    what a joke .

First of all this was before Islam .

i thought Solomon was Muslim too? According to God he was but is there some hadith saying he wasnt? If he was then it wasnt 'before Islam'

second of all Sheba wasn't the leader for the rest of his life .Because Solayman has came and he take the leadership.
Sheba was a place wasnt it? it had a ruler who was a woman, called the Queen of Sheba. Did you think Sheba was a man? ???

third of all she was a Mushrika after Islam and their people as well and we know that al-Mushriq can do everything against his instinct . ( &#1618
so islam came in the middle of all this? ??? Read chapter 27, she was Muslim.

fourth of all You don't know his story and she wasn't a leader, she was the Queen. Is the Queen in UK leads uk ? rotfl
yes. She is the end authority in Laws and running and ruling the country and has a Parliament to do the donkey work.

No, it matters .And the God didn't praise her for her leadership or whatever you stated, Prove that .

A queen is a leader by default. She ruled over her people, made important decisions, had authority. That IS leadership.

I don't need to "prove" anything, it's right there in the Qur'an. God presents her in this story as a wise, powerful and spiritual person. That IS praising. Maybe you need to brush up on your English, you seem to have a problem with the definition of many terms that are quite clear to anyone else.

And Solomon's soldiers were gathered, comprising of humans and Jinn and birds, for they were to be spread out.

Until they came to a valley of ants, a female ant said "O ants, enter your homes else you will be crushed by Solomon and his soldiers while they do not notice."

He then smiled, amused by what she said. And he said "My Lord, help me to be thankful for the blessings You have bestowed upon me and upon my parents, and that I may do good work that pleases You, and admit me by Your Mercy with Your righteous servants."

And he inspected the birds, then said "Why do I not see the hoopoe, or is he among those absent?"
"I will punish him severely, or I will kill him, else he should have a clear excuse."

But the hoopoe did not stay away long, then he said "I have seen what you do not know, and I have come to you from Sheba with news which is certain."

"I found them ruled by a woman, and she was given all possession, and she had a great throne."

"And I found her and her people prostrating to the sun instead of God! And the devil had made their work appear good to them, so he kept them away from the path, for they are not being guided."

"Will they not prostrate to God who brings out what is hidden in the heavens and the Earth, and He knows what you hide and what you declare?"

"God, there is no god but He, the Lord of the great throne."

He said "We will see if you are being truthful or are one of those who lie."
"Take this letter of mine and deliver it to them, then withdraw from them and observe what they respond with."

She said "O commanders, a noble letter has been delivered to me."
"It is from Solomon, and it reads "In the name of God, the Almighty, the Merciful""
""Do not be arrogant toward me and come to me as submitters""

She said "O commanders, advise me in this matter of mine, for I will not take a decision until you give testimony."

They said "We are people of strength and mighty in power. But the decision is yours, so see what you will command."

She said "When the kings enter a town they destroy it and make its most noble people humiliated. It is such that they do."

"And I will send to them a gift, then I will see with what the messengers will return."

So when they came to Solomon he said "Are you providing me with wealth? What God has provided for me is far better than what He has given you. Now you are happy with your gift!"
"Return to them. For we shall come to them with soldiers the like of which they have never seen, and we will drive them out humiliated, while they are feeble."

He said "O commanders, which of you can bring me her throne before they come to me in submission?"

A powerful being from among the Jinn said "I will bring it to you before you rise from your station. For I am strong and trustworthy."

And one who had knowledge from the Scripture said "I will bring it to you before you blink." So when he saw it resting before him, he said "This is from the grace of my Lord, so that He tests me whether I am thankful or whether I reject. As for he who is thankful, he is thankful for himself, and as for he who rejects, then my Lord is Rich, Bountiful."

He said "Disguise her throne so we may see if she will be guided or if she will be of those who are not guided."

So when she came, it was said "Is your throne like this?" She said "It appears to be similar." And we were given knowledge before her, and we had submitted.

And she was prevented by that which she served besides God. She was of the people who were rejecters.

It was said to her "Enter the palace." So when she saw it she thought there was a pool, and she uncovered her legs. He said "It is a palace paved with crystal." She said "My Lord, I have wronged myself; and I submit with Solomon to God, the Lord of the worlds."

I'm a touch-typist and I do write fast, but that was a copy and paste. peace

I remember how fascinated I was when I read that story for the first time. Strangely, all those scholars who keep waffling on about women not being fit for leadership because of that hadith by Abu Bakra, never even mention her existence and prefer to ignore the story altogether.
        hmm

neither both are correct , God just stated what she said, and she was really wise .He doesn't praise her and he doesn't present her .

              Excuse me? ???

Yes, I said God praises her for her leadership qualities and he presents her as being wise. In fact, I wrote this like two or three times in this thread. I have not taken back any of that. The verses are there for anyone to see.

