You understand this is what I mean by having your mind made up ? You await people to agree with your statement (that God did not create Evil) and you don't want to even try to explore the possibility that God created Evil and you are certain it's a lie by the "rejectors".

But now I said, let's assume God did not create evil, then where does evil come from ?

Bold 1 At the time, i didn't realize until now. And also. awaiting people to agree with my statement? Honestly not really, besides i am certain many do however agrees with me that God did not create evil.

Bold 2 I actually did a while ago and i couldn't figure out why exactly was the point to make evil in the first while ordered justice & goodness & prohibited evil/immorality, vice & transgression. It could not and still not make any sense to me.

Now for your question I sadly don't know but i have feeling that we humanity have something to do with it's existence.

In fact it might be hinted (i could be wrong) in 230

    230
Wa-ith qala rabbuka lilmala-ikatiinnee jaAAilun fee al-ardi khaleefatan qalooatajAAalu feeha man yufsidu feeha wayasfiku alddimaawanahnu nusabbihu bihamdika wanuqaddisu lakaqala innee aAAlamu ma la taAAlamoona
And your Lord said to the angels "I am placing a successor on the earth." They said "Will You place in it he who would make corruption in it, and spill blood; while we praise by Your glory, and exalt to You?" He said "I know what you do not know."

      I just found this

      1630
Waqeela lillatheena ittaqaw mathaanzala rabbukum qaloo khayran lillatheena ahsanoofee hathihi alddunya hasanatun waladarual-akhirati khayrun walaniAAma daru almuttaqeena
And it was said to those who were righteous "What has your Lord sent down?" They said "All goodness." For those who have done good in this world there is good; and the Hereafter is goodness. Excellent indeed is the home of the righteous.

Brother Cerberus, you don't mind me inviting our siblings in this forum on this discussion? I figured it would be interesting to have others to research on this so we might have a accurate conclusion or at least try. Again hope you don't mind.

What if God made Evil so that Evil can exist and so that people can choose evil and others, by the fruit of their own effort, don't choose evil.
The instruction of not to follow evil is one thing, and its existence and who created it is another. How come you think this does not make sense ?

Of course I don't mind, there is no reason for me to mind.

Because honestly it would make Allah/God (SWTAY) look like a hypocrite because in many verses like 1690, 728, 2178, 4135 and 58 states he orders justice & goodness. And i have not seen any verse that really specifically states or indicates that He created evil.

P.S Sorry if i happen to repeat some phrases like orders justice & goodness. I just wan't to be clear.

Also if you have seen my last reply about 1630 indicates that goodness is from God. I have not seen a verse so far indicates that evil is from God unless i have missed one.

If God made the road to heaven possible and the road to hell possible, and left man at a crossroad ordering him to choose one path over the other, but still leaving the ultimate choice to man himself, how is God a hypocrite ?

You sadly just confused me there. It's person's own choice but still Allah's (SWTAY) divine commandments are clear in the Qur'an and it involves many good things like in 474-77

                  474
Falyuqatil fee sabeeli Allahiallatheena yashroona alhayata alddunyabial-akhirati waman yuqatil fee sabeeli Allahifayuqtal aw yaghlib fasawfa nu/teehi ajran AAatheeman
Let those who seek to purchase the Hereafter rather than this world fight in the cause of God. And whoever fights in the cause of God and is killed or attains victory, then We will grant him a great recompense.

                  475
Wama lakum la tuqatiloonafee sabeeli Allahi waalmustadAAafeena mina alrrijaliwaalnnisa-i waalwildani allatheenayaqooloona rabbana akhrijna min hathihialqaryati alththalimi ahluhawaijAAal lana min ladunka waliyyan waijAAallana min ladunka naseeran
And why do you not fight in the cause of God, when the weak among the men and women and children say "Our Lord, bring us out of this town whose people are wicked, and grant us from Yourself a supporter, and grant us from Yourself a victor!"

                  476
Allatheena amanoo yuqatiloonafee sabeeli Allahi waallatheena kafaroo yuqatiloonafee sabeeli alttaghooti faqatiloo awliyaaalshshaytani inna kayda alshshaytanikana daAAeefan
Those who believe fight in the cause of God, while those who reject fight in the cause of evil; so fight the supporters of the devil, for the planning of the devil is weak.

