Theoretically you don?t need books to believe in God. However knowing idolaters, who distort religion and lead people off the path, having a good book as The Quran, is really a blessing from God.

As for Bigmos "Koran is no better guidance", this is completely wrong. The Quran says that the earlier books have been distorted. And that is obvious.

    Some idolaterous art http//paradoxuncreated.com/Blog/wordpress/?p=8465

Some idolaterous art, is subconscious symbolism. Some dont even know they worship it, and it controls them.

So religion is not only wisdom, but clearly defined godconsciousness, that protects against such constructs.

And then you need ofcourse a precise book, that does not contain such symbolism itself.

But theoretically yes, one can believe in God. But also what happened at Mecca when the Quran arrived? Idolaterous symbolism defeated, and most became muslim. Unfortunately only to distort their religion again later, and idol-worship of "mohammed and partners" in hadith. Which is typical for all religion, to get distorted. However we still have The Quran.

And God is one, and without partners. And God controls everything between the heavens and the earth.

    God, The beneficient, most merciful.

    Peace Be With You.

The Quran does not seperate itelf from the previous scriptures and never claimed the Quran is a "better guidance" than the previous scriptures.

I hope I didn't offend with that statement. I only meant that as the Quran says the other scriptures were polluted by human touch, it may be harder to separate true guidance from human whims. Not impossible, though, as the Quran says that there are some people of all faiths who ignore the human touch and focus on His guidance in any previous scripture. So, maybe not better, just easier.

          Well..

Even the Quran is not immune to be "polluted by human touch".
Given, the Quran itself was written by human hands... heeelllooooo????

In any case, God will give His Guidance to anyone whom He pleases..
With His Guidance whether there's a book or no book doesn't really matter... the person will be guided.
However people who read (and even memorized) all of the books will not be guided without His Guidance.

          Let's take some case studies

          Jesus
He often quote from Tanakh (Torah, Nevim and Ketuvim) when he preaches to the Judeans. It indicates he's well versed in the book of Tanakh. Yet his enemy, the Sanhedrin Rabbis also read the same book, but apparently they're not among 'the guided'.
In the Quran it's mentioned that "He (God) teach Jesus the BOOK (kitaba), the WISDOM /UNDERSTANDING (hikmat), the Torah and the Good News (Injeel)"

          Muhammad
Apparently he never read any 'jewish scriptures'. As during his time direct access to Tanakh/Gospel is very rare and it's an exclusive rights of those who are a member of Nashara or Jewish society, which Muhammad is not a member of.
Yet he did received God's guidance and ends up in writing a new book which is now being called as Quran. Although there's no guarantee that the Quran he wrote is the same as the Quran we have now.

Summary God should be the main focus, only HE ALONE can give you guidance, and not the book or books..
And God is actually closer to you than yourselves..

          Salam / Peace

I agree with you, completely. I don't think that any particular book is necessary to have a connection with God, as I know that I had one as an agnostic who thought all books written about God were total lies. But, the Quran did change my perspective when studying anything more than the Bible was ever able to. That's the only reason I uphold it as an easier guide, but I do recognize that this isn't true for everyone.

It was much harder for me to look past the human inaccuracies and misinformation in the Bible and use it as a spiritual guide than it is with the Quran, but clearly there are billions of people who feel the same way about the Quran, the Torah, the Bible, the Kaballah, the Vedas or ANY book at all. As long as they've got God (whatever they call Him), IMO, they'll all be fine, regardless.

The book is a good guide to integrate the ego and the self for people who are not spiritually developed enough to do it without the book, just with God's guidance and grace, but the rest is anyway doomed to perish anyway.

So according to you all the prophets were not spiritually developed enough?

Most of the prophets got the Book does this mean they needed it because they weren't spiritually developed enough? But as I think now they got it in order to show the right path to the people so it could be that they themselves actually didn't need it? I have no idea....(
Sorry if I sounded harsh in my previous post....
Maybe the question is wrong you don't need a book to believe in God but you need it to guide you.
I don't remember God ever mentioned people who don't believe in his existence, even Iblis knows about His existence it's the distortion of belief that's addressed.

                            Another good argument.
The devil believe in the existence of God.
Yet that doesn't makes him/her/it a good person isn't it?

That's why, 'believe in the existence of (one or more) God' is irrelevant.

yes, but worshiping(addicted to) false gods and rituals(practices) is relevant. )

Of all religions and sects and communities, the most ignorant of Allah are those claim themselves "Muslims". While the Book says Allah alone knows who a Muslim is among a single nation of human beings, they fell apart into different religious sects, merely naming themselves as belonging to a hither to unknown, uncreated species other than human beings that Allah has never created. Allah says if you are a human being, wanting to be chosen by Him as Muslims, you have got nothing to do with these hell-bound dividers, the species, belonging to religions and sects and communities.

If only they had read the Book, that is in conformity to their conscience, they would not be indulging in such topics and discussions.

one other valid question is, do we need prophets to guide us?
naturally when a community goes down in false beliefs and stick to it, there comes an enlightened soul to warn them, this should be as per natural law of cause and effect and there lies a history/sign which when recorded will be useful to future mankind, which we call the Quran Bible etc.

                                          Peace

                                          Indeed!

I tend to think that ignorance generally is proportional to the amount of demanded conformity in a group... so in this sense, the Islamic sects indeed rank high on the ignorance scale... but many other groups are often no less.

One of the greatest misconceptions of all time is that the quran belongs to any certain group or religion, or vice versa, that any certain religion or grouping is more related to the quran than any other part of humanity. It is with this idea that everything begins to fail and crumble and a blinding misunderstanding of the quran takes form. So, while Islam (the world religion) follows a twisted and sick interpretation of the quran.... the real message and spirit of the quran has no kinship with this Islam, and is hence forgotten and hidden from plain sight. This religion has hijacked a great arabic word and turned it into its own name.... such an formidable deceit and lie.

                                          Peace
