Maybe I'm wrong: Desperate god
-
....... or am I telling the people that God says " I am God the Lord of the Worlds. Worship me and me alone".
How are you going to say this verse to other people?
1141 Say I seek refuge in the Lord of men,
Is it, god says, "I seek refuge in the Lord of men"?
Are you going to bend this verse as you did on 3953 and then telling me my comprehension skills are so poor?
You don't argue my quote about respect, as below;
In term of human to human relationship, is it appropriate for a butler to be called servant? Addressing other person as servant is like you show no respect to him or her. This is one of the reasons why I go against these verses as it show no respect to human being. Good teaching should nurture respect among GOD's creations.
Good and noble person(s) will surely agree on this good value and conduct.

Well obviously this verse is referring to the something completely different. It is my view that you are deliberately taking verses out of context twisting it and claiming that the Quran is incomplete. Your interpretation is wack.
Sura 1141 and other verses like it are interpreted differently. It quite clear to right minded people that this verse is not similar to 3953
Sura 3953 was a message to a group of people. Sura 1141 is speaking to a single individual. 1141 Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of the people," (notice the letter I This message is different than 3853)
3953 Say, "O My servants who transgressed against themselves, do not despair of God's mercy. For God forgives all sins. He is the Forgiver, the Compassionate." ( a message to a group of people from God)
Your interpretation and comprehension skills are very VERY poor. If you do not approach the Quran sincerely you are doomed to interpret it incorrectly. The Quran is a protected book and can only be interpreted correctly by the sincere. Right now I don't think that you fall under that category.
5677 It is an honorable Quran.
5678 In a protected record. (The Quran is a guarded book)
5679 None can grasp it except those pure. (pure here means sincere)
5680 A revelation from the Lord of the worlds.Peace,

One thing for sure both verses sharing same format. This maybe not going to cause any harm to other human but below verse will.
434 Men are the maintainers of women because Allah has made some of them to excel others and because they spend out of their property; the good women are therefore obedient, guarding the unseen as Allah has guarded; and (as to) those on whose part you fear desertion, admonish them, and leave them alone in the sleeping-places and beat them; then if they obey you, do not seek a way against them; surely Allah is High, Great.
This verse exposing women to harassment. Many women being beaten because of this verse. My point here is, the author of Quran should ensure that all, 100%, of its content clearly explained so that it is free from mis-interpretation. This is why no religion book able to unite its follower. Different sects exist due to different interpretation of the same book.
Fyi., I have edited below quote in my previous reply to you.

434 The men are to support the women by what God has gifted them over one another and for what they spend of their money. The reformed women are devotees and protectors of privacy what God has protected. As for those women from whom you fear disloyalty, then you shall advise them, abandon them in the bedchamber, and separate them; if they obey you, then do not seek a way over them; God is High, Great.
You constantly attack the Quran without knowledge. Did you even consider looking at alternative translations??? Beating a women would directly contradict with the verse ....
2256 There is no compulsion in the system; the proper way has been made clear from the wrong way. Whoever rejects the transgressors, and acknowledges God, has grasped the firm branch that will never break. God is Hearer, Knower.
When you are translating the Quran it is vital that all the teachings are consistent. Again and again you show that you lack knowledge of the Quran. Continue on the road you are on and eventually you will incur God's disdain. Stop what you are doing and approach the Quran sincerely. If you do not do this you will dig a deep pit for yourself which will not be easy to climb out of. God does not love those who rush to interpret his book without knowledge.
37 He is the One who sent down to you the book, from which there are definite signs; they are the essence of the book; and others, which are multiple-meaning. As for those who have disease in their hearts, eager to cause confusion and eager to derive their interpretation, they will follow what is multiple-meaning from it. But none knows their meaning except God and those who are well founded in knowledge; they say, "We acknowledge it, all is from our Lord." None will remember except the people of intellect.

Do the two verses below speak about the same thing.....
3953 Say, "O My servants who transgressed against themselves, do not despair of God's mercy. For God forgives all sins. He is the Forgiver, the Compassionate." ( a message to a group of people from God)
Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of the people,"
Both verses speak about different situations.
One verse is used to address a group of people whilst the other is for an individual who recites from the Quran. Only a person who is bent on promoting deception would try to make it into something that is similar just for the sake of making point!!! Do you have any other 'discrepancies' ???
2543 Have you seen the one who has taken his ego as his god? Will you be a caretaker over him?
2544 Or do you think that most of them hear or understand? They are just like cattle. No, they are worse off.Peace,
Kevin

