If he wants to give an explanation in his own opinion then he can give it elsewhere. The Quran is clear and detailed. I'm sure God didn't miss anything out.

elsewhere? thats why he uses brackets.

which translation on earth is not the opinion of the translator? or you want everyone to learn arabic and read and understand quran in its own language?

I'm just talking about the brackets. He can translate words however he likes but there is no need too add stuff. Especially that much!
Didn't you say God answers prayers faster when you pray to Him in Arabic? They might as well learn Arabic then right?

I was being sarcastic. You didn't answer my question on the other thread. Why does it take longer for God to answer prayers that are not in arabic? Does He need time to flick through His bilingual dictionaries?

he is way better then 19ers atleast.

You have not a clue how wrong this statement of yours is.

Just to use one example, he (as well as other sunni interpreters) translate the punishment for theft to be "cut off their hands from the wrist joint."

While anyone who is a righteous observer of the Quran will know, that "Aqta'u idayhum" means CUT their hands, not cut off their hands. In addition to this, elsewhere in the Quran the admirers (fangirls) of prophet Yusuf cut their hands (same arabic pronounciation) because they thought he was an angel (or hot...lol). They quite obviously did not severe themselves in the process.

Sub.org deciphers the correct translation from Quranic knowledge, and not from hadith. It's also quite interesting that the same sunnis who translate 538, translate 1250 to the women "cut their hands" and not "cut off" despite the fact the pronounciations in both verse are exactly the same. They are sad hypocrites.

Free-minds at least uses common sense when it comes to translating the Quran, however when it comes to 538 their understanding of Quran < submission.org's.

                  Yeah that sucks...

Anyway, has anyone read Mohsin Khan's version of 2431? rotfl rotfl

"And tell the believing women to lower their gaze (from looking at forbidden things), and protect their private parts (from illegal sexual acts) and not to show off their adornment except only that which is apparent (like both eyes for necessity to see the way, or outer palms of hands or one eye or dress like veil, gloves, head-cover, apron, etc.), and to draw their veils all over Juyubihinna (i.e. their bodies, faces, necks and bosoms) and not to reveal their adornment except to their husbands, or their fathers, or their husband's fathers, or their sons, or their husband's sons, or their brothers or their brother's sons, or their sister's sons, or their (Muslim) women (i.e. their sisters in Islam), or the (female) slaves whom their right hands possess, or old male servants who lack vigour, or small children who have no sense of feminine sex. And let them not stamp their feet so as to reveal what they hide of their adornment. And all of you beg allah to forgive you all, O believers, that you may be successful."

As far as I'm concerned...this is not even in accordance to the hadith (which gives women the persmission to show their hands and faces)!

The Hilali/Khan translation is the worst translation of the Quran that I have ever seen. They add so many things in brackets with "ie." to put a Hadithist interpretation of the Quran elektro

I am no longer a Sunna-rejecter. See 4:59-65, 62:2-4, 3:31, 4:156, 7:157 Messenger teaches and is to be followed and obeyed. Examples of revelation received which is not in the Qur'an: 3:123-126, 33:37, 2:187, 66:3, 62:9.

Video shows a woman, a nun and a ninja laugh

I find it funny the commenters on the video calls Sonya Khan "ignorant" when the nun (Sammayah Hussein) ignorantly claimed the Quran commands women to "wear the hijab (or cover your heads) rotfl" which she did right before the host corrected her from reading a rather authentic translation of the Quranic verse. Maybe the nun is really a Christian following Christian practices found in the hadith. )

CHAPTER 24 HIJAAB ? ANOTHER FALSEHOOD COPIED FROM THE CHRISTIAN BIBLE

There is absolutely no mention of head cover for women or men in any verse in the Quran.

WHERE DOES THE HEAD COVER FOR WOMEN REALLY COME FROM ?

Now we will solve the mystery of where the ulema plagiarized the idea of the head cover for women. Here it is

                          Bible, 1st Corinthians 11
And every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head?it is just as though her head were shaved. 6If a woman does not cover her head, she should have her hair cut off; and if it is a disgrace for a woman to have her hair cut or shaved off, she should cover her head.

Judge for yourselves Is it proper for a woman to pray to GOD with her head uncovered?

The idea that a woman shall cover her head especially when she is ?praying? is stolen from the Christian Bible. That is why until today the best head cover is worn by the Catholic nuns. Remember the late Mother Theresa and her Christian nuns ? Where did Mother Theresa learn to wear the head cover ? Obviously not from the ulema. She learnt it from her Bible. And as we all know the Bible came long before the ulema.

The ulema have plagiarized material from the Bible and tried to pass it off as ?hadith Bukhari? and other such fake stories.

I also find it wierd that I'm 20 years old yet I seem to have clearer understanding of what submission to God really is than people who are older than me.

But ya know...God is the most knowledgeable anyway...

lol here's what a sunni in a youtube video said once

"Women are forbidden to drive cars because if they do their hands will be exposed"

This is one of the stupid ass reasons many sunnis think women should not drive cars.

So, in the above case the hands are doing nothing but gripping a steering wheel...

To them it does not matter what the hands are doing. They're just following hadith plagiarized from the bible passed on as "prophet Muhammad's teachings." In fact I'm putting this in my sig even though it's from me. )

lol here's what a sunni in a youtube video said once

"Women are forbidden to drive cars because if they do their hands will be exposed"

This is one of the stupid ass reasons many sunnis think women should not drive cars.

So, in the above case the hands are doing nothing but gripping a steering wheel...

To them it does not matter what the hands are doing. They're just following hadith plagiarized from the bible passed on as "prophet Muhammad's teachings." In fact I'm putting this in my sig even though it's from me. )

rotfl Thy must be mad, or very sexually depraved.