Now where is the verse that says she had to hand over her throne to Sulayman after becoming Muslim???

how do you define his saying that she submits with solayman ?

She says she submits with Sulayman to the Lord of the Worlds. She does not say she submits to Sulayman or gives up her throne to him.

2732 She said, "O my advisers, counsel me in this matter. I am not deciding anything until you advise me.

I said "before Islam" about leadership. the leadership of woman at that time was valid for people because they were ignorance and they were Mushriqine and satan makes these things normal for them .

when we mention Sheba basically we're talking about the woman, her name is "Bal-kiss" . ah I found a question the name of this woman is mentioned in hadith, and history tells us that the woman that was leading this people was in Yaman and his name is the same name that mentioned in hadith. so where this information come from ?

so islam came in the middle of all this? ??? Read chapter 27, she was Muslim.

She was not Muslim, she is a convert, she was worshipping the sun. you should read the verse not me .

So only mushriqeen and people influenced by satan would appoint a woman as their leader? Which verse mentions that?

She was not Muslim, she is a convert, she was worshipping the sun. you should read the verse not me .

Yes, she was a convert, like the first Muslims ... they were all converts. Anything wrong with that?
The story ends with her becoming a Muslim, no mentioning of her having to give up her position of leadership at all.

The word in Arabic is "Saba'a" and the Queen of this place is called ' Balkisse" the story.

I think most of us are aware of this. It doesn't play a role in regards to what we are discussing here though.

. And Hadith has more details about the story . Do you know why she showed up her legs ?

You don't need ahadeeth for that. The Qur'an tells us about this.

But you are trying to divert from the subject. Why she showed her legs is irrelevant.

No I think its more your poor knowledge and lack of understanding that makes you think you said one thing but you actually said the opposite, you do it quite a lot.

you didnt answer my question yet. I know the word in Arabic but I am writing in English, no point in tossing in the odd Arabic word when there is an English one is there.

She was Mushrika read the verses . This is Quran , why I want to lie ?
You want to lie to deceive people, but we see through that. Yes this is Quran and she was Muslim AFTER Islam, you said she was mushrika AFTER Islam, she wasnt, you lied, you read it again.

No, not me who should read the verses .
I think you should or you will continue giving wrong information about this.

No, is what I see in Tv and what I read from newspapers in net .

ahh then it must be true.

So only mushriqeen and people influenced by satan would appoint a woman as their leader? Which verse mentions that?

You want to understand this way . Try to read the verse and look for the translation

                                  1. "I found a woman ruling over them she has been given all things that could be possessed by any ruler of the earth, and she has a great throne.
                                  2. "I found her and her people worshipping the sun instead of All?h, and Shait?n (Satan) has made their deeds fair-seeming to them, and has barred them from (All?h?s) Way so they have no guidance."

look carefuly (I found a woman ruling over them, this shows that the bird was very surprised because he knows that the leadership is not for woman, this is the instinct (Fitrah) , the verse in Arabic described how the bird was surprised)

the second thing (she has been given all things that could be possessed by any ruler of the earth= and here the bird is talking about kings not Queen because there was no queen before or in the time of existence of Solayman ).

And after stating the woman and what she worshiped with her people, then with gathering all these things mentioned before cam ( and Shait?n (Satan) has made their deeds fair-seeming to them, and has barred them from (All?h?s) Way so they have no guidance.&quot . so the deeds are worshipping sun and making a woman their leader and God knows .

Yes, she was a convert, like the first Muslims ... they were all converts. Anything wrong with that?

Yes, wrong for Aiysha , she don't believe that and she said she read Quran .

The story ends with her becoming a Muslim, no mentioning of her having to give up her position of leadership at all

Solayman was the leader of the world all of it and she wasn't the only Queen, there were kings. and Solayman ruled everything even her kingdom are under the ruler Solayman. By the way you said that there no mentioning of giving up her leadership, is there that she used to lead after being Muslim .????

Bravo! bravo Yes, that was the point I was making over the past pages of this discussion.

Even many traditional Muslim scholars see her story as a clear proof that God has no objections whatsoever against women in positions of leadership. Read up on their positions if you don't believe me.

I think most of us are aware of this. It doesn't play a role in regards to what we are discussing here though.

No, you're not aware of this . It plays a role, showing your lack of even give right arguments from Quran as you claimed that you follow Quran .

You don't need ahadeeth for that. The Qur'an tells us about this.

Really, as I see you didn't say anything from Quran, just a verse here and there and everywhere without even give a simple understanding of the verses. You're like a crow, who things that everything dazzle is gold .

But you are trying to divert from the subject. Why she showed her legs is irrelevant.

hahah, that's because you don't know, you're just reading a verse and claiming "I understand the verse, but wait I must look for my wiki"
