When you divorce women, and they fulfil the term of their ('Iddat), either take them back on equitable terms or set them free on equitable terms; but do not take them back to injure them, (or) to take undue advantage; if any one does that; He wrongs his own soul. Do not treat Allah's Signs as a jest / joke, but solemnly rehearse Allah's favours on you, and the fact that He sent down to you the Book and Wisdom, for your instruction. And fear Allah, and know that Allah is well acquainted with all things.

If you are implying that I take Allah's ayaat as jokes, let me clarify that it is not the ayaat that are laughable but your comments and interpretations which you can't even respond to when asked about.

In fact, I host a room on www.paltalk.com 'Quran Says No Polygamy No Polygyny No Pimping'

Are you equating nikah with pimping here? If so, how is "pimping" one wife ok, and "pimping" more than one wife not ok?

prophet Mohammad pbuh had more than one wife because almost every occasion when the wives are being addressed, it is in plural. (Azwaj is being used Not zoaj)

        siki

        Peace,

Yes, I have also notice that.

          wa alaikum salam,

But I am sorry to say it but I cannot see what you see in that verse( 3337) God explain that believers can marry the wives of their adopted sons.
what does that have to do with marry one female?

          Maria

Im sorry 'adopted son' is NOT in the arabic of that ayah. The translator is incorrect and misleading.

Al Mawrid (page 544) Da?ee (ain) / with alif maqsuwr meaning adopted son or child; Al-Maqsur is a fully declinable noun ending in a necessary alif. Reference al-Nahw al-Wafiy

The word is adAAiya-ihim Verb Form IV, which means take legal action against, institute legal proceedings against, pretense, allegation, litigation, prosecution, suit, lawsuit

O those who believe in the Prophet / Ya ayyuha alnnabiyyu ! We have made lawful to you thy wives / 'Azwjaka

            Ya Nominative Case

?Ya? used to express feelings or affection towards someone or something when followed by a verbal noun or Nominative Case.
Language of the Holy Quran, page 400

'Azwjaka from the root word Zaja ?to marry anyone to, couple anything with, pair, mingle; 'Azwjihim means pairs, spouses

The ayah is defining prohibitions as it relates to women, to everyone, including the Prophet. The ayah says nothing about 'Prophets Wives', in plurality.

Muhammed,as followed and adhered to the message and example of the previous prophets, the ayah is instructing the Prophet also NOT speaking about his wives.

I believe that would be the gay community, or those who are at war (well the men going to war, not the men and women warring against each other - then again...), or those who are undertaking a combat tournament.

              Gay communities' got wives?

Both words Nisa and Awaj are not used for prophet's wife. Moreover, why does Lord need to address people individually or personally. The purpose of this book is to give general laws of guidance applicable for all times. So why he need to address wifes individually. Furthermore, this is coming from the Lord who is originator of every thing. How come an originator with all encompassing knowledge will act in a reactive manner. The laws are same for ever.

                    Excellent point Badar....

We have not instructed the (Prophet) in Poetry, NOR IS IT MEANT FOR HIM. this is no less than a Message and a Qur'an making things clear.

That it may give admonition to any (who are) alive / hayyan, and that the charge may be proved against those who reject (Truth).

                      Read Quran in context...

3328-32 You, you the prophet, say to your wives (li-azwajika) "If you were wanting the life the present/worldly life and its decoration/beauty, so come, I make you enjoy, I free you, divorce/freeing gracefully (peaceful/quiet)." And if you were wanting God and His messenger, and the end's (other life's) house/home, so then God prepared to the good doers from you a great reward. You, the prophet's women/wives (nisaa), who commits from you with an evident atrocious deed, the punishment be doubled for her two doubles, and that is on God easy/little. And who from you obeys humbly to God and His messenger and does righteous deeds, We give her reward twice, and We prepared for her an generous provision. You, the prophet's women/wives (nisaa), you are not as anyone from the women (alnnisa). If you keep your duty, then be not soft in speech, lest he in whose heart is a disease should be moved with desire, but speak in an honorable manner.

3353 You, you those who believe, do not enter the prophet's houses except that (it) be permitted to you, not waiting to (for) food at it, and but if you were invited so enter, so if you ate so spread out (disperse), and not seeing (expecting) to an speech (conversation), that, that was harming mildly the prophet, so he feels shy from you, and God does not shame from the truth, and if you asked them (for) belongings, so ask them from behind a partition, that is purer to your hearts/minds and their hearts/minds, and (it) was not for you that you harm mildly God's messenger, and nor that you marry his wives (azwajahu) from after him ever, that truly that was at God great.

Kindly, at least bother to read the BOOK, before you type in such sweeping statements. Here is where God thought it be appropriate to adress prophet's wives.

33-59 O Prophet! say to your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers that they let down upon them their over-garments; this will be more proper, that they may be known, and thus they will not be given trouble; and Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.

Sis Maria, indeed sincerity of heart and mind is the prime prerequisite for understanding the book.
One thing should be clear that the exalted prophet could not and did not marry anybody after been bestowed with prophethood, as this would have been clear violation of the very message he was going to preach. I will try to explore from Alkitab if we can answer how many wifes he had?

                              Badar

It is better to explore first, because otherwise you are Most likely to mislead the innocent minds around. He was told at a certain stage, that NO MORE, but not stopped after prophet hood.

33-50 O Prophet! surely We have made lawful to you your wives whom you have given their dowries, and those whom your right hand possesses out of those whom Allah has given to you as prisoners of war, and the daughters of your paternal uncles and the daughters of your paternal aunts, and the daughters of your maternal uncles and the daughters of your maternal aunts who fled with you; and a believing woman if she gave herself to the Prophet, if the Prophet desired to marry her -- specially for you, not for the (rest of) believers; We know what We have ordained for them concerning their wives and those whom their right hands possess in order that no blame may attach to you; and Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.

                                          Salaam,
I have voted for "as one as one can manage" and remember that managing means, be there for her as her husband in all walks of life, supporting her financially and sexually as well as companionably, strong enough to provide for her needs....any example there? angel
Not like wealthy Arabs who can only give their wives enough money to shop and are unable to satisfy them, thus leaving many sexually frustrated.
                                          peace
