Re harsh From http//www.quran434.com/wife-beating-islam.html#part2 "...then/so you shall advise them..." (Arabic ithoo, root Waw-Ayn-Za), and does not indicate in a harsh manner, as can be seen by its occurrences in The Quran, for example 3113-19. The "fa" meaning then/so means whatever follows can only apply to the wife in whom the husband fears nushuz, not others. It also implies that what follows is a sequential order of recommendations and not simultaneous. If you read what Luqman says to his son in those verses above it doesn't come across as harsh, but I do think it could be a stern admonition/advice (theoretically) but not sure I'd use "harsh". Of course "harsh" is a subjective term. Someone might think it is harsh, others not.

Thats true, but the ones that believe otherwise, wouldn't they find religions attractive? Yes, we tend to look for a spiritual home to give our lives meaning one which we can understand the world we live in. peace

Peace Bender. According to my understanding the donkey is saying this In the end, we will remember not the words of those who talk too much hatred, but the silence of those who are too busy helping others. A wise donkey if you ask me! GOD bless you. Peace. Peace Sulayman, I knew he/she had something interesting to say )

We should be Holy as God is Holy... Isn't that advice from the Bible? And what does it mean then? Yes, it means that we should imitate the way of God.

Which is not entirely bad or evil.. thanks to such behaviour, human managed to survive over their hostile and dangerous environment and reproduce to around 7.4 Billion now and growing... I do not really agree with you, Jafar. Survival and excellency in humans is due to their elevated spiritual mind enabling free-thinking. The instinct accounts for nothing good but it is what causes the negative things you see in society and has seen for millennia.

wow What do you do on your free time if everything is instinct? I try to help people on places like this. Decipher Quran in a huge reinterpretation project. I work. I watch the news. I play a city planner on the computer just to work on my logic and perhaps a little for entertainment but who says entertainment is forbidden, even God had humor in creating much of what is in the world. I have thought of skipping the game though even if it is just a few hours per week, and it helps me stress down. I have begun to avoid shooting games even so-called PvE (player versus environment) while I had already stopped PvP long ago. I avoid movies focused on violence and I do not watch a game where I seek one to defeat another (I have no favorite team). I seek to reject anything which is competition so to say because it is clearly in the instinct. Avoiding the instinct is easy. Just avoid what makes Homo Sapiens an animal. Be well Amenuel

I'm just not sure tbh... Bottom line is I don't know how into Jainism he is. He is quite into the non violence thing in regards to many things like not killing animals and such. But he said "we don't believe in a god... We don't believe in a creator, but we believe everyone can perfect their souls to become a god"... I'm like.... Right..... Roger we have a problem... They are a little wrong. There is a "God" of sorts, it is just that the God does not work like people usually think. God is a symbiotic phenomenon incorporating successful beings in existence. Therefore the original argument was that "God is one", God is a unity, there is nothing but God. However this has been misinterpreted in two or more directions. Rabb exists for sure and it is like Brahman in Hinduism, it is about becoming one with Rabb or as it is technically written "allah a'had". We must cease our false identity and find our universal self in God where we have a share of the oneness if we manage to be being at all. It is about growing from within God into someone while simultaneously in another "dimension" being conscious in an illusion and an interaction there which disturbs the spiritual growth in God. Failed subjects are just poof deleted, eventually. No eternal meaningless torture. It is disgraceful enough through contemplation to reflect on what will happen to you if you fail. It is a strange true reality we live in with two conflicting parameters. One one side the calling body with its Satan and on the other a not calling God waiting for the subjects to use their innately growing spiritual ability to distinguish between the two worlds. The body and its entertainment and pleasures is a dead end for humans, but they must understand it. Between the two dimensions you are, deluded intentionally and must find the proper way. You have help from insightful men/women of the past and the present, but you must also distinguish between the falsely insightful and those who are truly insightful. The truly insightful might not make much noise and are often persecuted because of deluded humans clinging unto their worldly beliefs. It is good to not seek to defeat animals. The hunting is sinful. The eaters of the meat do not directly sin, but they support the hunter in his sinning. He is sinning due to the instinct to hunt and defeat. Sinning = Succumbing to the instinct. Vegetarians are therefore more helpful towards sinners, but then again it is a slight defeat of the plant in question too, however I doubt no one gets an instinctive thrill from picking a plant. It is all about the triggered instinct. Be well Amenuel