The verses which started with word 'Say' are teaching the Quran's believers what to speak no matter when he want to speak to a group of people or speak to himself. If the author of the Quran want somebody to speak on behalf of his god, he used different format and below are the examples.
5115 God said "I will send it down to you, but whoever rejects after this from among you, I will punish him a punishment like no one else from the worlds will be punished!"
1651 And God said "Do not take two gods, there is only One god, so it is Me that you shall reverence."
The author of consistently use this format in many of the verses to differentiate what his god want to say and what his god want the believer(s) to say. But you are not satisfy with what the author had written and made minor change by adding imaginary word 'god' in front of verse 3953. Any 'good' Quran believer will do that to correct the mistake made by the author.
1827 And recite what has been inspired to you from the Book of your Lord, there is no changing His words, and you will not find besides Him any refuge.
Furthermore, the author claimed that Quran verses are his god's word. Thus when a believer recited Quran, the god is actually speaking to him or her. This is common believe among Quran believers across all sects but I don't know whether you share the same believe. Base on my understanding for verse 1827, their believe is meeting Quran's message and this will make verses 3910 and 3953 scenario as below.
God said to a Quran's believer who want to preach his(the believer) servants, "Say O My servants who believed, be aware of your Lord. For those who worked righteousness in this world will be a good reward, and the earth of God is spacious. Those who steadfastly persevere will receive their recompense fully, without reckoning."
God said to a Quran's believer who want to preach his(the believer) servants, "Say, "O My servants who transgressed against themselves, do not despair of God's mercy. For God forgives all sins. He is the Forgiver, the Compassionate.""
Is my comprehension skill getting better? Maybe not but at least I'm being honest to knowledge.

No you are using English grammar rules applying it Qur'an and the Arabic thus you are confused.
Regardless though unlike the missionaries not our job to preach to you unless of course you ask.
21
22 that the book not doubt in it guidance to the mindful
23 the ones who they believe in the unseen and establish the prayer and from what we provided them they spend
24 and the ones who they believe in what sent down to you and what sent down from before you and in the afterlife they firmly believe
25 those on guidance from their Lord and those who they the successful
26 indeed the ones who disbelieve is same on them you warn them or not you warn them not they believe
27 has set a seal The God on their hearts and on their hearing and on their vision a veil and for them punishment greatFirst comes the message then one chooses to believe or deny and denial leads to further denial thus the seal.
Now you can come back and say The God sealed you which my reply is the message gives you another chance.

Is my comprehension skill getting better? Maybe not but at least I'm being honest to knowledge.
Ohh then why didn't you say so before. You were soo unclear in the last posts. Why didn't you give me a proper explanation
3910 Say, "O servants who acknowledged, be aware of your Lord." For those who worked righteousness in this world will be a good reward, and God's earth is spacious. Those who steadfastly persevere will receive their recompense fully, without reckoning.
3953 Say, "O My servants who transgressed against themselves, do not despair of God's mercy. For God forgives all sins. He is the Forgiver, the Compassionate."
The pronouns 'servants' in both verse refer to God servants the people who believe. They don't imply that Muhammad is not the master of anyone. He is just a messenger.
Verse 3910
- Say, "O servants who acknowledged(or who believed), be aware of your Lord."
Who are the servants who believe??? The humans are God's servants who had believed since God is there Master.
4711 This is because God is the Master for those who acknowledge, while those who do not appreciate have no master.
God is the Lord of the Believers. The servants here is verse 3910 doesn't imply that Muhammad have servants but rather that God has servants.
Verse 3953
3953 Say, "O My servants who transgressed against themselves, do not despair of God's mercy. For God forgives all sins. He is the Forgiver, the Compassionate."
The servants here are transgressors. No one transgressed against Muhammad. So how can Muhammad be implied as a master here???? Is Muhammad the forgiver of sins or is God the forgiver of sins???? Who is our Lord and master in this religion???? Servants here is NOT to imply that Muhammad is a master. Muhammad is no master or lord. He is just a messenger , a deliverer.
320 If they debate with you, then say, "I have peacefully surrendered myself to God, as well as those who follow me." In addition, say to those who were given the book and the Gentiles "Have you peacefully surrendered?" If they have peacefully surrendered then they are guided; but if they turn away, then you are only to deliver. God is watcher over the servants.
Brother Edip, made a good argument on this topic as well
Associating partners with God (shirk), is a different category than sin (zanb); it is an unforgivable crime. See 448,116; Also, see 1287; 1556; 3036; 4149, and 3910. The pronoun in "my servant" refers to God, since according to numerous verses only God can be the master. This sudden shift in pronouns is called iltifat (conversion, turning one's face to someone) in Arabic literature, which is defined as "the change of speech from one mode to another, for the sake of freshness and variety for the listener, to renew his interest, and to keep his mind from boredom and frustration, through having the one mode continuously at his ear." On this and other literary aspects of the Quran, I recommend Neal Robinson's book Discovering The Qur'?n A Contemporary Approach To A Veiled Text (1996, SCM Press Ltd.). For other examples of iltifat, see 359; 6941-47; 161-2; 3915-16; 8925-30; 20113-114; 6718-19; 544; 20124; 751-3; 238; 1137; 5045; 12-5; 1988; 5217-19; 1672; 4535; 3038; and 7039-4; 171-3; 1795; 3953; 1022.
You are digging a pit for yourself that will be hard to climb out of. Maybe God has already placed you into a pit because you like rush to interpret verses without carefully studying the whole text. Stop what you are doing and approach the text sincerely. This Book is not an ordinary book. The signs in this book are many. No one can write a book like the Quran.
1788 Say, "If all the humans and the Jinn were to gather to bring a Quran like this, they could not come with its like, even if they were helping one another."

