was only a prophet and not a messenger.
