    Bold purple is from me

It's 'largely based' on the Torah, Genesis 22.

    peace

    Yeah Torah, too many conjectures

where does it say anyone at all whispered to Joseph? It doesn't, Joseph had no wish/desire to be seduced at all by the woman.

    peace

It does not but Joseph was inclined to if it is not for the protection of ALLAH but the woman had intentions.

1- When we read 1542 and 1765 we find GOD telling Satan that he does not have "sultan" on the believers. So what exactly is the meaning of the word "sultan"?

If we look up the word "sultan" in the dictionary we find that it means power , control or authority.

It is rational to conclude that for the devil to be able to inflict physical harm, pain or hardship on the believers the devil must first have power over the believers. However, if he has no power over the believers (1542, 1765) then he cannot harm the believers.

When we read 1422 we see the devil saying (on Judgement Day) that he had no "sultan"(authority) over the humans, then he says that the only thing he did was "da'aawtakum"(enticed you) .... this is the only thing that the devil is able to to do to the humans, "Yuwaswis" (as in 20120) - which means to entice by whispering.

The devil has no power over the believers, he cannot force them to do anything, nor can he inflict any harm on them. He can only entice and invite the human to sin.

The case of Abraham, yes, he was willing because he totally misinterpreted the dream and because he was righteous & a beleiver, GOD save him and his son.

    peace

      Yeah Torah, too many conjectures

Well God mentions it's importance 18 times in Quran and Muhammed confirmed it, up to you if you don't believe that but my post was regarding your post saying where the story of Abraham came from, which was not hadith but Torah.

It does not but Joseph was inclined to if it is not for the protection of ALLAH but the woman had intentions.

nothing to do with you saying "it was the devil who whispered to Joseph to commit the sin of adultery and not God," you are using conjecture.

It is not righteous to follow the devil and God does not reward following the devil even if it is a misunderstanding. This act of being willing to sacrifice was the act that proved he was the great righteous man he was, that is why this was left for future generations and that is why we are told to follow the religion of Abraham the true in faith, because when it came down to it he was willing to sacrifice his own son for God.

The verses are there. Like I said you can fiddle with the odd verse and make it into something different but you can't twist all of them and you can't get away from the fact God rewarded him for what he had done and left it for future generations and that God said he was of the believers, true in faith and what he did was RIGHT.

      peace

By the way, conjecture is something unproven and Quran is the book that confirms Torah, so are both of these just conjecture for you?

It was not he but the Son who gave this interpretation and asked his father to sacrifice him; thereby they both agreed to go ahead.

Satan does not come nearby the Messengers. He had expressed this inhibition of him that he will not be able to try upon them.

Devil has no role in the life and conduct of the Messengers of Allah the Exalted.

            Salamun alaiki,

Yes, there were and are such people. Pl see 284850; thereby, know that many people just follow their own empty thoughts. Once you find this, best way is to avoid wasting your time any further.

The Quran says Prior to this (Quran) , the book of Moses served as a guide, and was a blessing? 1117

The Quran says Prior to this, the book of Moses was the guide and mercy. This book, (the Qur?an) is in the Arabic language and it confirms and validates (the book of Moses). 4612

Tawrat (Torah) was the guide, of course, but prior to the Quran! These verses suggest clearly that the Quran has superseded the Tawrat (Torah).

The tawrat and the Injeel are not available in their original form, or in their original languages. Where is the proof? The Quran - 0279; 0378

Sahih International 06112 - And thus We have made for every prophet an enemy - devils from mankind and jinn, inspiring to one another decorative speech in delusion. But if your Lord had willed, they would not have done it, so leave them and that which they invent.

I beleive the verse is self explanatory

06112 - I can only except the explanation from The Quran and that is 'shayatin - human devil and jinn devil'

2815-16 - Prophet Musa in verse 16 asked for forgiveness for what he had done. He wronged his soul by killing someone! Thats what The Quran says.

3841 - This is a good exegy. Thank you for the info.

But accidentally and unintentionally. In a state of deep thinking mind and unaware of his surroundings. He had objected to the killing of a boy by the Learned Man from whom he had just come back and entered back in the city that this accident happened.

That is the difference between "" NOT "" of Allah the Exalted and "" of man-in this xase of Musa alahisalam. "" is an act done or happened or occurred by a person for the first time, innovative action. "" is always deliberate since it is done only after retrieving data from memory.

That is the reason that Man is judged by what "" he has performed.

A reply to those who still claim-" God ordered Abraham to Sacrifice/kill his son"-?

                                The first murder in Qoran

                                1. The two sons of Adam. " I will kill you" said one to the other...

                                2. ..I will not retaliate, said the other...

5;29. ... you will bear a sin...if you kill me...

5;30. His " Ego"( nafsihi) provoked him to kill his brother....He killed him..

                                God goes on to say
                                532. Because of this ( liajli dhalik)... We have decreed to the children of israel that whoever kills a person( innocent person) is like he killed all the people...

Because of that murder, which was way before Abraham existed... God has forbidden " killing an innocent person".

Would He command Abraham to sacrifice his innocent child?

Not according to Qoran? If it was from other than God they would have found in it many contradictions?

The story passed down from hadith is from " other than God" that is why it contradicts the teaching of Qoran.

God , author of the Qoran is a consistent God, Fair and Just. He would not violate His own law.

                                Peace.

Yes way before Abraham and the children of Israel were way after Abraham, why wasn't it decreed at the time?

The commandments came to Moses for the children of Israel long after Abraham and Adam's sons, and this was between those 2, there was no command from God for one to kill the other and it was clearly a sin as mentioned in Torah and Quran. Totally different and you can't keep on about commandments not being stuck to when they were not even there then.

Would He command Abraham to sacrifice his innocent child?
Question to ponder on, did he kill him?

Not according to Qoran? If it was from other than God they would have found in it many contradictions?
Yes according to Quran, it tells you clearly he was rewarded for his righteousness and the vision was fulfilled! If God gives a command you do it IF you are righteous.

The story passed down from hadith is from " other than God" that is why it contradicts the teaching of Qoran.
The Torah is from God as has been told to you MANY times in Quran and there is no contradiction regarding this story, it's up to you to believe or not, clearly you do not.

God , author of the Qoran is a consistent God, Fair and Just. He would not violate His own law.
God does not abide by ANY LAW, He IS the LAW.

You can pick and choose all you like but those verses are CLEAR, he was willing to do it and was REWARDED for that.
                                  peace

All human beings are the two sons of Adam. Some of them or some times we want to do wrong, what God has nto commanded us. Some of them o rsome of the time we we want to do right and are exposed to dangers or loss because of that. That is not something that happenned such or such a year, but something that always happens. I do not think the two sons of Adam are meant historically, and if they are meant historically it is obvious that they already knew that killing their fellow men was wrong and against the law of God. It was not something that people had to wait for thousands upon thousands of years to know. Of course the could forget, like we forget today, when we are told fairy tales about collateral damages and so on. Every people in the world has known that you do not kill fellow human beings for heck of it or because you are in fit of egotism or lack of self assurance or whatever. That those particular words were said to the children of Israel, either by the Children of Israe we understand righteous people, as some Qur'an comentators understand it, and those words are and were eternal, or if we understand that it is a particular people, that it is mentioned so does not mean that those words were not spoken to anybody else. The moral codes of the peoples everywhere have said the same thing, which is logical because the same God has spoken everywhere.

                                    Salaam
