Salam The issue is these verses are in Arabic and not English. Only an Arabic speaker who is aware of the language and culture is going to understand them. I reject your English translations because 1) it's wrong and 2)they are not Quran, they are just interpretations. If we made it a non-Arabic Qoran they would have said, "Why did it come down in that language?" Whether it is Arabic or non- Arabic, say, "For those who believe, it is a guide and healing. As for those who disbelieve, they will be deaf and blind to it, as if they are being addressed from faraway." Wrong translation "foreign" is a mistranslation and so is "Arabic" in this context. AJM actually means ambiguous and unclear and ARB means clear and explicit. So now the proper understanding of the verse. It has nothing to do with foreign or Arab. See how wrong the translation is? It's not Quran and it was misleading. A simple example. So no one can understand the Quran grasp the message except those who are Arabs? Or except you yourself. There are many Arab Christians who read Quran but did not grasp the message. Grasping the Quran comes from God and sincere devotions to him along for guidance. Why would God send a book in Arabic and expect non Arabs to follow. He could have sent then each community his own book in his own language. To you traditionalist don't know Arabic, Christians Arabs don't know Arabic, members here also don't know Arabic. All don't know Arabic except you. Bro I don't really know what you think of others. What I see is that you are arrogant. It's onky you knows Arabic. Why don't you translate the whole Quran for everyone to benefit or it can not be translated. It's onky you who have this ability. You are arrogant bro God bless

Common sense , different languages Issa(Arabic) = Jesus( English). But if you want to keep it as Issa then 1- Message of Issa.. So read the post and replace the word Jesus by Issa. The post will not change its message. or meaning or context. You still have the problem of context that renders the explanation you provided false. The disciples of Issa believed His message "Recall that I inspired the disciples You shall believe in Me and My messenger.' They said, We have believed, and bear witness that we are Muslimeen/ submitters.' " وَإِذ أَوحَيتُ إِلَى الحَوارِيّـۧنَ أَن ءامِنوا بى وَبِرَسولى قالوا ءامَنّا وَاشهَد بِأَنَّنا مُسلِمونَ Recall that the disciples said, "O Issa, son of Mary, can your Lord send down to us a feast from above?" He said, "You should reverence God, if you are believers." They said, "We wish to eat from it, and to reassure our hearts, and to know for sure that you have told us the truth. We will serve as witnesses thereof." قالوا نُريدُ أَن نَأكُلَ مِنها وَتَطمَئِنَّ قُلوبُنا وَنَعلَمَ أَن قَد صَدَقتَنا وَنَكونَ عَلَيها مِنَ الشّٰهِدينَ* Said Issa, the son of Mary, "Our god, our Lord, send down to us a feast from the sky. Let it bring plenty for each and every one of us, and a sign from You. Provide for us; You are the best Provider." ءِ تَكونُ لَنا عيدًا لِأَوَّلِنا وَءاخِرِنا وَءايَةً مِنكَ وَارزُقنا وَأَنتَ خَيرُ الرّٰزِقينَ God said, "I am sending it down. Anyone among you who disbelieves after this, I will punish him as I never punished anyone. GOD bless you. Peace.
  • Does Sura 4:43 adress men only?

Assalamu Alaykum, I've a question about the sura 443. It appears to me that the sura is divided in 2 parts the first part is generic and adress men and women In the second part, it looks like if the order to perform tayammum in case of sexual relationship is directed to men only. Could you please help me understand it? The whole verse was towards men, most of the Quran is towards men. Women are an exception. It should be noted that it is "o you who had believed" this is in the past perfect tense not present imperfect tense. The verse is not addressing people today, it was to people in the time of the revelation.

