salam. when i see a post with long winded explanations of what is essentially simple verses, i become doubtful of the post. allah did not need ten pages of post to give us instruction on how and when to pray. if allah says pray at sunset, then pray at sunset. to claim allah says pray at sunset, and then say pray at 545, is misleading and false. allah says pray at sunset, so be it. to change allah's word, and add 545, is innovation and addition, both of which are prohibited actions with specific punishments from allah. there is wisdom in going only just as far as allah goes, AND NO FURTHER. asking, what does allah mean by this, is described as the comment of an unbeliever. everyone can judge sunset for themselves. if allah says, pray at sunset, i pray at sunset. if a person asks a messenger, how shall i pray, and the messenger tells them, like this pray you, rejecting the messenger is rejecting allah. allah's messenger said, like this pray you, and like this i do pray. can allah consider these long pages of explanation to be addition to his word? yes he can. does allah prohibit adding to his word? yes he does. does allah condemn adding to his word? yes he does. why do people add to the word of allah? allah is the way.

Salaaman Soof, Does not have to be alone, but the focus is that prayer is that it is a personal action and it is not done to please anyone nor to seek approval from others. Yes, thats what, if it is not done to please anyone, then why group / jamaat? If it is not done to seek approval from others, then why group / jamaat? if the focus is that prayer is that it is a personal action, then why not alone? how group? Regards, mmKhan

Peace AnthonyWallace Informative post. I like the simple way you laid it out. It is sometimes better to see things like that just to the point without any extra padding. Your post came across like a science report. Makes sense. Be good. d peace

Peace "thenabi", NOT if we did so independently. Unfortunately this poll does not have the "view results only after having voted" option enabled so the poll is relatively useless as people coulve viewed the results and gotten influenced by the already available votes. GOD Bless!

Peace, Pray dawn and evening at sunset, during twilight. Keep the evening prayers at sunset until it has become completely dark; 11 114, 1778 Get down upon your knees and pray to God, day in and day out. 2238 Salat = prayer with me, end of discussion. Salat is only one part of the true communion. There are only two daily prayers... And 2458 mentions these two by name. However the word communion that is used is what helped me to see the translators vision and come with my conclution. I almost got this topic mastered, but im still studyin thoe.... Peace,

7625 And remember the name of your Lord morning and evening. 7626 And from the night you shall prostrate to Him and praise Him throughout. In 25th verse of the chapter 76 The EXalted God Most Just tells us to remember our Lord. But in the next He tells us to prostrate to Him and praise Him throughout. When you pray you are remembering God... meaning that we pray for Gods rememberance... As He told Moses " Keep up the prayers for My rememberance" We can also glorify our Lord trough prayer...prostartion... praise...ect.... when we do these things we are glorifyin Him. In 7625 He tells us to remember His name mornin an eve ( throgh the prayers ) and in 25 He tells us to prostrate and praise Him... Praise Him can mean " bow down and worship Him, pray, glorify Him, to say "praise be to God" repeatedly, ect..." Hope im makin sence... Peace,

salaam since you have qoted surah 73, here is my personal comprehension (without prejudice, please) O you (s) the burdened one, You correct the night, but a little. It is its half, or a little less. Or increase on it, and ponder without haste. Verily We shall lay before you a weighty word. Verily what comes into existence at night is an intensely internal and more accurate speech. Verily it is for you an excellent glorification during the day, Remember your Lord?s status, and devote yourself exclusively in His service. He is Lord of the concealed and the revealed, there is no God beside Him, therefore you take Him as Confidant. And you (s) be patient about what they are saying, and avoid them gracefully. And leave it to Me, because the deniers are those who enjoy comfortable lives, and you give them a little time. Verily We have fetters with unbearable heat. And food that causes distress, as a punishment of pain. peace jb p.s.; a discussion is welcome, but in civility please.

