I don't know what is going on here but parrots are very Zen indeed.

Pardon my ignorance but, what exactly does this "zen" stand for!?

Pardon my ignorance but, what exactly does this "zen" stand for!?

Zen comes from the word Chan, originally a Chinese word and a school of Buddhism in China.

It has become a popular term to refer to a kind of philosophy of peace and harmony in the world, almost synthesized with Taoist ideas.

One of the most prominent ideas of Zen that is often promoted to those unfamiliar with it is the idea of "suchness" or viewing reality "as it is" without reference or inference or assumption, to "be in the moment" absolutely with no interpretation, and Zen meditation is meant to assist in this.

When you look at the sun, to not even think "that is the sun" let alone "that is a star out in space" but just to see and be without comment or internal dialogue, calming the module or portion of the brain that is constantly chattering and deciphering information and simply "being" and "breathing" and "doing" and "seeing" in a kind of clearness.

The word Chan comes from the Sanskrit word "dhyna", meaning "meditation" or "meditative state".

Another similar state is vipassana which is a constant state of meditation or insight which can be continued outside of formal meditation and a continuous state of mind.

Chan Buddhism or Zen Buddhism are forms of Buddhism that are rather light on literary study while heavy on meditative practices which they are named after. Other forms of Buddhism focus more on memorization of things and some are very scholarly, while the Zen Buddhists focus on eschewing as much dogma as possible and becoming present and aware of things with as little interference or interpretation as possible.

      I hope that helps!

Thanx for the input @FS, still I see naught but yet another sect of (bald-headed) cultists who, under the misguidance of false-authorities, blindly follow the tradition/customs of their (pagan) ancestors.

Religions are man-made ~ Get over it, people!

One could kind of say everything is "man made", in the sense that everything man interprets is interpreted or processed by their mind and thus explanations are "made", so everything we see is as man makes it to be.

The rock, often thought natural, is never accessed directly but seen through the eyes of man and interpreted and given explanations by man.

The concept of religion is an artificial construct ~ a man-made byproduct.
For instance, morality is natural, intrinsic, fixed and universal after all, it is G-D's Will.

G-D has no religion (Ar. ) The Qurn conveys G-D's Judgment (QA. ).

... l-Qurn () was never meant for a "1.57 billion" so-called "Muslim Umma" of self-proclaimed "Muslims" (divided into sects and subsects Sunnis, Shiites, Sufis, Ibadis, Maturidis, Ahmadites, Submiters, or whatnot]! ... The addressee is Humanity en mass (l-ns), aka. us! Adem's descendants (bny Adm) ~ currently around 7 billion Adamite cf., 7158, &c.

So you would be ok with me saying something like "I piss on religion"? I really might have to go to the bathroom urgently so let me know so it isn't wasted!

                Sure, plow ahead!

Just make sure you lift your leg up to get a bit more power in your shot.

Made me laugh haha. Strange to lift my leg and send the spray across my other leg. Maybe I can direct it under my lifted leg though like some kind of martial art, I'm sure religion will be furiously insulted to get pissed on in such a way that adds insult to injury.

We never forsook GOD either except what many of us are doing now by failing their growth until the harvest.

                      Be well

Seems like most of us are ill-fated!
                        ... Let's do our best.

I'm telling you that 'Iblys' is 'Pride' itself!

I've written a whole speech similar to this, where I talk about Satan as Pride or Pride as the Enemy, but I also recognize Iblis as a jinn, made of flame of fire intensely hot, made before mankind, who spoke out against the bowing going on to the real Adam, seemingly wanting to be the one or the race that is given the viceroy position instead, having racist reasoning behind the claim "He is made out of mud, I am made out of fire" etc.

How is it the "concept of pride" is talking, is banished, is inventing alcohol and gambling, etc etc, is sent to hell, etc. It seems nowhere else in the Qur'an do we see things that have no physical existence communicating, like "fear says" or "hatred says" or whatever. It was common for idolaters to personify concepts, but the Qur'an seems to only personify real objects, like the sun, the moon, the earth, hell, and things like that. Not to doubt that God can personify a concept, but is a concept made of fire? Are all jinn "concepts" and are all "concepts" made of flame of fire intensely hot, scorching wind, or whatever else it says?

It doesn't really seem to make too much sense.

Concepts go and ascend and try to hear secrets?

Concepts listen in on things and talk about their communities and civilizations and beliefs?

It is just not really consistent, even though Satan indeed seemed to be haughty and proud, nowhere does it say Satan is a concept and not a real being belonging to a real race of beings made out of a real material.

The word Iblis is said to come from the word balasa (if one doesn't take the Diabolos version), and means "He Despaired" but could also mean "causes despair" or both, generally the idea of despair is in there so it seems to imply he lost hope and went self destructive and tends to promote that too.

The Bible personifies concepts like "Wisdom" and whatever and speaks of them as entities with personalities, but the Qur'an doesn't seem to have examples of doing that, and then apparently wasting so much time saying they are jinn and jinn are made of fire before the human race and all that being totally arbitrary in reference to concepts.

Iblis which I interprete as diabolos to me fits the structure we see with any malak.

Malaks are too abstract for us to comprehend. We can only experience them, communicate with them (when they are sent as messengers) in a transformed manifestation.

The messengers sent to Lut are not even named. They are manifestations of malak in our physical world. In my understanding one angel can take the shape of many human shapes at the same time, even existing at the same time in seperate places.

Iblis is no different. When Iblis manifests in this world we speak of satan. Satan are of the jinn.

ps my understanding of iblis as diabolos is based on the linguistically overwhelming evidence all triliteral rootwords of this format in arab are loanwords.

                            Peace
