Brother have a look at following verses

    3875-76 (&#65279
    SAHIH INTERNATIONAL
said, "O Iblees, what prevented you from prostrating to that which I created with My hands? Were you arrogant , or were you among the haughty?"
He said, "I am better than him. You created me from fire and created him from clay."

But it says Iblis, not the devil. I have not seen a verse calling Iblis as the devil. He was of the Jinn.

Same rule for both classical or standard Arabic.
Singular masculine past tense has built in "" or "He" in it. So "" means "He Created". No need to write "" seperately.

Are you sure about this? May i ask where did you get the information?

Also if you want to use then it is used with intermediary e.g. 229

Here is something i noticed, in 229 khalaqa (&#1602 is third person masculine singular perfect verb and in 1132 it's the exact grammar yet in 229 the translators didn't add the word "he". I find it interesting.

...From the evil of what he created...

Salam/Peace brother Novice. I just can't help but notice something. From the evil of WHAT he created, that gives me a odd question and i hope i am not making any bad observation, if this verse really confirms that Allah (SWTAY) really made evil, shouldn't it be From Evil of THAT he created. Again i hope i didn't make any bad observation. If i did then i apologize.

That's not the devil, That's Iblis. I have not seen a verse that Iblis was called a devil, he was of The Jinn.

I refered to Iblees as the devil, the terminology does not matter. That is the source of evil and he was created by God.

Do you expect to find "THE DEVIL" written in the quran to make the connection between the two ? Because it is not the same language.

Actually it does because Iblis & Shaytaan do not share the same root word

Ba-Lam-Siin = despair, give up hope, become broken (in spirit), mournful, become silent/confounded/perplexed unable to see right way or course, repent/grieve.

I told you that I meant Iblees, since debating whether the devil is iblees or not is a different topic.
And I already gave you the verses.

                              ------The story of the devil-----

712 He said "What has prevented you from yielding when I have ordered you?" He said "I am far better than him, You created me from fire and created him from clay!"

713 He said "Descend from it, for it is not for you to be arrogant here; depart, for you are disgraced."

714 He said "Grant me respite until the Day they are resurrected?"

715 He said "You are granted."

716 He said "For that which You have caused me to be misled, I will stalk for them on Your straight path."

717 "Then I will come to them from between their hands, and from behind them, and from their right, and from their left; and You will find most of them unthankful."

718 He said "Get out from this, you are despised and banished. As for those of them who follow you, I will fill Hell with you all!"

So let me reword things, for your own convenience.
God created Iblees and allowed him to operate on earth. Iblees invites people to evil.

And I already gave you the verses.
So let me reword things, for your own convenience.
God created Iblees and allowed him to operate on earth. Iblees invites people to evil.

But i still don't see the connection between Iblis and the devil. Besides the word shaytaan is not mentioned in the verse.

Also Iblis was of the Jinn

                                    1850
Wa-ith qulna lilmala-ikatiosjudoo li-adama fasajadoo illa ibleesa kanamina aljinni fafasaqa AAan amri rabbihi afatattakhithoonahuwathurriyyatahu awliyaa min doonee wahum lakumAAaduwwun bi/sa lilththalimeena badalan
And We said to the angels "Yield to Adam." So they all yielded except for Satan. He was of the Jinn, he disobeyed the order of his Lord. Will you take him and his progeny as allies besides Me, while they are your enemy? Miserable for the transgressors is the substitute!

Well you left out 711 for some reason

                                      711
Walaqad khalaqnakum thumma sawwarnakumthumma qulna lilmala-ikati osjudoo li-adamafasajadoo illa ibleesa lam yakun mina alssajideena
And We created you, then We shaped you, then We said to the angels "Yield to Adam;" so they yielded except for Iblis, he was not of those who yielded.

Remember this as well, it's important to this as well.

Actually it does because Iblis & Shaytaan do not share the same root word

Ba-Lam-Siin = despair, give up hope, become broken (in spirit), mournful, become silent/confounded/perplexed unable to see right way or course, repent/grieve.

Shiin-Tay-Nun (root of shaytan) = become distant/far/remote, enter firmly / become firmly fixed therein / penetrate and be concealed, turn away in opposition (from direction/aim), devil, one excessively proud/corrupt, unbelieving/rebellious/insolent/audacious/obstinate/perverse, rope, deep curved well, it burned, became burnt, serpent, any blameable faculty or power of a man.

shaytan n.m. It has been suggested the root is Shiin-Ya/Alif-Tay, see the following note from Lane here.

I told you though.... I did not intend to bring up a discussion whether iblees is shaytan or not.

It's iblees who misleads people to doing wrong but he was created by God though. Do you have an objection ?