All I know is that God misguides whom He wills and guides to Him whomever is repenting. This is my way, i invite to God in full disclosure, myself and whever follows me. And glory be to God, and i am not of the who set up partners. Far as a set number of bows and prayers or prostrations, i have no knowledge of such. But i do know that God say to bow and prostrate and pray to Him. Let each find his own method, my focus is on results. So bow as many times as your Lord lets u bow or dont bow at all. And God knows our movemnets and what is in our chests, and He will gather us all together and judge between us in what we dispute. And those who prostrate to God are indeed drawing near to Him. The salat was lost due to idoltry, it wasnt that people didnt salat but the words that they was sayin is what made their salat to be no more than noise and aversion, because they serve, praise, thank, others and hold equals to God in His service i think. So I preach to you one thing, that u stand to God in biformation or uniqily, an then reflect. the question about takin correct info and makin it work i do nt understand. Mr. Wallace

Peace I hope this will give a different view on prayer. When God says we give you the 'oft-recited seven verses' I understand that to mean they will be the most said because they are easy to remember and outline the Qur'an so sublimely but not as the only verses to say in prayer. I use different verses in the Qur'an. I wash myself then I read throught the Qur'an, no particular verses just Suras and at random, my sunset prayer today I read Bowing down in worship and Al-Hijr then I bowed and prostrated whilst praising God among other things. I personally believe there is no set way to pray, but there is a way to pray as Muslims i.e. we are not going to say praise be to a golden cow or I wish for all the good in this world and none in the hereafter because God tells us what happens when we do such things and advises not to do such things (idolatry, hoarding). Apart from what not to do which is covered entirely by the Qur'an that leaves many different ways to pray, the freedom to do so emphasises the meaning of prayer the ONE persons SOLE link DIRECTLY to GOD. As no two men are the same prayer should inheirantly vary WITHIN the guidelines given in the Qur'an, the complete revelation. Peace

Peace be upon you, Very good.. Following sunnah and all that which they do, wont remove our desire to eat the chocolate cake. need to program our behaviour Exactly! Just as this teaching(quran) states....those who purify the nafs(subconcious) succeed, and those who corrupt it fail.