The translation for 434 you given to me is corrupted. The Arabic word 'waidriboohunna' if translated into English is 'and strike them' not ' and separate them'. 'Idriboo' is 'strike' not 'separate'.
The same word use in verse 260, 273, 7160, 812, 2663, 3844 and 474. 'Below is the example of the verse sharing the same word which you had changed the meaning;
474 Therefore, if you encounter those who have rejected, then strike the necks; until you bind them, then secure the cords. You may then either set them free or ransom them, until the war ends. That, and if God had willed, He alone could have beaten them, but He thus tests you by one another. As for those who get killed in the cause of God, He will never let their deeds be put to waste.
I know you cannot accept Quran to teach something that can harm others and trying as much as possible to clean it up from the mess created by the author although you need to go against below verses.
371 "O people of the Book, why do you confound the truth with falsehood and conceal the truth while you know?"

I've read about iltifat before this but not from Edip. To me it is a rule which specially created to cover the weakness found in Quran esp for verse 3910 and 3953. A good guide book don't have to be so complicated so that people from all walk of life can understand the content and practice the teaching.

371 "O people of the Book, why do you confound the truth with falsehood and conceal the truth while you know?"
The root use for the word used in this verse is d r b .
This root has SEVERAL different meanings
" In almost all translations, you will see it translated as "scourge," or "beat" or "beat (lightly)". The verb DaRaBa is a multiple-meaning verb akin to English ?strike? or ?get.? The Quran uses the same verb with various meanings, such as, to travel, to get out (3156; 4101; 3844; 7320; 2273), to strike (260,73; 7160; 812; 2077; 2431; 2663; 3793; 474), to beat (850), to beat or regret (4727), to set up (4358; 5713), to give (examples) (1424,45; 1675,76,112; 1832,45; 2435; 3028,58; 3678; 3927,29; 4317; 5921; 6610,11), to take away, to ignore (435), to condemn (261), to seal, to draw over (1811), to cover (2431), and to explain (1317). " - Footnote from " Quran A Reformist Translation "
And out of ALL those meanings you chose to stick to beat or strike! Did you even bother to check out the various meanings for the word or did you just stick with beat or strike just for the sake of proving a point to fuel your own ego.
2543 Have you seen the one who has taken his ego as his god? Will you be a caretaker over him?

'd r b' has several meanings but 'separate' is not one of them.
You are not being honest to knowledge but who can blame you since it is what the Quran's author want you to be.

Actually, I'm in a midst of drafting a reply to you on the 'Forbidden and Sacred Month' post but I'll drop it.

Go to any Arabic dictionary and you will find that DARABA is a MULTIPLE MEANING word. This is a FACT.
Here is one way Sura 434 can be translated
"The men are to support the women since God has endowed each of them with certain qualities and men spend from their financial resources. The righteous women are obedient (to God) and during the absence (of their husband) they honor them according to God's commandment. As for those women whom you are experiencing a fear of disloyalty from, you shall first advice them, then (if they continue) you may desert them in bed, then you may strike them out. If they obey you then don't transgress against them. God is Most High, Supreme
To "strike them out" can be used to mean depart from them, to separate from them, disband from them. This is consistent with the meaning of the root Daraba.
651 O you prophet, if any of you have divorced the women, then they should be divorced while ensuring that their required interim is fulfilled, and keep count of the interim. You shall reverence God your Lord, and do not evict the women from their homes, nor should they leave, unless they have committed a proven adultery. These are God's limits. Anyone who transgresses God's limits has wronged his person. You never know; perhaps God will make something come out of this.
If a woman is found committing adultery but there is insufficient witnesses to exact a punishment then the husband has the right to immediately separate from the woman. Both verses Sura 651 and Sura 434 are similar
Nobody is hiding anything.

