Quran only mistakes
-
Mistakes made by quran only people Juging sunnis and shi'as and calling them kaffir and mushrik, heretics and all kinds of disrespect insted of following the quran and calling them brothers and learn from each other so we might all see the truth, for i believe 100%the quran when it says that only allah knows those whom they're guided, and i believe allah when he says in his book that jews, christians, sabians... who believe and do good deeds, they have their reward and no fear for them nor grief, i don't see why not sunnis and shia who believe and do good deeds, so please friends, don not juge a sunni or anybody for it is the biggest blasphemy you're doing, and you will be the 1st to desobey Allah by associating yourselves with allahas juges , and you know very well who is to juge, so please friends, be rational and try to take away from your heart all prejudice and hatred

i'm a new poster here, but i've been lurking for a while
-
i rarely (if ever) see Qur'anists judging Sunnis and Shias...let alone call them Khaffar, etc.
-
more often, however, i see the reverse; the Sunnis (in particular) lashing out at Qur'anists.
it's sad on either side; we all have the same mission of worshipping Allah as He deserves to be worshipped.

Allaah says in the Holy Quraan
Say (O Prophet م "If you love Allaah then follow me, Allaah will love you and forgive you your sins. And Allaah is Forgiving, Merciful." (331)
From this blessed Verse of the Holy Quraan, it is proven that true Believers are obligated to follow the Sunnah of the Prophet

Salaam,
I know it is a waste of time trying to have a logical dialogue with you guys, i.e., the sectarians. Here I?ll try to answer your irrational interpretation of The Qur?aan, in order, not to get through you, but to others who read your posts.
The above verse of The Qur?aan you?ve quoted and all other similar verses commanding the believers to follow the messengers of GOD are all about the time when the messengers were alive and living, so the believers would be able to follow the tangible living messenger.
Now; can you tell me how am I to follow a dead messenger, especially after being dead for over 1400 years? Unless I actually die too, then I will truly be following him in his footsteps to his grave.
Verses 3531, 32 in The Qur?aan clearly inform us that we inherited nothing but The Qur?aan Alone for our religious guidance. The Prophet himself time and time again was commended to follow The Qur?aan only. See 650,106; 7203; 1015,109; 332; 4343; 499, and many more.
How in the world you sectarians dare to claim that the Prophet who is commanded repeatedly by GOD (SWT) not to follow anything but The Qur?aan, would expect his followers to follow extra Qur?aanic religious sources?
May GOD Almighty Guides us all in His straight path.
Peace,
Khalil -
Salam
loxbox, you will find a tiny % of people doing that here.
Indeed. Loxbox, I suggest you spend some time reading here before coming up with allegations like that. peace

Exactly.

It says "follow me" not "follow my alleged sunnah as written by Bukhari et al".
bravo bravo YES!!!
I had to repeat that same thing over and over this morning in discussions with my darling husband over hadith/sunnah/Quran.
It's hard to argue when you disagree on the basics. I have come to see that when Quran says follow the messenger, that it means as you just said - follow the Quran - NOT all the other stuff that was written later and Prophet Muhammad did not know about or wasn't around to stop.
But if the person won't give up on that reading of it, then it's hard to move on.

This morning I was directed to a site (http//www.alheweny.org) to get ''better'' information on hadith and why we should listen to it lol.
While there I found this http//www.alheweny.org/english/play.php?catsmktba=16
I was pretty shocked by the first statement "In reality, such is a misnomer, for the primary objective of such groups is not to follow only the Qur?an & to nullify the Sunnah (the acts & sayings of Prophet Muhammad); but their terminal aim is to abolish the Qur'an itself."
They want to abolish Quran? That doesn't make sense at all. Why would a Quran only group want to abolish Quran? So they could follow nothing? ???
It sounds like the whole post begins with outright rubbish, but just to be sure can anyone tell me whether "Quranists" mentioned there is referring to a particular group, or just generally Quran only followers? Maybe it's a particular strange group who really do want to abolish Quran?? o Though like I said, it seems more likely that the writer is talking rubbish.
The post then goes on to say
"they discard all the Sunnah except for a few sayings of the Prophet (discarding them would prove detrimental to their case), as the ones that contain essential information on the details of daily prayers."
and
"If we look in the Book for the details of forbidden & permissible flesh to eat we will not find them."
Well, that is funny, I found them easily (well, thank you to Wakas I think it was, who posted them for me last night P). After that I had to completely dismiss the whole post, the writer and pretty much the website.

Salaam Leyna. I went back there after reading your message and had more of a read of the articles and fatwas. There is so much hate against women on there I can hardly believe it. Also he attacks Shiites and of course just the constant regurgitation of the most ridiculous hadith. So, yes you are clearly correct. My concern is that it's someone I love who directed me there in the first place
May Allah show us both the true path. Ameen.
PS I had to look up Salafi...you learn something new everyday laugh

Yes, that's very typical. nope
Once you are familiar with their way of thinking and their ideology, you don't need to read further than a couple of sentences on a site like this in order to know what the rest will be like.
They are a dangerous cult that imho has nothing to do with Islam; and it's sad that thanks to petrodollars their ideology is spreading around the world like cancer.
There's already a thread discussing some of their outrageous fatawa and misogyny

Mahatma Gandhi First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.
So true. I think the fact that they (and some other groups) are trying so hard to discredit "Qur'anists" is an indicator that they are starting to feel a bit threatened by us.
Gandhi was a very wise man anyway. peace

Salaam,
Actually the sectarians, i.e. Sunnis, Shi?ahs, Salafis, and? by stamping us, i.e. the Muslims, as "qur?aanists", trying to make us, the Muslims, to be seen and to be considered as another sect.
So, we need to be highly alert here and do not allow them to be successful with their plot. We are Muslims, PERIOD. We as Muslims follow The Qur?aan Alone as our ONLY religious guidance.
Peace,
Khalil -
"We are Muslims, PERIOD."
Thanks for your reply to the question. I see you point completely and agree with your statement above.
The whole idea of "Quran only" or "Quranist" does seem to suggest that it's something strange when in fact from what I can see it's exactly how God asks Muslims to practice.

Peace,
Respect. When I call them sunnis, I don't have the word sunni as part of ba dlanguage.
I've noticed that they've already called themselves sunnis, so I resperct that and I too, therefore, call them sunnis. Then when the conversation continues, God knows best. But you're right, all humans are brothers and sisters and we need to respect each other at all times.
May God help us.Peace.
