    Peace all,

The "fluent" arab who does not know 2 of the meanings of "lamma" and earlier proved his own blindness, now becomes blind yet again !!

As anyone with eyes can see that I said IF Abraham believed only in The God does not make him a mumin. The blind Arab cannot see the "if" there.

Secondly, the context of 2260 clearly shows that the belief being talked about is the belief in resurrection and not general belief, but I guess the blind "fluent" arab cannot even see that, or maybe his Arabic is miserable.

The blind arab struck out yet again.

    Keep them coming

I think you are right about "lamma". Verses 1013, 2101, 1177, 2933, 4083 seem to confirm it. But I will have to check the usage of this word in other verses as well before I can be sure.

      Thanks for pointing that out.

      No worries bro

      Lamma means "When"

Please don't believe that ignorant deciever who is lying and telling us Ibrahim was not a Mumin, that was funny man, he is really dumb

      Salam

        Peace all,

I never said Abraham was not a mumin. The blind "fluent" arab who does not know 2 of the meanings of "lamma" cannot see what I wrote, confirming his blindness yet again !!

This is what I also wrote in my relevant post which the blind arab cannot see

Of course, later Abraham must have become a mumin also, and even when he was a mumin he was still also a muslim !

Anyone can go to that post of mine and verify it !

The blind arab struck out yet again !!

          Hello All

Let?s look at the following verse that should expose that manipulator of a jerk

Certainly Allah conferred a benefit upon the believers when He raised among them a Messenger from among themselves, reciting to them His communications and purifying them, and teaching them the Book and the wisdom, although before that they were surely in manifest error.

          (164)

See the verse is talking about the Mumineen ? Certainly Allah conferred a benefit upon the believers when He raised among them a Messenger from among themselves, reciting to them His communications and purifying them, and teaching them the Book and the wisdom,?

Now according to that ignorant deceiver, before thief belief they should be Muslims, and that in no way can be a status of manifest error, however Allah is telling us that those believers before they believer were in manifest error ? although before that they were surely in manifest error.?, how come being a Muslim before being a believer is a status of manifest error for all those believers?

Surely you need to believe in someone before you submit to him, and before you believe you are in manifest error not a Muslim

See how the Quran is exposing that ignorant manipulator of a lying low human?

          Salam all

            Peace all,

The blind "fluent" arab who does not know 2 of the meanings of "lamma", yet again proves his blindness and miserable Arabic.

Anyone can see that in 3164 "before that they were in manifest error" refers to the time before the messenger was raised among them, and at that time they were neither muslim nor mumin because the messenger was not there !!

The blind arab struck out once again !

                Peace all,

Hmmm ...... The blind arab who does not know 2 other meanings of "lamma" seems to have run out of gas !!

I already showed from al-qur'aan how "lamma" also means "not".

                  Hello Tanveer

look at you deciever in action, you wrote this a couple of months ago on my web site

                  Salaam (peace) all,

I am a truthseeker who discovered the true islam a couple of years ago when I actively started the process to understand Allah's true revelations in the Qur'aan. Before that, I had been following the sunni sectarian islam all my life. My native language is Urdu which has the same script as Arabic and because of that I could always recite the Qur'aan fluently without understanding most of it !

I used to blindly follow the flawed interpretations of the so called islamic scholars and their mistranslations of the Qur'aan and the unverifiable "hadeeth" of the Prophet Muhammad and what I learned from school and my parents and friends, instead of trying to find and understand the true meaning of Allah's revelations in the Qur'aan. I was, in other words, following what I had no knowledge of and not using my mind, reason and logic in the right way as Allah has commanded in 1736, which was the reason of my misguidance. I was, however, always suspicious of certain things in the sectarian islam which never made any sense to me, including the contradictory hadeeth and the various contradictory sects, and used to question them. Somehow, by Allah's will, I discovered the free-minds.org forum about 2 1/2 years ago and have been actively reading the various articles there and participating in discussions on that forum. This has been invaluable in helping me discover the true islam and improve my understanding of Allah's true revelations, even though I do not agree with some interpretations on that website. It is better late than never and I thank Allah for eventually guiding me to the truth and the straight path.

I am always in search of the truth and look forward to having constructive discussions about the truth in this forum in an open and free manner and learning from others. Open discussion is invaluable in improving one's understanding of the Qur'aan and the Deen of Islam.

I have known brother Ahmed from the free-minds forum. Due to some personal reasons I was away from that forum for some time and when I came back, I was shocked and saddened to find that brother Ahmed had left that forum. I was hoping he would come back but when he continued to be absent I actively started lookin for him and thus found this forum and am glad to have found him again.

I have participated in discussions with brother Ahmed in the other forum and appreciate his knowledge of the Arabic language and his understanding of the Qur'aan, and have benefitted from it. Even though we have had some heated discussions and have differed on certain topics, we have always respected each other. I am indebted to brother Ahmed for helping me improve my understanding about certain Qur'aanic topics and have missed him on the other forum. I sincerely hope that he will reconsider his decision of leaving the other forum and will start contributing to it again by sharing his insights, comments, view points and understandings with the thousands of people that frequent the other forum.

I also look forward to enjoying my stay here on this forum and learning from others through constructive discussions about the truth from our Lord.

May Allah guide us all to the truth so we can submit to Him according to His will and follow the straight path.