https//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al-Ji%27rana - see footnotes too Al-Ji'rana (Arabic الجعرانة) is a village in Makkah Province, in western Saudi Arabia. It is located 18 miles northeast of Mecca. Al-Ji'rana was mentioned by the 8th-century Arab historian al-Waqidi. In his Kitab al-Tarikh wa al-Maghazi (Arabic كتاب التاريخ والمغازي, "Book of History and Campaigns&quot Al-Waqidi describes two ancient sanctuaries in Al-Ju'ranah visited by Muhammad on his journey on dha al-qa'dah of the eighth year after the Hijrah masjid al-aqṣā ("the farthest mosque&quot and masjid al-adnā ("the closest mosque&quot. This was also mentioned by Al-Azraqi, a 9th century Islamic commentator and historian. According to the Qur'an, Muhammad was transported to a site named Al-Aqsa—"the furthest place of prayer" (al-Masjid al-'Aqṣā) during his Night Journey (Isra and Mi'raj). The Qur'an does not mention the exact location of "the furthest place of prayer". The actual meaning of the phrase is debated in both early Islamic and contemporary sources. According to the Encyclopaedia of Islam, the term was originally understood as a reference to a site in the heavens. Another group of Islamic scholars understood the story of Muhammad's ascension from al-Aqsa Mosque as relating to Jerusalem. Eventually, a consensus emerged around the identification of the "furthest place of prayer" with Jerusalem, and by implication the Temple Mount. In 1953, British Islamic scholar Alfred Guillaume suggested that Al-Ju'ranah was the location of Al-Aqsa described in the Qur'an as the destination of Muhammad's Night Journey. He based his theory on the writings of Al-Waqidi and Al-Azraqi. In 1959, French art historian Oleg Grabar wrote this theory was convincing. This theory has received backing from Youssef Ziedan, Mordechai Kedar, Yitzhak Reiter, and Suleiman al-Tarawneh in recent years. These historians also support the view according which the Umayyad dynasty's political objectives contributed to the sanctification of Jerusalem in Islam, as they sought to compete with the religious importance of Mecca, which was then ruled by their rival, Abd Allah ibn al-Zubayr. The theory has been criticized as a "claim merely consists of subjective interpretations". In November 2020, Saudi lawyer Osama Yamani promoted this theory in an opinion article in the Saudi newspaper Okaz. The article sparked outrage from Muslims around the world, with some writers claiming it was fabricated to justify the decision of some Gulf countries to normalize ties with Israel. The Umayyad Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem https//www.jstor.org/stable/4629098 Khalek, N. (2011). Jerusalem in Medieval Islamic Tradition. Religion Compass, 5(10), 624–630. doi10.1111/j.1749-8171.2011.00305.x. "One of the most pressing issues in both medieval and contemporary scholarship related to Jerusalem is weather the city is explicitly referenced in the text of the Qur'an. Sura 17, verse 1, which reads has been variously interpreted as referring to the miraculous Night Journey and Ascension of Muhammad, events recorded in medieval sources and known as the isra and miraj. As we will see, this association is a rather late and even a contested one. The earliest Muslim work on the Religious Merits of Jerusalem was the Fada'il Bayt al-Maqdis by al-Walid ibn Hammad al-Ramli (d. 912 CE), a text which is recoverable from later works. He relates the significance of Jerusalem vis-a-vis the Jewish Temple, conflating 'a collage of biblical narratives' and comments pilgrimage to Jerusalem, a practice which was controversial in later Muslim periods." "Miʿrād̲j̲". The Encyclopaedia of Islam. Vol. 7 (New ed. 2006 ed.). Brill. 2006. pp. 97–105. For this verse, tradition gives three interpretations The oldest one, which disappears from the more recent commentaries, detects an allusion to Muhammad's Ascension to Heaven. This explanation interprets the expression al-masjid al-aksa, "the further place of worship" in the sense of "Heaven" and, in fact, in the older tradition isra is often used as synonymous with miradj (see Isl., vi, 14). The second explanation , the only one given in all the more modern commentaries, interprets masjid al-aksa as "Jerusalem" and this for no very apparent reason. It seems to have been an Umayyad device intended to further the glorification of Jerusalem as against that of the holy territory (cf. Goldziher, Muh. Stud., ii, 55-6; Isl, vi, 13 ff), then ruled by Abd Allah b. al-Zubayr. Al-Tabarl seems to reject it. He does not mention it in his History and seems rather to adopt the first explanation.

I am trying to understand verses 1-4 of chapter 2. Summarizing as I understand it. This book is guidance for Muttaqin who Believe in the unseen Establish prayers Spend for Allah Believe in whats sent to Prophet and what was sent before Believe in the hereafter These 5 conditions are not present in any non-muslim. You wouldn’t see a non-muslim establishing prayer or paying Zakat. Based on the 5 conditions given above what I understand is that this book has only guidance for muslims and no guidance for non-muslims. I know that other places Quran mentions that it is guidance for all humanity. How do you reconcile the two? It's all about belief and actions.. If anyone ask bring evidence of God.. No.. No evidence.. God call us believers and disbelievers with intent.. Chapter two first few verses you brought is all about belief and actions.. Second point is not ritual salah.. It's about your integrity... Third point spending for Allah is wrong.. Spending for our self.. In a nutshell.. Believe and keep doing good actions.. God is not a laboratory object to clinically experiment and bring evidence. BTW... Muttaqeen is just concious ones.. Nothing else.. Thank you..

If you doubt, their waiting period is three lunar months. إن ارتبتم فعدتهن ثلاثة أشهر In other words if you doubt whether you really want to divorce your wife think over and over again in order to become sure before their waiting period expires. Women who have not had their courses until 18 are living the problem of delayed puberty* but they are eligible to marry. You can marry them at 18 although they have not had their courses and divorce them at say 25 although they have not had their courses. https//www.hopkinsmedicine.org/health/conditions-and-diseases/delayed-puberty Medical conditions, including diabetes, cystic fibrosis or kidney disease, can cause delayed puberty, but sometimes no cause can be identified. Disorders of the thyroid or pituitary glands may cause delayed puberty. Malnutrition can also delay puberty.

