"RECITING THE SALAAT IN A MEDIUM TONE
    Source text Qur 17110

RABBI AUDHU BIKA MIN HAMADHATI ASH SHAYATIYN
    O my Lord! I seek refuge in Thee from the evil suggestions of the devils;
WA AUDHU BIKA RABBI AN YAHDURUNI
And I seek refuge in Thee, O my Lord, from their presence.

    STANDING IN SALAT
    Source text Qur 2238; 339; 4102
    SEEKING REFUGE
    Source text Qur 1698; 2397-98

    First Unit - (Recitation)
It is a common practice to recite Surah al Faatihah, which is to be followed by personal readings from the Quraan in the first two units.
    First Surah (Surah al Faatihah)

    BISMILLAH AL RAHMAN AL RAHIM.
In the Name of Allah, the most Compassionate, the Merciful
AL HAMDULILLAHI RAB BIL AALAMEEN. AL RAHMAN AL RAHIM
All praises belong to Allah the Cherisher, the Sustainer, Developer and Perfector of the worlds, the most Compassionate, The Merciful
MALIKI YAWMID DIN. IYYA KA NA'BUDU WA IYYA KA NASTA'EEN.
Master of the Day of Judgement. Thee only do we Worship, and Thee alone do we ask for help
IHDI NAS SIRATAL MUSTAQEEMA SIRAT AL LAZEENA AN AMTA ALAY HIM
Keep us along the straight path, the path of those whom Thou has blessed
GHAIRIL MAGHDHOOBI ALAIHIM WAL LADH DHAL LEEN.
Not of those whom Thou art angry, nor of those who go astray.
READING SURA 1, FAATIHAH Souce tesxt Quraan 1; 1587; 237

Ruku Then descend to a sitting position with hands on you knees and say

AL HAMDULILLAH ALA DHEE LAM YATA KHID WALAD DAN
All praise be to GOD, who has never taken for Himself a child,
WA LAM YAKUN LAHU SHAREEK UN FIL AL MULKI
Nor to Him is a Partner in the Kingdom (of Heaven)
WA LAM YAKUN LAHU WALI UN MIN AD DHULLI
Nor to Him is a Protector from weakness.
    READING VERSE IN SALAAT
    Source text Qur 17110-111

Sajdah (Go down to sajdah so that the forehead touches the place of sajdah directly)

SUB HANA RABBINA IN KANA WADU RABBINA LAMAF ULAAN
Glory to our Lord! Verily the promise of our Lord must be fulfilled.
    SAYING SUBHANA WHILE IN SAJDAH
    Source text Qur 17110-111

The Second Unit This is exactly the same as the first unit. Of course after Fatihah, (if known) other chapters/verses of Quraan should be recited.

    TWO UNIT PRAYER
    Source Text4100-104

End Of Prayer After your Sajdah your Salaat is now complete."
To those who disagree as to a physical salaat or ritual, there is no way that they will agree to this or any ritual. However as to those who claim they "ONLY FOLLOW WHAT THE QURAAN SAYS", well with the exception of saying Alhamdullillah while in ruku, this is what the quran says.
As to the sectarians who claim how do we observe a salaat based off the quraan alone, here you go.

Its been a while since I posted. I hope that what I've posted here is a spark to finally get a unified practice of worship among us quran alone muslims started.

And again, individuals who believe the salaat is not a ritual I'm familiar with your ideas and postings. So there is really no need to post your arguments over and over agin here when there is a search box at the upper right hand corner of the screen if people want to read them. This is only being posted to start a realistic dialogue on how we can observe salaat as to those of us who actually understand it to be a daily occurring rite.

    Ma salaams to all

The number of units has been an issue for me. However

I cannot see how the above means two units. Please explain...will be much appreciated.

              Alright, bear with me here.

2238, 339, 4102 make it clear there is a standing up salat.

How did you derive seeking refuge from 2397-98, it seems those verses have nothing to do with salat (1698 makes it clear regardless)?

