Do you believe that Rituals fix ones' Souls?
    Straight answer, Please.

    Samia said
My answer Would you trust anyone just because you see them pray? Fast? Pray and fast?

Then, are you saying that Prayer and fasting are useless?

    So, why God ordered it

    (&#65279
Enjoin prayer on thy people, and be constant therein. We ask thee not to provide sustenance We provide it for thee. But the (fruit of) the Hereafter is for Righteousness. (20-132)

Prayer and Fasting and any other Rituals beniefits the True Submitters. now, if a Moshreek prays and Fasts, would he be benifited from Rituals?
Therefore, you can not say that Prayer and Fasting are useless for our Souls.

Iblis was not atheist, and he believed he would be held accountable to God. Should I trust him?

No, because he rejected God, and disobeyed him. The best people to trust are believers who fear God and don't disobey him.

So believing in the existance of God and believing in being held accountable to Him are not the safeguard to being good and trustworthy?

Hypocrites and atheists are both in error. If you want to see good examples of believers just read the Quran.

It?s your choice if you want to trust Iblis, knowing that he has taken special leave from God to mislead you.

I know people who don't have sex out of wedlock, don't take drugs or drink. Who pray and read the Quran regularly. Who are honest. Not because their family are believers, but just because they believe. In fact in some peoples situations their family/friends encourage them to sin more.

Oh no, not me. I am immune from such misplaced trust, because I do not put believing in the existance of God and believing in being accountable to Him as preconditions for trusting people.

5332 They avoid major sins and lewdness, except for minor offences. Your Lord is with vast forgiveness. He has been fully aware of you since He initiated you from the Earth, and while you were embryos in your mothers wombs. Therefore, do not acclaim yourselves; He is fully aware of the righteous.

God's mercy is what keeps the believers trying to better themselves even after they sin.

Maybe you have to do salat properly for it to have that effect.

1074 So woe to those who commune,
1075 But to their communion they are absent minded

Some people don't do salat properly. So it won't have that effect.

I think the problem of some people is that they try to define who will go to hell and who will go to paradise and then work backward to define who we should befriend or trust. But God says

"O you who believe! When you walk/travel in the cause of God, verify, and do not say to those who throw peace to you "you are not mu'mins", seeking the the perishable goods of the worldly life..."494

What we should be concerned with is how peaceful people are and how concerend they are about our welfare. Beyond this is not our concern. We will be tresspassing our limits and seeking perishable goods of this worldly life.

I would prefer to befriend people who will strengthen my faith and encourage me to do good.

1033 Except those who believe, and do good works, and support one another with the truth, and support one another with perseverance.

Not those who call my God a fairy tale and say doing good deeds has no effect in the hereafter (because quite frankly, if it was about this material earth alone, I would rather not do good and just enjoy myself while I can). But you are right, we should not be rude to them and treat everyone with justice.