One last thing The فروجهن in 2431 and the فروجهم in 2430 are the genital organs, that is parts of the body whereas the زينتهن in 2431 are not parts of the body They are the jewelry the believing women are wearing. Another difference is that you can reveal your genital organs only to your spouse (236) whereas it is no sin for a believing woman to reveal her jewelry to the people she trusts like her male servant without need.

What is a moral person? Where do moral laws originate from? An original law giver perhaps? There are also natural laws, Who is the law maker/giver? Quote They derive from an ideal of universal divine law that Christianity drew from the Judaic materials from which it sprang. Christianity, to be sure, drew from the ancient Greeks as well. Its identification of universal divine laws with the laws of nature, for instance, comes from the Stoics, chiefly through Cicero (106–43 BC). But the ideas in Christianity that yielded deontological conceptions are found in its understanding of divine laws as the laws of a supreme ruler that bind his subjects to obey him in the way that a covenant with him would bind them. These juristic ideas, which originated in Mosaic law, are the original frame for deontological conceptions. Paul's statement in Romans “When Gentiles who have not the law do by nature what the law requires, they are a law to themselves even though they do not have the law. They show that what the law requires is written on their hearts, while their conscience also bears witness and their conflicting thoughts accuse and perhaps excuse them.” Is there a contradiction in being a moral person and being an atheist at the same time? Or one can claim these laws are written in our heart and conscience- Instinct-. Fitrata Allah LLati Fatara Al Nass ... Peace,

17.1 This hyperbole (ٱلرَّحِيـمِ) is used six times in genitive, and 28 times in nominative construction. At all places, except six adjectival phrases, it is used as Predicate for Allah the Exalted, and by mention in Possessive Phrase "رَبَّكَ" "the Sustainer Lord of you the Messenger....". Since this hyperbole, in indefinite form also is exclusively for Allah the Exalted, but is also attributed and declared once for the person of the elevated universal Messenger Muhammad in Ayah 9128, therefore, we must translate it somewhat differently for both. I have suggested "Ar'Reh'maan - Allah the Exalted is eternally the Fountain of Infinite Mercy"; and for the revered universal Messenger as "icon - personification of mercy". This hyperbole is used for none else. The reason for "icon -personification of mercy" is it وَمَآ أَرْسَلْنَـٟكَ إِلَّا رَحْـمَةٙ لِّلْعَٟلَمِيـنَ .١٠٧ And Our Majesty have not sent you the Messenger Muhammad but for display of mercy personified especially for the known worlds. 17.2 "Mercy - رَحْـمَةٚ" is an abstract noun, verbal noun in Arabic. In English its Semantic Domain is Recognition features of a personality - Mercy; Social interaction evaluation. On line "Frame Index" says "In this frame an Evaluee is judged by a (usually implicit) Judge to be of a certain character based on her or his Behavior towards other human beings; a specific Affected_party may be overtly mentioned along with the Degree to which the Evaluee behaves appropriately towards others. The Behavior alone may be mentioned with the understanding that these behaviors characterize a property of the unmentioned Evaluee. The Evaluee's Behavior may be in the context of a Topic." 17.3 The Works of Mercy are divided into two categories the corporal works of Mercy dealing with the body; and the Spiritual Acts of Mercy dealing with the mind, heart and soul. They say, it symbolically illustrate the seven corporal acts of mercy to feed the hungry, to give drink to the thirsty, to clothe the naked, to give shelter to travellers, to visit the sick, to visit the imprisoned, and to bury the dead. 17.4 It stems from Root ر ح م. Learned Ibn Faris stated it leads to the perception of gentility, gentleness, tenderness, softness, affection, kindness and mercy, clemency and motherliness. 17.5 The exalted universal Messenger Muhammad is the only who is solely and exclusively declared by the Supreme Sovereign of universes as رَحْـمَةٙ لِّلْعَٟلَمِيـنَ in the created realm. Grand Qur’ān is also declared an act of Mercy إِنَّ ٱلَّذِى فَرَضَ عَلَيْكَ ٱلْقُرْءَانَ It is a fact; He the Exalted Who had earmarked-assigned-allocated the (time bound) responsibility of delivery of Qur’ān upon you — لَرَآدُّكَ إِلَـىٰ مَعَادٛۚ He the Exalted will surely (any moment) return/revive you the Messenger Mohammad honourably to the Original Abode (Refer 2875) وَمَا كُنتَ تَرْجُوٓا۟ أَن يُلْقَىٰٓ إِلَيْكَ ٱلْـكِـتَٟبُ Let it be on record that you the Messenger were not in habit of hoping or pursuing in earlier life that the Book might be presented to you. إِلَّا رَحْـمَةٙ مِّن رَّبِّكَۖ However, presenting you the Book (Qur’ān) is but a gesture of grace and blessing earmarked for you by your Sustainer Lord. (see 1787; 2846; 4344 and 446) فَلَا تَكُونَنَّ ظَهيـرٙا لِّلْـكَـٟفِرِينَ .٨٦ Therefore, you should never be the supporter-helper-advocate for those who refuse to accept the Book.