              1587 -
YUSUFALI And We have bestowed upon thee the Seven Oft-repeated (verses) and the Grand Qur'an.
              87

How did you derive Al-Fatiha as those "seven/several" verses, also from 237?

Then sujood from 17110, again, how? If I were to take these verses the way I percieve you to have done, it would appear I have to prostrate while simultaneously standing and seeking refuge from shaitan (17109 = prostration?). Also, why to the forehead when it is translated as face/chin?

Also, how does 4102 show two rakat when it simply shows the example of an army switching rows?

              Thanks.

So why halt progress by adding another apparent method of salat? I can imagine it now Welcome to FM, please leave your shoes and preconcieved notions at the door.

                      are numbers really that important?

does God look at numbers or what's inside the heart?

                        Peace to all.

The ritual I detailed was a product of my researches as a faithful quraan alone muslim.
The truth is that people will spend countless hours trying to uncover the proper way of performing salaat according to the Quraan. Unfortunately they will never find it.
The Quraan is not an educational text, meaning there is nothing in the Quraan which is truly new. It's all about clarifying the mistakes of the past communities and explaining the nature of Allah. So you will never find a detailed explanation of Salaat, nor how to give Zakaat, or even the process of becoming a Muslim (shahaadah).
The Quraan is a wonderful and edifying scripture. It must however take its place alongside the other scritpures of Allah.
                        Have a wonderful day,
                        Talib ben Abraham

                            Salaam

What is the connection between the times of Fajr and Isha/Evening Salat and the times of start of fast and breaking fast as for the Quran? How will these time rules apply to salat and sawm in different locations in the world and in different periods and seasons of the year?

Also do you think we can follow times specified in the Quran for salat and fasting if we follow the lunar calendar?

So, why should we then turn towards the lunar system to decide the month of fasting?)

                              Is this your question?

I believe the year has to be Solar.

My issue is how will the times of Salat and Sawm be determined depending on which part of the world you live in and which time of the year without contradicting the Quran.

                                  peace warner, all,

Do you mean in those places without the usual sunrise/sunset routine, e.g. some Scandinavian countries in certain parts of the year which do not experience proper sunrise/sunset?

All information is correct to the best of my knowledge only and thus should not be taken as a fact. One should always seek knowledge and verify for themselves when possible: 17:36, 20:114, 35:28, 49:6, 58:11.

You are right. What I was trying to question is the times for Salat and Sawm can not contradict (or become practically impossible) to the times mentioned in the Quran just because our location on earth and the time of the year.

I am not talking about the extreme such as the people in the space or the poles since people usually do not live there (or a very small minority) but I am thinking about locations such as Scandinavian countries and even places like Australia, Falkland islands on the south.

                                      peace,

As far as I'm aware to abstain/sawm is only for those who witness the month/full-moon, thus if you do not witness it, you do not abstain/sawm in it. Also, it gives options if one is ill, not sure about generally unable, as I haven't studied it.

And as for the regular/timed salat/bond, I am only aware of one usage in a plural audience address and that is 2458. In this verse, the sun is not directly mentioned, thus I take it to mean at the start and end of your day, whenever your day is. When I say plural address I mean to the mumineen (and referring to timing), not general usage.

All information is correct to the best of my knowledge only and thus should not be taken as a fact. One should always seek knowledge and verify for themselves when possible: 17:36, 20:114, 35:28, 49:6, 58:11.

                                          peace,

What is the possibility for someone not to witness a month?

It depends on what timing mechanism you use. If it is the moon/sun and the usual cycle is not present where you live, then you may not witness it.

How about times of start and end of fasting for different locations on Earth?

Well different locations would start and end their sawm at different times, based on the sunrise/sunset times.

Thanks for explaining your view on salat. My view on salat is different so I will not discuss salat with you here .

I agree, our view on what salat is not really important if discussing timing issues only.

All information is correct to the best of my knowledge only and thus should not be taken as a fact. One should always seek knowledge and verify for themselves when possible: 17:36, 20:114, 35:28, 49:6, 58:11.
