    Peace everyone,

2277 Those who believe and do good works (3amiloo al-ssaalihaati), and uphold the connection/salaat, and contribute towards betterment/zakaat; they will have their rewards with their Lord and there is no fear over them nor will they grieve.

Here salaat and zakaat are mentioned separately from 3amal salih, so does that mean that salaat and zakaat are different from 3amal salih? Maybe there is a cause/effect relationship between salaat/zakaat and "3amal salih"?

i.e. salaat/zakaat will always lead to 3amal salih if done properly.

26227 Except for those who believe, and do good works, and remember God greatly, and were victorious after they were wronged. As for those who did wrong, they will know which fate they will meet.

Here again, 3amal salih is mentioned separately from remembering God, so remembering God is also different from 3amal saleh, with a cause/effect relationship

Remembring God leads to 3amal saleh.

3amal salih is anything that when done, benefits one's soul (in the life hereafter) and does not harm one's soul (4146, 4515 and numerous other verses where we are told that those who believe and do good works will have nothing to fear in the life hereafter)

      Peace all,
I agree with your analysis; Rituals, such Salah and Fasting, benefits ones's Soul; thus, they are deeds that correct our Souls--Salah for our Souls. If we act upon, it will lead us to deeds that will correct our Socity--Salah for our Society.

From all instances I have studied of it, I would render it as "corrective action"...

      peace

If you want to correct yourself (YuSalah yourself), then Rituals are the way to do. Fasting and Praying are Amel Salah, because it Fix and correct our well-being, as humans.

Agree if you change the underlined, bold to "if". That's what I meant by

All 3amal Salih can mean "salat" as in competing and progressing.

        "corrective action"...

        Precisely peace

And that is how you wanted it

          A question

Do you believe that Rituals fix ones' Souls?
          Straight answer, Please.

When it comes to trusting someone Would you trust that person who is confident that no one is watching over him? One who believes only in is this world, discarding the hereafter and God and proclaims that we should avoid harm and do good and avoid wars and not be racist and give rights to everyone and who has a top job and denies himself nothing, whilst remaining popular with all ?

I would trust someone who does good, is fair, helper, always there when in need, honest, does what he proclaims, but does not believe in the existance of a god, but will not trust somene who believes in the existance of God, prays 5Xday, fasts, goes to hajj regularly and believes he stoned the devil and washed off all his sins which will restart once he is back and so he is dishonest, liar, greedy, unhelpful...until the next hajj, God willing.
I know people of both categories and that's how I deal with them re trust.

Only an idiot would trust one who is dishonest, liar, greedy, unhelpful and then goes on to stone the devil, but I would rather trust the one who believes in being answerable to God than the one who doesn't and I too had encounter with both category.

When discussing amal salih it is very important to distinguish it from hypocrisy

Why would an atheist be bound into behaving that way? An atheist believes they can do whatever they wish. It just so happens they need to appear honest, fair etc. in order for people to like them. If people thought being dishonest, unfair etc. were "good" traits then the atheist would probably be that. They don't believe they have to account for their behavior in the hereafter namely because they don't believe in a hereafter.

This comes with the experience of being repeatedly betrayed. ;D

Whether they believe they are accountable to God or not does not concern me. This is their own problem with God. Why they are honest does not concern me either as long as they are truely honest. Or do I have to search into the inetentions of people? And what's wrong in behaving well so that people love them?

There is a potential problem. What happens if being "truely honest" and behaving well made people "hate" them. Can their superficial belief in morality stand that test? How far away is an atheist from committing an atrocity if they were not bound by law and humanities unspoken social contract.

Iblis was not atheist, and he believed he would be held accountable to God. Should I trust him?