First, there is no mention of Egypt anywhere in the Qoran. Second, your statement Also, the symbolism comes from Egypt where the camel has been a major resource animal for many reasons since antiquity. can only come from an ignorant bigot obsessed with occultism. I DEFY you to bring me evidence of camels domesticated in Egypt before 700 BC. The Egyptians had no use for camels during Biblical times, because their culture was completely agrarian and pastoral. The camel was never an indigenous animal in their land. It was not introduced until much later. The Egyptians moved up and down the Nile on vessels, reaching as far as Ethiopia. Their trade with the Levant relied on caravans pulled by oxen, bulls, or draft horses. They also used ships to trade with other ports in north Africa and Europe. Do you see any drawings or graffiti of camels in the scriptures or on the building walls in Egypt's early history? The answer is NO. So take your occultic Freemason filth elsewhere. It's not welcome here.

Peace.. You misunderstood it totally... Just read it and get what I communicated to you... I explained what actually brought to the heart means... Second point.. I don't need to bring another root word here while we discuss about Qul.. Just you explore what root كلم means.. Brief explanation.. Allah speaks / communicates means what? He has got a message and He delivers it.. And how? Three modes.. Role of communication is to pass the message in whichever way possible? Is that right? God opted and preferred three modes to communicate... If you think written mode is not communication then it is thebmkst weird thought ever... And if you think that root of this word is only oral uttering then it is your own speculation.. Let me ask you a logical question? Does Allah talk to you through Quran or not? Stick to topic pls.. Salam! Brother, there is simply NO EVIDENCE that Quran was revealed to the prophet in WRITTEN MODE. Even there is no proof that Musa was given a Written Book/Tablets. Secondly, Allah DOES NOT SPEAK TO ME through Quran. Peace!

Salam.. I thought of opening a new thread but I found in search this so decided to furnish my view here.. while I read the verse 2941 and reflecting on absolute scientific evidences about spiders, I feel Allah is not talking about spiders' web or rather its house or trap here.. In my view Allah has meant by Bayt as System.. The most fragile of systems is spiders.. In a way everybody has a kind of knowledge that that spiders web is fragile compared to other things animals do build. Needless to enlighten on that.. . System does befit incredibly... Coz the system of spiders is fragile... Females are bigger than male spiders strangely and that's one reason.. And once she delivers baby spiders she devour the male spider.. So system starts to collapse and not consistent .. And then baby spiders eventually eat mother spider... If this scientific research and evidence is ultimate truth then isn't the Bayt /System of spiders the most fragile... Unfortunately we didn't know it but Allah knows and now we are getting to know about it thanks to Allah who exposes ... So.. Considering the above scientific research is factual, let's consider why Allah presented this parable... Yes it was connected to those who associate with Allah others.. How can those who associate be strong while they are fragile and those whome they take to associate are also fragile themselves, be they idols or law or any path.. Since the system of spiders is not constant and deceptive and perishable and fragile, it perfectly befits to those who took association with Allah... A system which is fragile.. That makes so much sense why Allah took spider and its system as parable to compare those who associate... Unbelievable... Peace... My dear fellow believers... When Allah uses an animal in His parable to describe disbelieving people in verses like Spider OR verses like 7176 dogs and their toung or 625 donkey and loaded journey... Just reflect why Allah uses animals... Why dogs put their toungs out or what else donkey know other than carrying loads on a journey... First understand what these animals and why then understand why it was connected with disbelievers and their particular actions... Perhaps science no need to explain if one is familiar with spiders or dogs or donkeys ... Anyway... Just reflect...

That's what I always say if you have noticed in my past threads.. . One word in one verse in one place has only one meaning even it has many meaning in general.. For example one word may appear two times in one verse and it can be taken two different meaning but in one place only one meaning.. That's my strong belief.. Anyway.. That's why I didn't even agree with you regarding Fabayyi alaai Rabbikuma Thukazziban clause.. Let it be one meaning coz it has no difference ...it looks vague for sure.. If taken different meaning..anyway that's different story. Out of seven types of meaning, one is termed contextual meaning. In Sura 57, we can take meanings in the context in which it is repeated.
