4912 O you who believe, you shall avoid much suspicion, for some suspicion is sinful. And do not spy on one another, nor shall you backbite. Would any of you enjoy eating the flesh of his dead brother? You certainly would hate this. You shall observe God. God is Redeemer, Merciful.

God will sort out the hypocrites.

Then why are you so suspicious about the character of atheists? Do you really care what God says my dear friend. And why you accuse all atheists as hypocrites if you fear you would be held accountable for your deeds? Do you suggest atheists do not raise and love children, do not love their husband/ wives but just pretend in order to look nice? do not care about their friends relatives their societies? If that's what you suggest then you should think again. God Bless.

    1424-25
Do you not see that GOD has cited the example of the good word as a good tree whose root is firmly fixed, and its branches are high in the sky? It produces its crop every season, as designed by its Lord. GOD thus cites the examples for the people, that they may take heed.

1033 Except those who believe, and do good works, and support one another with the truth, and support one another with perseverance.

Where's believing in the existance of God and in being held accountable to Him?
For (whom to be called believer, see 494)

Oh no, not me. I am immune from such misplaced trust, because I do not put believing in the existance of God and believing in being accountable to Him as preconditions for trusting people..

One of us is living in a cuckoo?s land who does not know the difference between the acquaintance and truly trusted friends.

The opposite of those who betrayed you

I never said I took non believers to be my trusted friends it is you who has the company of the"truly trusted friends".

I used to call myself an athiest. But in reality I did not think too hard about my beliefs. Thats what I think is the case with some so called athiests. They have not thought about the implications. Once you really sit down and think about your beliefs and ask yourself whats stopping you from committing sin (I saw that nothing could stop me, not my family, friends etc.) you will realize that you have a choice to engage in evil. But you also have the choice to find good in this world and believe/support it. This choice you make is vital

921 By the night when it covers.
922 And the day when it appears.
923 And He created the male and female.
            924 Your works are various.
925 As for he who gives and is righteous.
            926 And trusts in goodness.
927 We will make the easy path for him.
928 And as for he who is stingy and holds back.
            929 And denies goodness.
9210 We will make the difficult path for him.
9211 And his wealth will not avail him when he demises.
9212 It is upon Us to guide.
9213 And to Us is the end and the beginning.
9214 I have warned you of a Fire that blazes.
9215 None shall have it but the wicked.
9216 The one who denies and turns away.
9217 As for the righteous, he will be spared it.
9218 The one who gives his money to develop with.
            9219 Seeking nothing in return.
9220 Except the face of His Lord, the Most High.
9221 And he will be satisfied.

God is a vital part of the equation. Because he is the one who makes the choice really matter. If there is no God, there is no reason.

I think the problem of some people is that they try to define who will go to hell and who will go to paradise and then work backward to define who we should befriend or trust. But God says

"O you who believe! When you walk/travel in the cause of God, verify, and do not say to those who throw peace to you "you are not mu'mins", seeking the the perishable goods of the worldly life..."494

I thought it was you who started the subject of trust which aroused my interest, so it could be that you are in the process of going backward to justify your friend?s beliefs in no hell.
According to your interpretation of 449 your "non believing" friends are momins ???

What we should be concerned with is how peaceful people are and how concerend they are about our welfare. Beyond this is not our concern. We will be tresspassing our limits and seeking perishable goods of this worldly life.

As long as I am all right mate that's all that matters yeah

Once you feel your life it as at an end. And you realize you did not serve God.

                      1021 Hoarding has distracted you.
1022 Until you visit the graves.
1023 No, you will find out.
1024 Then again, you will find out.
1025 No, if only you had the knowledge of certainty.
1026 You would then see Hell.
1027 Then you will see it with the eye of certainty.
1028 Then you will be questioned, on that Day, about the blessings.

                        Of course.
I hope you do not believe that I care less about God, but that's my own business and no one else's. Equally, other people's belief is not my business, because I am not in a position to know what's in their hearts, except in as much as they do not harm me nor do they harm the others.

Some people don't do salat properly. So it won't have that effect.

And is there any way you or me know that, excep to see if they still commit sins and do bad deeds? Then we are back to square one deeds and not belief is what we should be concerned with.

Thats the point RasulHamsa, thats what I meant that atheists do not think of the implications. Once you think of the implications and realize nothing is stopping you from marrying your sister (your example) then if you still have no problem with being an atheist you are evil.

I believe that God eventually gives everyone a choice and knowledge of the implications. Then you can see a persons true character.

What about intention? Would you punish a child who was trying to do good but their deed backfired? What about the corrupt sociopath who does good deeds to earn peoples respect? Would you say deeds are still all that count.

Courts don't know people's intentions. But God does and he will punish them.

1445 And you resided in the homes of those who had wronged themselves, and it was made clear to you what We did to them; and We had put forth the examples to you.
1446 And they schemed their scheming, and their scheming is known to God; and their scheming was enough to make the mountains cease to exist.

112 ?That you shall serve none other than God. I am to you from Him a warner and a bearer of good news.?
113 ?And seek forgiveness from your Lord, then repent to Him; He will make you enjoy an enjoyment until a predetermined period. And He gives His grace to those who are of grace. And if you turn away, then I do fear for you the retribution of a great day!?
114 ?To God is your return, and He is capable of all things.?
115 Alas, they folded their chests to hide from it. Even when they hide themselves under their outer garments, He knows what they keep secret and what they declare. He is the knower of all that is in the chests.

461 And if they are told ?Come to what God has sent down and to the messenger,? you see the hypocrites turning away from you strongly.
462 Why then, when a tragedy befalls them for what their hands have brought forth do they come to you swearing by God that they only wanted to do good and reconcile?
463 These are a people whom God knows what is in their hearts, so turn away from them and advise them, and speak to their souls with a clear saying.

3154 Then He sent down to you after the worry sanctity in sleepiness, it overtook a group of you; and another group was worried about themselves, they were thinking about God other than the truth, the thoughts of the days of ignorance. They say ?Why are we involved in this affair?? Say ?The entire affair is for God.? They hide in their souls what they do not show to you, they say ?If we had a say in this affair then none of us would have been killed here.? Say ?If you were inside your own homes, then the ones who have been marked for death would have gone forth to their resting place.? God will test what is in your chests and bring out what is in your hearts. God is Knowledgeable as to what is in the chests

964 The hypocrites fear that a chapter will be sent down which will expose what is in their hearts. Say ?Mock, for God will bring out what you fear.

5712 The Day will come when you see the believing men and the believing women with their light radiating around them and to their right. ?Good news is yours today, you will have paradises with flowing rivers, abiding therein. This is the great triumph!?
5713 On that Day, the hypocrite men and the hypocrite women will say to those who believed ?Wait for us! Let us absorb some of your light.? It will be said ?Go back behind you, and seek light.? So a barrier will be put forth between them, whose gate separates mercy on the inner side, from retribution on the outer side.
5714 They will call upon them ?Were we not with you?? They will reply ?Yes, but you led yourselves into temptation, and you hesitated, and doubted, and became misled by wishful thinking, until God's judgment came. You were diverted from God by arrogance.?
5715 ?This Day, no ransom can be taken from you, nor from those who disbelieved. Your abode is the Fire, it is your patron; what a miserable abode.?
5716 Has not the time come for those who believed to open up their hearts for the remembrance of God, and the truth that is revealed herein? And they should not be like those who were given the Scripture before, and the waiting became long for them, so their hearts became hardened, and many of them were wicked.

Courts don't know people's intentions. But God does and he will punish them.

Well done! So people's intentions are not our business, but God's.