Peace "Bubbles", You said on June 7th Why do you believe the Quran is divinely inspired anyway? If every single word in the Quran is under scrutiny and we cannot be sure what the meanings of certain words are, what reason would I have for believing that the Arabic used in it is beautiful? If Muhammed's history is irrelevant why should I believe that he wasn't a power hungry liar? JK- While the Quran says that Muhammad was sent as a "mercy for mankind" the sira depicts him very differently on various occassions so it is the history of Muhammad from hadith actually which DOES portry a picture of a power hungry man. You just select the good things out of the sira and hide the bad stuff. With this technique one can even turn Hitler into a good man bit it doesnt say anything about his true person. Now we know th hadith doesnt portry the true Muhammad as hes int he Quran. Here look at some of the stuff mostly hidden from new comers to "islam" Ishaq 676 "?You obey a stranger who encourages you to murder for booty. You are greedy men. Is there no honor among you?' Upon hearing those lines Muhammad said, ?Will no one rid me of this woman?' Umayr, a zealous Muslim, decided to execute the Prophet's wishes. That very night he crept into the writer's home while she lay sleeping surrounded by her young children. There was one at her breast. Umayr removed the suckling babe and then plunged his sword into the poet. The next morning in the mosque, Muhammad, who was aware of the assassination, said, ?You have helped Allah and His Apostle.' Umayr said, ?She had five sons; should I feel guilty?' ?No,' the Prophet answered. ?Killing her was as meaningless as two goats butting heads.'" Ishaq 308 "Halfway to Medina, Ocba was called out to be executed." The Prophet said, ?Because of your enmity to Allah and to his Prophet.' ?And my little girl,' cried Ocba in bitterness, ?who will take care of her?' ?Hell Fire,' Muhammad responded. At that moment he was decapitated. ?Wretch that you were, you scoffed at me and claimed that your stories were better than mine. I give thanks that Allah has slain you and comforted me.'" Tabari VIII122/Ishaq515 "The Prophet gave orders concerning Kinanah to Zubayr, saying, ?Torture him until you root out and extract what he has. So Zubayr kindled a fire on Kinanah's chest, twirling it with his firestick until Kinanah was near death. Then the Messenger gave him to Maslamah, who beheaded him." Heres another SAHIH hadith which protrays Muhammad as a deceiver/liar sou YOU are the one who shld actually believe this (Sahih al-Bukhari, Volume 5, Book 59, Number 369) Narrated Jabir bin Abdullah Allah's Apostle said, "Who is willing to kill Ka'b bin Al-Ashraf who has hurt Allah and His Apostle?" Thereupon Muhammad bin Maslama got up saying, "O Allah's Apostle! Would you like that I kill him?" The Prophet said, "Yes," Muhammad bin Maslama said, "Then allow me to say a (false) thing (i.e. to deceive Kab)." The Prophet said, "You may say it." Then Muhammad bin Maslama went to Kab and said, "That man (i.e. Muhammad) demands Sadaqa (i.e. Zakat) from us, and he has troubled us, and I have come to borrow something from you." On that, Kab said, "By Allah, you will get tired of him!" Muhammad bin Maslama said, "Now as we have followed him, we do not want to leave him unless and until we see how his end is going to be. Now we want you to lend us a camel load or two of food." (Some difference between narrators about a camel load or two.) Kab said, "Yes, (I will lend you), but you should mortgage something to me." Muhammad bin Maslama and his companion said, "What do you want?" Ka'b replied, "Mortgage your women to me." They said, "How can we mortgage our women to you and you are the most handsome of the 'Arabs?" Ka'b said, "Then mortgage your sons to me." They said, "How can we mortgage our sons to you? Later they would be abused by the people's saying that so-and-so has been mortgaged for a camel load of food. That would cause us great disgrace, but we will mortgage our arms to you." Muhammad bin Maslama and his companion promised Kab that Muhammad would return to him. He came to Kab at night along with Kab's foster brother, Abu Na'ila. Kab invited them to come into his fort, and then he went down to them. His wife asked him, "Where are you going at this time?" Kab replied, "None but Muhammad bin Maslama and my (foster) brother Abu Na'ila have come." His wife said, "I hear a voice as if dripping blood is from him." Ka'b said, "They are none but my brother Muhammad bin Maslama and my foster brother Abu Naila. A generous man should respond to a call at night even if invited to be killed." Muhammad bin Maslama went with two men. (Some narrators mention the men as 'Abu bin Jabr, Al Harith bin Aus and Abbad bin Bishr). So Muhammad bin Maslama went in together with two men, and said to them, "When Ka'b comes, I will touch his hair and smell it, and when you see that I have got hold of his head, strip him. I will let you smell his head." Kab bin Al-Ashraf came down to them wrapped in his clothes, and diffusing perfume. Muhammad bin Maslama said, "I have never smelt a better scent than this." Ka'b replied, "I have got the best Arab women who knows how to use the high class of perfume." Muhammad bin Maslama requested Ka'b, "Will you allow me to smell your head?" Ka'b said, "Yes." Muhammad smelt it and made his companions smell it as well. Then he requested Ka'b again, "Will you let me (smell your head)?" Ka'b said, "Yes." When Muhammad got a strong hold of him, he said (to his companions), "Get at him!" So they killed him and went to the Prophet and informed him. (Abu Rafi) was killed after Ka'b bin Al-Ashraf. Notice how vile and merciless this depicts a picture of the Prophet but this is not a daeef hadith and for nyou to be consistent youd have to accept it. GOD Bless!

Peace be upon you Alen, Can you translate dua in English, please? Dua = call (prayer) Prayer positions are also well described in the Quran. Are the positions you are talking about related to dua? I am assuming you are talking about sujood, however there is ample proof to show that this is a metaphoric/symbolic message pointing us to something deeper within. FOr example, there is a verse that says "enter the gate prostrating"...if we take this literally, then we will be scrathing our forheads up when entering "gates".....or the verse that says that believers, upon hearing the verses of quran prostrate...that means that ANY TIME you hear the verses of Quran and dont prostrate, you are not a believer, correct? Do you LITERALLY get on the ground EVERYTIME you hear Quran? EVERYTIME? Please think about it seriously and dont hold on to old wornout incorrect tradition. God has something better for you, what was intended for you, but has been corrupted. As far as i can see, prayer is a physical thing. Let's tlak more about it, yes. We shall. ;D

Slam Muslims, According to your comment I convinced that your theory is groundless. If you are the expert one, you will be consented by Muslim. But reason why you sneak you idea on this blog?? Why you don't reveal to the public?? Peace, Respectfully. Blog isn't for sneaking around and posting blindly. There are rules to be followed and even if anybod yhere went public with anything, it is that person's freedom to believe and choose - unless someone issues a fatwa agianst that person.....God forbid. Glory be to God. Peace.