                  477
Alam tara ila allatheena qeelalahum kuffoo aydiyakum waaqeemoo alssalatawaatoo alzzakata falamma kutibaAAalayhimu alqitalu itha fareequn minhum yakhshawnaalnnasa kakhashyati Allahi aw ashaddakhashyatan waqaloo rabbana lima katabta AAalaynaalqitala lawla akhkhartana ila ajalinqareebin qul mataAAu alddunya qaleelun waal-akhiratukhayrun limani ittaqa wala tuthlamoonafateelan
Did you not see those who were told "Cease your aggression, and hold the following closely, and contribute towards purification." But when fighting was decreed for them, a group of them were concerned towards the people as they would have been concerned towards God or even more so. And they said "Our Lord, why did You decree fighting for us? If only You would delay for us until another time." Say "The enjoyment of this world is little, and the Hereafter is far better for those who are aware; you will not be wronged in the least."

To me that does not look like The Creator who create evil and orders us to do good & commit justice like rescuing oppressed innocent people.

You seem to think of EVIL as the evil people that God said to fight when they fight you and stuff like that ???

What about the Evil within man himself, the root of all evil ? Satan ?

Not just fight us, also oppressing innocents as well

                        2190
Waqatiloo fee sabeeli Allahiallatheena yuqatiloonakum wala taAAtadooinna Allaha la yuhibbu almuAAtadeena
And fight in the cause of God against those who fight you, but do not aggress, God does not love the aggressors.

                        2191
Waoqtuloohum haythuthaqiftumoohum waakhrijoohum min haythu akhrajookum waalfitnatuashaddu mina alqatli wala tuqatiloohum AAindaalmasjidi alharami hatta yuqatilookumfeehi fa-in qatalookum faoqtuloohum kathalikajazao alkafireena
And fight them wherever you encounter them, and expel them from where they expelled you, and know that persecution/oppression is worse than being killed. And do not fight them at the Restricted Temple unless they fight you in it; if they fight you then fight them, thus is the recompense of the rejecters.

                        2192
                        Fa-ini intahaw fa-inna Allahaghafoorun raheemun
And if they cease, then God is Forgiving, Merciful.

                        2193
Waqatiloohum hatta latakoona fitnatun wayakoona alddeenu lillahi fa-iniintahaw fala AAudwana illa AAala alththalimeena
And fight them so there is no more persecution, and so that the system is for God. If they cease, then there will be no aggression except against the wicked.

Now about the devil being our greatest evil, there are verses speaks about the devil being our clear enemy. See verses 2168, 2208, 6142, 722, 125, 1753, 2815, 356, 3660 and 4362. Now i must head to bed. Good night & Allah/God (SWTAY) bless you & your family.

Not being our greatest evil, but the one who "invites" people to evil. Didn't God create him and let him be on earth until an "appointed term" ?

                          Good night.

                            Brother The Sardar

Allah created everything. All His creation has potential for good as well as evil. It is the usage of creation that becomes good or bad. e.g. Allah created fire which gives out heat. We can use it to cook our food or keep ourselves warm etc OR we can use it to burn other things. So fire is not bad or good in itself but its usage make it good or bad. Same thing is in the subject verse.

                            1132

...From the evil of what he created...

So every creation has potential to become either good or bad. We have been given the free will to choose to use His creation either to do good or bad for us.

In Arabic singular masculine past tense has built in "" or "He" in it. So "" means "He Created".

                            Salaam

                                      ------The story of the devil-----

712 He said "What has prevented you from yielding when I have ordered you?" He said "I am far better than him, You created me from fire and created him from clay!"

713 He said "Descend from it, for it is not for you to be arrogant here; depart, for you are disgraced."

714 He said "Grant me respite until the Day they are resurrected?"

715 He said "You are granted."

716 He said "For that which You have caused me to be misled, I will stalk for them on Your straight path."

717 "Then I will come to them from between their hands, and from behind them, and from their right, and from their left; and You will find most of them unthankful."

718 He said "Get out from this, you are despised and banished. As for those of them who follow you, I will fill Hell with you all!"

That's not the devil, That's Iblis. I have not seen a verse that Iblis was called a devil, he was of The Jinn.
