Islamic home is one that is a peaceful place to reside in. I carry my Koran in my mind/heart/soul mainly and physically, well it is not in the greatest shape with the covers torn (should try taping it again one of these days), tears have blotted some pages, some pages are folded, others have stickies, pencil marks drawing attention to certain ayats....pretty worn out/used over time.

Peace Freshmad I am not any more biased to my own views than you are to yours. And you say that the haidth and qurans explains everything that is going on in this world. Theres a bunch of drivel in the first hour that is definitly not based on the quran, or even has anything to do with the hadith. I am going assuming the other 7 or so hours are pretty much the same. The makers of that movie used images that they knew would offend the majority of thier viewers (women artists dressed in a certain way, 2 women kissing), and then followed it by images of children glued to the tv to add to the sensationalism, and then interspersed it with thier own mindwashing agenda. Unfortunately, you cannot see it. Any cultural group, empire, civilisation we have ever had in this world has been good and bad, and have persued thier own interests. Thats the reality of the world we live in. The American empire is no exception. Theres a lot to learn from, and a lot to criticize, in every culture that exists. They do not come around often. I think I've invested in 2 in 10 months. The average APR equivalent is 37% pa on Kiva. If a bank tried to charge that kind of interest rate on a loan in the UK they'd be riots in the streets. I though Kiva was different. I even put a spiel about the bankers in my profile. Peace all, I would like to add a comment to what has been said, the problem with the formula "allahu akbar" is grammaticaly incorrect because it is not a complete sentence. I found the same problem with "allaha subhanhu wa ta'ala" this is an incomplete sentence, full sentence can be found in AQ or with "salla llahu alayhi wa salam" another incomplete formula, full sentence should be something like this "salla llahu alayhi wa sallama Allahu alayhi" When speaking to any "traditionnalist" they just say "yes but it is obvious the "end of the sentence" is implicit", or it is just to avoid repetition rotfl Peace

I believe you're taking these verses too literally. In Muhammad's (pbuh) time taking a non-Muslim as a friend meant something ENTIRELY different than it does in this day and age. The tribes of the Arabian peninsula wanted our Prophet and his followers dead at that time they did not want another group to challenge their wealth, power, or right to authority. At that time when the religion of Islam was still being established in the land and people were leaving their families and their homes to follow the Prophet the atmosphere was much much different than we can even imagine. Taking a non-Muslim as a friend during that time could very well mean treason with the Jewish tribes and the other Arabian tribes working together to exterminate the Prophet and his Companions (pbut). Why would God allow us Muslim men to take Jewish and Christian wives if we aren't even allowed to FRATERNIZE with people of other faiths my friend? Or do you put the People of the Book in a different category as other 'disbelievers'? Friendship is two way. The one who believes in allah and obeys as mentioned in the verses is a friend for another. If not then that person obviously becomes a friend of the devil. If a christian or jew doesn't obey allah etc etc, then of course they cannot be called a christian or a jew, or well as the quran mentions "people of the book", especially if they do not obey the book. you should take a look at that video tho. it explains alot. Prophet Muhammed did not know the future according to Allah's words. I trust Allah's words when He tells us Prophet Muhammed does not know the future. I've not seen the video but I can remember reading sometime ago about dajjal and the one eye which many traditionalists say predicts the one eye on the dollar bill. What those people fail to remember is that the one eye is an occult symbol used long before Prophet Muhammed and may very well have been used by the elite back then. Thus it does not make hadith collections about the future correct which on the other hand the quran has 'signs' about the future so I know which one I will stick with. peace PEACE
