Many of those who follow volumes of hearsay fabrications titled hadith (sayings falsely attributed to Muhammad), surely will fall for stories like this without questioning them. This is one of the many fabricated contemporary hadith, like the conversion stories about Neil Armstrong and Captain Custo in the past. Browsing the list of patents issued in a particular week, one will notice that the followers of hadith and sunna are in the bottom of the list despite their more than a billion population, which they brag about. Since Muslims abandoned the Quran and followed hadith and sunna instead, they have lost their leadership in science and technology. Now they suffer from inferiority complex and resort to delusion and self-deception. What a disgrace! Peace Lots of sports have people hurting other people in various ways and hurting their bodies in order to compete, like in tennis, speed walking, or whatever. I do not think it is forbidden. Joe Sallam all; If you are a Boxer, your intention, when in the ring, to hurt your challanger; but the other sports you mentioned do not have the same intention. peace

Im going to take this oppritunity to hijack you topic, and yet stay relatively on topic. ---thank you. I remember a saying from quite some time ago that we are all born insane. I've thought over this for a while and concluded that its relatively true. Think, what is insanity?(Or in this case, the American legal definition) The inability to understand right from wrong, right? Well, the interpretation of morality and legality has always diffired between each culture. Therefore, there is no absolute true definition of truth, justice, law, crime, etc. in known existance. ---beyond relative truth is the Absolute. Now very good that you've mentioned the definition. The human mind has just one skill - The Lie. ---this may sound very insane, but it is the only firnament from the Presence of Lord. ---this is the key, beyond mind is the bliss, and one is able not to be limited with own meanings and definitions. Besides our own instincts on fairness, we must learn what honor, justice, and equality is. So in fact, we are all born insane. We just find ways to rid ourselves of it. Either through religion or otherwise. ---i'd observe that we are born pure, but parents quickly program babies with their insanity - hypnotic protocol. ---This is where the Word of GOD, challenges a person to the bones. salaam That's really interesting and clear, thanks alot brother one of the law that god made is gravity, and men are surely bound to gravity even against their own will right. but men in general are not forced to follow the straight path i believe every living thing submits to God even if these living things don't want to, through His laws like with gravity or the shadow they cast

been a while since the last time i visited this forum, few years back when i was searching for answers in life. in many ways, questions were answered after i found this website and some other progressive islam sites, as a matter of fact, i dont were hijab anymore, i dont do my prayers no more, i tried to eat pork (but got to quit coz of my cholesterol), tried some wine and beer (but didn't like the taste), i'm not even fasting this month of ramadhan. i dont know if i went overboard with my 'liberating' adventures, but i do know that after a while i started to feel like something is missing... i started to miss the rituals i used to do, started to miss my hijab, started to long the noise of azan from the mosques (don't hear it here in the US). i just feel like i want to go back to my old life being a 'regular' muslim (which was a sunni,btw) not principally perhaps, merely nostalgic. dunno if any of you got the same kind of feelings i do, guess it's just a temporary drawback (hopefully...) If you want to became 'sunni' again.. feel free to do so!! What's stopping you??? It's not wrong to do the sunni's cultural habit, if you found peace and happiness in doing it. What's wrong is; if you're intolerance to other people's culture! (2267-69) PS From my perspective I still enjoy and love the long, highly-pitched and wailing azan, and found my self longing for such azan when I'm abroad. But now I don't believe that it will repel Shaytan/Devil, as I once believed when I was a Sunni. I'm also still fasting on Ramadhan, doing shalat rites as my sunni's teacher once told me to do when I was a kid. The same cultural rites, but the perspective and meaning now is different. I'm now doesn't feel 'terrorized' that God will burn me in hell if I missed one shalat or missed a fasting day.. As shalat, fasting and rites are actually FOR YOURSELF / FOR YOUR OWN SPIRITUAL ENHANCEMENT. Salam / Peace

Peace be upon you Samia, what is the wisdom behind a virgin mother for us except that (nowadays) her husband is semi impotent? No wisdom at all, exactly. However there is no wisdom if she had a husband either, is there? The wisdom is in the understanding of the nafs(subconcious) and how to get away from the traditional conditioning of the majority, to seperate from that and connect with wise counsel , someone who will plant the correct seeds in your mind which will give birth to the right ideas. Behavior shaping psychology is the topic of this message, when we keep that in mind the message becomes clearer.

"The role of Persians in the history of Arabic literature, especially philology and grammar, is too well known to be catalogued. The early writers of Arabic grammars, usch as Sibawaih, were Persians. Even if the words vizier 'minister'and divan 'bureau' were not Persian in origin the instutitions at least under the 'Abbasids were Sasanian in inspiritation. Where else would the caliphs find models for the protocol and the ceremonial of their courts? After all the Arabs conquere only some provinces of the Byzantine empire, but they conquered all of the Sasanian empire with all of its imperial traditions. The association of state and religion implicit in Islam found an imperial model in the Persians books of Andars or 'counsel' derived from Sasanian originals. There was a literary movement in the time of the 'Abbasids which was called the Shu'ubiyya, or the nationalist school. I believe the problem has been approached with a misleading emphasis, as though the philo-Persian literati were trying to wreck the structure of Islam when they introduced Persian ideas and instutions into Islamic culture, or Persian words into Arabic. By the time of the 'Abbasids the question at stake was not Islam or Iran, but rather a Persianised, international Islam or a narrow Arab Islam. The philo-Persians were reading the signs of the time; they were the wave of the future, while narrow Arab interests were provincials and in a sense reactionary against the real destiny or genius of Islam. HAR Gibb made an acute observation, when he said that the issue at stake was whether the new Islamic society was to become a re-embodiment of the old Perso-Aramaean culture into the Arabic and Islamic elements would be absorbed, or a culture in which the Perso-Aramaean contributions would be subordianted to the Arab tradition and the Islamic values. In the case of Persia there was no question, but that the former view should previal, while in the Arabic-speaking parts of the caliphate it would seem the later triumphed." (p. 277-279)

That's not an uncommon thing in language. We on this forum jump back and forth between saying 'God' and 'Allah', even though they mean the same thing. There are plenty of people in our society who don't realise they mean the same thing and who could get very confused about it. The way the two are terms are used interchangably in the same verse may indeed be intended to emphasise how they are the same, in that a husband is someone protected/possessed by his wife's right hand/oaths.

School children in their early teens do not have the financial nor intellectual capacity to look after children, Mr Deen, nor the emotional maturity to agree to the commitment marriage requires of them. Laws against child sex rightly protect them against abuse.

Quran alone muslim, seems like a good description to me. Muslim however is not noun. I don't see the point in refering to oneself as Muslim. After all the Koran also uses Mu'min much more than Muslims. It will only spread confusion and make us less visible more than we already are.

Peace; Sorry, it is 3-7 and not 2-7. It is very important to understand when people do that and how. For example the Hadith Sects use the verses that says "Obay Allah and His Messanger" to cancel out all the well-established verses that shows that the Messanger followed the Quran guidences. The people who kill innconts ; the Sect that cancel out the fasting of blinds ,and make people fast in different time, and make fasting for ten days; Code 19 that canceled 9-128 and 129; all the apove sects share a common tactic "Verse 3-7" tactic. peace 4115 As for him who opposes the messenger, after the guidance has been pointed out to him, and follows other than the believers' way, we will direct him in the direction he has chosen, and commit him to Hell; what a miserable destiny! peace
