Peace be upon you all, this is part of my text on salat. Here we have the idea of EVIL and SHAMEFUL DEEDS (al fahishata walmunkar) in more verses to be able to get a better view in the issue at hands. keepin mind that the Book is consistent. .........here is the text; "Recite what has been revealed to you of the Book and aqimis salat, for the salat restrains/prevents from shameful and evil deeds and keeping God in mind is greater and God knows what you do." 2945 I havent checked this verse, but if the highlighted section is correct, it shows that programming of the subconcious(salaat) deals with changing the thoughts...our job is to have God Like thoughts, which lead to correct actions(deeds). This verse tells us that ?as salat? restrains or prevents from shameful and evil deeds?. If we ponder over this statement, we can see that ?as salat? in this context of the sentence refers to an all-time engagement and service based on an accepted attitude and direction of life. But let us not ponder over this verse and throw others behind our backs...we are told that private times are before dawn programming and after dusk programming....If one maintains programming of the subconcious...then the thoughts that flow from that will be perpetual. Let us see the above verse (2945) in the light of the following "O you who have believed, follow not Satan?s footsteps; and he who follows Satan`s footsteps (let them know) that he commands shameful and evil deeds and were it not for God?s grace and mercy, He would not have purified any of you but God purifies who wills and God hears and knows everything." 2421 The footsteps of shayteen refer to following evil thoughts....evil thoughts command evil actions....recall that we say we are with the righteous until we are ALONE with our shayteen, then we say "we are with you, we were only joking". You can only be alone with your thoughts. One is purified(zakaat) through programming of the nafs(purifying the nafs is the key to success). In verse 2945 we read about what prevents from shameful and evil deeds (alfahishata wal munkar). In verse 2421, we read about what leads to doing shameful and evil deeds. This can be summarized as follows Following Satan leads to shameful and evil deeds. (2421) Following God closely (being committed) prevents from shameful and evil deeds. 2945 Following wicked thoughts leads to wicked deeds Programming the subconcious with God Like thoughts prevents wicked thoughts, therefore wicked deeds. Following Satan?s footsteps means to work and live upon his orders. To follow God means to work and live upon His orders. One is ordered by thier thoughts that are thrown up from the subconcious(nafs)

Peace be upon you Real Truth, You were fine in the letter until you got to this point what do you mean "image" of God I mean that we have the same qualities as God, just not the same Quantity. That is what we are here to grow and develop, our God like qualities. I do not mean that God is a white man with a beard, two arms and legs and we all "look" like him, no, by "image" I mean qualities. Just like this reading(quran) states that we were created on God's pattern. )

Hi, I'm new to the forum. While I do agree that we cannot trust certain hadeeth, and that the Qur'an is the only scripture that is completely reliable, I still don't understand what some people on this forum are saying. I heard some of the following 1.) Wudu is unimportant. Or the other version I heard is it doesn't matter how you do it. 2.) Ghusl is a "spiritual" cleansing. 3.) It doesn't matter how you perform Salah. Are you guys sure you're doing the right thing? We shouldn't be as hard-headed and extreme as the folks that take all hadeeth as reliable. For example, I wouldn't drink my glass of water if a fly fell into it, as is suggested by hadeeth, but what is wrong with performing Wudu like it is described in hadeeth? What is wrong with performing Salah like it is described in hadeeth? Don't get me wrong. I really think that many muslims have put way too much emphasis on hadeeth and "scholars", which is what caused so much division in the muslim community, but I do think that there is useful information in hadeeth, and that we can learn from some of them. There is nothing wrong with performing Wudu like the hadeeth say the Prophet (saw) did it. What is the harm in that? Same thing with Salah. The Qur'an doesn't give specific instruction, but does it really make sense that everybody does it in a completely different manner (his own way)? All I'm saying is don't be so narrow-minded like the people you criticise. Secondly, I read someone on this board call himself a Muslim and that person used the expression "GOD DAMN!" when talking about something. I don't think that's a proper thing for a Muslim to say. Anyway, that's my 2 cents. Peace, here is all you need to know about the connection. http//free-minds.org/forum/index.php?topic=9596809.msg173353#msg173353 peace

I am too lazy today but someone might want to investigate the topic on the oT and NT to see what it says if anything about charity and alms giving Alms Alms - Not found in the Old Testament, but repeatedly in the New. The Mosaic legislation (Lev. 2535; Deut. 157) tended to promote a spirit of charity, and to prevent the occurrence of destitution among the people. Such passages as these, Ps. 411; 1129; Prov. 1431; Isa. 102; Amos 27; Jer. 528; Ezek. 2229, would also naturally foster the same benevolent spirit. In the time of our Lord begging was common (Mark 1046; Acts 32). The Pharisees were very ostentatious in their almsgivings (Matt. 62). The spirit by which the Christian ought to be actuated in this duty is set forth in 1 John 317. A regard to the state of the poor and needy is enjoined as a Christian duty (Luke 311; 630; Matt. 61; Acts 936; 102, 4), a duty which was not neglected by the early Christians (Luke 1413; Acts 2035; Gal. 210; Rom. 1525-27; 1 Cor. 161-4). They cared not only for the poor among themselves, but contributed also to the necessities of those at a distance (Acts 1129; 2417; 2 Cor. 912). Our Lord and his attendants showed an example also in this (John 1329). In modern times the "poor-laws" have introduced an element which modifies considerably the form in which we may discharge this Christian duty. Peace be upon you, This is Jumal according to Quran. When/were do we assemble for salat? Who says we have to assemble? The verse says that when it is time for salaat and you are assembeled, you must still maintain the salaat. The verse does not say you must assemble. Realize that there are people who know the truth and as long as you are kept in his corruption of God's message, they can control you. Again, there is no command to assemble, it is only warning you that when you are by yourself it is easy to salaat, but when you are in a group like at work or with friends at a party, etc....you find more reasons to put it off, but dont do that. O you who believe, werever/whenever the prayers are called to on the holy day Friday, then run quickly towards Gods rememberance, and leave the doing buisness. That is best for you, if you are able. So, whenever the prayers are finished, then disperse in the land; and desire from Gods blessing. And mention God much, you might be succesful. What time is the cogregational salat on Friday? Jumah does not indicate a day of the week, it means "assembly"....so again, God is not saying that there is a meeting on fridays, God is saying even when assembled(jumah), you must stop and maintain salaat, wether by yourself or on a group, doesnt matter. 11114 And keep the salat on the sides of the day. On parts touching upon the night, not far from the night. Thus, the righteousness cancels the sins. This is a reminder to the praising. 1778 Keep the salat on the verge of sunset untill the nights blakness; and the dawn Quran. The dawn quran has been made official. Salaat times are dawn and dusk, when day merges night and night merges day.
  • Convincing proof of only 2 salat (dawn and dusk) !

Peace be upon you, call on God dont mean pray only. Sure it does, what else would it mean to call on God besides prayer. just like salat dont mean pray only. Salaat doesnt mean prayer at all, thats the point. No two words are used for the same thing in this message. Salaat means "programming", and it is the programming of your subconcious which dictates your behavior, and this is what it is all about, changing your behavior, the way you respond to events in your life. So why is it o.k. to translate "call" as "pray" but not connection as prayer? I am not translating connection as anything, I am translating salaat as "programming". Programming is the key, what good is prayer if you dont change? Prayer only helps you focus, the real WORK is in "salaat", the programming of your Nafs(subconcious). We have to leave these old ideas we have been taught behind and realize that many peole have got it wrong, and dont be scared to leave what your fathers followed to embrace the true message.