To be sincere to you, I was a Quranist before, a die hard type. Before that was with a Sunni's militant group dreaming of establishing an Islamic state in South-East Asia. Before that, I was with the Wahabbi (a sect of Sunni) dreaming of going back to early days of Islam (Prophet and his companions) and fighting the bid'ah. I was born and raised in Muslim family and live with Muslim community and exposed to orthodox Sunni way of life.
One thing you should know, Quran fit well with any of the group and there will always be at least a verse to justify their cause doesn't matter whether it is good or evil. Quran is like a nuclear technology. If it fall into good and noble people hand, it will benefit everybody including those who reject it but in the hand of evil, it will destroy humanity. Watch what had happened in Muslim's world? Some of them talk about honor-killing. Some of them let their brothers in Palestine being 'slaved' without any guilty feeling. Jihad door is open in Palestine but most Muslims trying to deny it by saying the fight is not religious cause so that their god will not labelled them as coward. The Palestinians are fighting to defend their right to the land and it is an honor fight and war. Do you witness how the Taliban ruled Afghan or what had happened to Egypt? Egypt has a great Islamic university there, The Al-Azhar, but it doesn't do any good to Egypt itself. Open you eyes, GOD had abandoned the Muslims because they can't use their brain properly as Quran is limiting it.
We all know that, majorities of the human are not really good and noble and do you really think GOD going to sign a blank cheque to thieves?
I don't believe GOD will do that.

Welcome back. Appreciate you honesty to correct back the distorted meaning of d r b in verse 434. At least I know that my arguments are not something to be taken lightly.

No you are using English grammar rules applying it Qur'an and the Arabic thus you are confused.
1st rule in communication is to make sure whatever message you want to give to other is clear. For human to human communication, if it is not clear you can still ask back the person who initiate the communication. It is a two-ways communication.
GOD to human communication, only one way. If the message not clear then there is no way to go back to GOD asking him to clarify doubts and uncertainties. Can you go and ask GOD what is the name of the Sacred or Forbidden Months? No way.
Do you think GOD want to do that?

Polygamy.
43 And if you fear that you cannot be just to the orphans, then you may marry those who are agreeable to you of the women two, and three, and four. But if you fear you will not be fair, then only one, or whom you maintain by your oaths. This is best that you do not face financial hardship.
4129 And you will not be able to be fair regarding the women even if you make every effort; so do not sway too greatly and leave her as one hanging in a void. And if you reconcile and do right, then God is Forgiver, Merciful.
Remark Majority of man don?t think about fear when come when talk about fulfilling their sexual needs.
I don?t have experience in polygamy. I?m fortunate to be blessed with loyal and loving spouse and my parents also being loyal to each other.
But below story is what I witnessed myself.
During my Wahabbi's days, we used to have weekly class leaning Quran and Hadiths. The ?ustaz? or teacher has two wives and together with us in the class is the ustaz?s son from his first wife. In one of the classes we came across verse 43 and suddenly the peace broke when the son start to question his father the validity of the verse and he recited verse 4129 to his father. I?m new to the group and don?t really know what it is all about but felt what the son is doing is not right. First, he questioned the 43 verse and second, he seems like not respecting his own father in front of the crowd. The argument last for few minutes and the lecture resumed after that but the air was full of tense (?not much oxygen? as what some like to phrase). Few days later I was told by a friend the real situation and neutralized the earlier judgment passed to the ustaz?s son. However, there was a question left inside me. Why does GOD approved polygamy while HE knows that men will not be able to be fair to women?
I?ve read a story about a woman from Afghanistan who suffered from polygamy. Not to mention the gossips passed around in the society I?m living in.
Maybe some will say these are isolated cases but keep questioning yourself. Does GOD really going to allow women or any of HIS creations to suffer because of HIS words?
I have discussed, directly or indirectly, with a few Muslims women on this topic and majority of them disagree or, to be more religious, not comfortable with polygamy. I shared same feeling with them. But when I told them that they are actually not comfortable with Quran law, they then switched the conversation to justice and fairness. Do you think GOD doesn?t care about women's feelings?