                  Best regards,

                  Tanveer

See how double faced, confused and hypcrite you are, however your honesty that you know nothing abot Arabic is appreciated but that does not deny the facct that you are double faced and a deceiver and those low humans has no place on free-islam.com

At that time I didn't know that the "fluent" arab who does not know other meanings of "lamma" either deliberately deceives others or has miserable Arabic and he had not proved his blindness.

                      Peace,

Regarding 'Lamma', this what 'Dictionary of quran" by Abdul Mannan says on pg 518

"Conjection preceding the perfect to give the meanings of not yet, when, after that, but, only, since, because."

                      My 2 cents

Any one of us will at any given time do what he believes is the best thing to do. If any one of us believes that it's best to submit to god, then he will submit to god. However, in order to select god from everything else that he can submit to, he has first to believe in god and that god is the best choice. How can someone willfully submit to something they don't believe in?

I believe conflict is occuring because 'islam' is being understood as a 'robotic' condition in which the submittee is 'mindless'/beliefless.

And conflict is occuring because 'iman' is being understood as if it is a spur-of-the-moment kind of thing. This is completely wrong.

The spur-of-the-moment kind of belief if what precedes 'islam'. It is "belief in the unseen" as it is still an idea which you are going to put to trial by submitting to it and see its effects.

Then comes solid belief, which forms from experience and proof. That is when you become involved with iman.

So to conclude, both islam and iman have their share of belief involved, but the former requires less, whilst the latter is harder to acquire. It's like doctors and nurses.

                      Nadeem

also Lamma is called Harf Gazm, i,e, it will be stating a fact

The blind "fluent" arab finally admits his error !! I hope The God guides him so he can admit his other deceptions too, and I also hope The God cures his blindness.

Notice how he is till trying to deceive others by saying that "lamma" must mean "when" in 4914 thereby creating a contradiction in al-qur'aan, for example with 2853.

it seems I stepped on the deciever nerve

who is the confused in here?

Nadeem showed us from a book that Lamma has 6 uses

remember what the deciver told us before about Lamma?, he lied and said it has 3 uses, haha

                              Slam dunk

                                Peace all,

The blind "fluent" arab shows his blindness yet again. As everyone can see that I have been saying all along that the blind arab does not know the other meanings of "lamma", and I also showed that IN AL-QUR'AAN, at least 3 meanings of "lamma" have been used.

Actually the blind arab had been saying all along that "lamma" has only one meaning, and he claims he is "fluent" in Arabic, so anyone can see who is the deceiver here !!

Either he is "fluent" and is DELIBERATELY deceiving others, or he is a liar and is not "fluent". Either way he deceived !!

Actually, by just admitting his error and accepting that "lamma" can have more than one meaning, he showed he is not "fluent" in Arabic, so he himself proved he is a liar AND a deceiver !!!!

The blind arab struck out yet again

                                    Peace be upon you all,

I only read the first page of posts but wanted to give my understanding.

This discussion stems from two basic words, salaam and amana(?), which is peace and trust/faith/belief. The prefix "mu" added to these words means that the person has taken on these characteristics, hence muslim is one who is peaceful/at peace (state of mind as Wakas pointed out in the first post) and muhmeen is one who trusts.

What is the real difference in these concepts? Peace is a state of mind. Anyone can be peaceful, no matter what religion that subscribe to or wherever they live. Peace is the ultimate state of mind where no thing can effect your mood and cause you to act emotionally. But there is more that is supossed to flow from that state of being at Peace.

You can be at peace, but still CHOOSE(heart is a symbolism of the free will) the wrong path because you are not basing your choices on TRUTH(observable, verifyable LAW), but instead you are guessing.

(4914)....said "We trust/believe." Say "You did not trust/believe, and but say 'We are peaceful' and the trust/belief did not enter in your hearts.....

The state of peace is the foundation of spiritual work...but once you are at peace, then you must begin the real work of CHOOSING based on LAW, not based on emotions. It is a process of reprogramming the subconcious(salaat).

We are suppossed to be those who observe the law, then TRUST in that LAW...because we know that God's LAW does not change...that is why God's help comes through PATIENCE and Salaat (reporgramming of subconcious). One has to TRUST in the LAW because the effect does not always come right away, so we need patience.

This discussion stems from two basic words, salaam and amana(?), which is peace and trust/faith/belief.

                                      Hello

                                      The above is 100% WRONG

                                      it sould be like this

"This discussion stems from two basic words, ASLAMA and amana(?), which is submit/trust and faith/belief"

You will never be able to convince true Muslims that Islam means peace

This is just a wishful thinking on your side

                                      Cheers

my arabic isn't amazing so i need to ask

i learned that the roots of words don't have any alif so wouldn't both submit (aslam) and peace (salam) both come from the same root seen lam meem?

                                          Salam sister BOOST

we were never taught in Arabic that the root is required to find the meaning of Arabic words, the root more or less is a set of letters that will go well togther to make words out of it, and the momemnt the new words are derived, they have theor indepnedent meanning from thaty point onwards

the words Aslam means only to submit to Allah, and this is how it was stated meny times in the Quran

the words Salam is another word that means greeting

the word Silm is the one that the Quran used to mean peace

the word Sillim which is exactly as the word Silm, (same letters exactly " Sin Lam and Mim" and the Quran used TWICE and it means LADDER, this is enough to prove to you that the root thingy has nothing to do with the meaning of the Arabic words

my comment to Idolefree was to inform him that he is mixed up between peace and islam, because he is using peace insetad of submission to Allah and he is insisting on this non sesne which contradict the Quran for months if noot years, obvioulsy he does not want to learn

                                          Salam
