Oh, I have a kind of serious question. For all of you who believe the Earth is flat, how is it you got started on this path of thinking? What were your first experiences and how were you convinced of it?

The videoclip of the song "Another Brick in the Wall", by Pink Floyd, contains symbolism which many people don't see. It's describing how the indoctrination of the human being begins from childhood, during his school days.

I don't tend to think about the Earth being a globe or flat much, usually I'm just walking around doing other things, but when I look in the sky or in a telescope, the other heavenly bodies all appear to be round, like the moon, and the sun, and the stars, and they seem to be globes, so one can assume that the Earth might also be in space like those objects and might also be a globe like them rather than an entirely different shape, but it isn't really important to me anyway, and I don't know what the benefit would be for the evil cabal to really need to convince people of this, like if the Earth is a globe or not, what difference does it make?
So brother do you see the 3d globe model of sun,moon and the stars up in the sky? They are round that's right.Even a kindergarten student can verify this with telescope. But this doesn't mean that they have to be globes.May be they are round more likely plates.What to say about this?

Then decide for your own.Then we also can ask ourselves what it is we see in telescopes when you behold planets and galaxies. Is it large video screens showing prerecorded material?

Thank you for your thought-provoking subject. I can understand that the arguments for this flat earth theory may seem impressive at first glance, but we have to be careful before making any hasty conclusions.
Now, let?s test this model using your illustration above, and compare it with what we can observe around us. I will focus my counter-argument on the ?shape/form of the sun? in your model.
If the sun in your model has a globe form, then you can never have night time on your flat earth in area N. But in reality, we can observe there exists a night time where we don?t see the sun as it is under the horizon; thus, the sun in your model cannot have a sphere form.
The second possibility would be that the sun in your model is a sort of plate-like lamp (like led lamps) with the possibility to focus the light beam in a certain region while excluding other region where there should be night time.
Let?s suppose we are standing in this scenario in the area E. from this perspective, the sun will have a round shape only at noon and an ellipse shape the rest of day!! The sun can only be round at noon. Outside region E, people can never see the sun in a round shape at any time, it will always look as an ellipse. Even more, the shape of the sun at sunset will look like an ellipse getting narrower until it vanishes high in the sky, it will not get down to the horizon and WILL NOT sink under it as we may observe in our reality during sunset.
To summarize my counter-argument, I will say that the flat earth model you are presenting cannot be valid as it is contradicting with what we can observe empirically The round shape of the sun during the day AND its asymmetrical form during sunrise and sunset happening at the horizon completely destroys this flat earth theory. I don't think anyone would be able to make an apparatus capable of modeling this theory while showing a round-shaped sun to an observer standing on his flat planet.
I hope my counter-argument is clear enough. If not, please feel free to ask for more details.

Dont try to deceive people and yourselves.
Think the world majority accepted and believe the earth is a sphere or spheroid, and so many photos are now available to confirm the same, ignore the photos there are so many basic factors like the horizon, the day and night, earth and moon's rotation period clearly explains the setup. NASA is not the only authority of world science and there are other countries who are well advanced in space technology, As you write in this forum you use the help of those satellites launched using the technology of those advanced countries you blame.
The Quran and its author just wants to warn people about this attitude then at the time of Mohammed, if one truly understood it.

- does light travel in a straight line?
- by "vanishing point" do you mean the sun moves away from an observer VERTICALLY or HORIZONTALLY or something else? In other words, what motion does the sun have in your view?
- how do you explain regions such as iceland which experience months of permanently visible sun, and months of permanently non-visible sun?

That is nice, I guess it can be said Mormons and Jehovah's Witnesses care too when they knock on people's doors to tell them lies. So what if, even on accident, the flat earth people are the deceivers and misleading ones? What if they are the ones lying?

I think there are probably more overtly evil things than that. I use the mainstream one for the most part since I don't have yours yet and it tends to do alright seeming regardless of the possible errors throughout.

Where does the Qur'an say that the whole planet of Earth is a flat disc? The land before us is clearly spread out, but even that isn't flat. If you're going to take it so literally, and believe "flat" was said, how is that true? There are mountains, and up and down constantly, none of it is flat or level, its all up and down constantly. Is it just totally random that this belief comes upon people? Is it because of the Qur'an that people end up going in this direction, while at the same time many followers of the Qur'an brag about it talking about a round "egg-shaped" Earth ahead of its time. If the Qur'an said "the land is flat" it would be a lie since it isn't flat but all sorts of levels and heights and depths.

If there are no satellites, where are owners of satellite TV equipment aiming their discs?
If one knows the technology they know the LNB receives microwaves from the satellite which are reflected by the disc and unto the LNB receptor area. If there are no satellites it means they magically receive satellite TV out of the blue.
And it is not possible to talk that away by saying it is deception because many people know the technology and how it works and I know it briefly myself. They are not receiving a signal from the Earth's surface because it is a logically impossibility because the reflector area is clearly facing the skies.

Trust me. If you had my interpretation and translation, and in your right mind, you would not look for another, after I finish it.
Right now it is a long way to go I have only finished a part of chapter 2 and chapter 36 and I have to edit the translation so it sounds more fluent because right now the word order is very Arabic thus literal and English does not feel very coherent to read that way.