Kitaab is not books, it is knowledge of God's laws that He rveals to humans. And all people have received God's books. It is not something particular to a certain ethnia or tribes. And there cannot be any inconsistency in God's laws. Salaam Applause. Surely "Kateb" is not book but more like record and could refer to someone's "knowledge bank". That the word became synonymous with book might be because one lazily referred to it as "a record" linguistically but it turned out to eventually connote book which comes across incorrectly when deciphering Quran which uses the word properly. I would say Kateb does not always refer to the explicit knowledge of God but it simply refers to something similar to knowledge in general. For example, David/Dawood was given Al-kateb Wa Al-Hakmateh which might translate as "knowledge and wisdom". So David was taught many things which served him well. And knowledge and wisdom is better than any materials in the world. Secondly, the usage of Al-kateb as book does not sound natural in the contexts. Quran was evidently made written about 1400-1600 years ago and the modern Arabic script emerged around that time (from between 200 AD to 500AD), but still previous prophets were seemingly taught "the book" thousands of years earlier. Then it does not sound logical to translate Kateb as book. And there does not exist any copies of any earlier script displaying exactly what Quran says, not even fragments of one book, so the probability that Quran was made earlier is very low. If you find a translation of "portion of Al-kateb" this means "a portion of knowledge". Be well Amenuel

I can't say it but it involved genitals in the swearing... wow Seems worse than what I collected over the years. Reel, you shouldn't promote or approach people...it's useless! People will seek the truth and find it if they want to, other than that leave them be. I have a sufi friend, he keeps listening to this song where the singer keeps praising their leader in Iran, I started to question his beliefs and in the end what he said was "I feel comfortable like this" lol he told me he doesnt whatever his leader tells him at the mosque no questions asked. I don't feel sorry for these people, they want to live like sheep or dogs, it's their choice. Another major point is that, how can we preach when we might be wrong. There is so much to learn and everybody should find his/her truth their own way. I know it doesn't work. So yeah, it is useless. Also of course, I have very less time right now. I feel though that we should use social media to promote the movement. Let people find our memes and verify them. Talking probably won't work. I must admit its a vast topic which cannot be covered in a conversation and for some people, religion is a matter of ego. They won't refute what you say, but they'll argue for argument's sake.

Minus the arrogance and over confidence such as I will do this, you'll see! or No one can stop me from doing this! Humility has to be added to 3146 And when they went forth to (face) Jalut and his troops they said, "Our Lord! Pour on us patience and make firm our feet, and help us against the people (who are) disbelieving."250 It is like being patient by asking Allah to be with us. I know this can be tough for all of us sometimes. During the stressful situation and when things don't work the way we want, faith in Allah can crack. It seems Prophets felt it also. Otherwise, of course, this prayer, "Pour upon us patience and cause us to die (as) Muslims" would have been added to verse 7126. We occasionally saw the crack on this forum. ps great topic!

LQtoronto.com does have a download section (do not watch other parts of the website - since not everything on it is good). In it you can find nearly the whole Madinah sets of books. Some one on free-mind gave that site to me. It was worth it. Especially the grammar notes are really gold. I can read fluently, it's only that i now have to learn more words and learn the grammar. May the Lord grant you success. There is nothing better then reading the words of God in their original language. This way you can meditate on the words without to be fearing to read a wrong translation (i found not 1 perfect translation). And i do not learn Arabic from just 1 person. That's why i like to learn Arabic on the internet. I rewatch the same topics and subjects on different channels also on youtube. It helps with learning it faster and learning Arabic from different angles. Also with books, i started with Madinah books, but in the phast i used to learn from others also. Anyways, God bless your learning. Salaam Following links are a very good effort to explain meanings of Quranic words as per Classic Arabic Dictionaries by Parvez Ahmad. I dont agree with all his explanation but as far as meanings of root words are concerned he has done a great job. http//qes.no/Lughat/LughatVolum-I.pdf http//qes.no/Lughat/LughatVolum-II.pdf http//qes.no/Lughat/LughatVolum-III.pdf http//qes.no/Lughat/LughatVolum-IV.pdf Hope it helps.

To be honest women are my weakness. I believe I have very strong willpower except this. Anyways, its not just two dead bodies rubbing at each others organs. Why don't you get married, I know in Chechnya marriage is encouraged at your age. That way you wont be chasing women and have that part of life satisfied with a good woman so you can focus on becoming better in other aspects of life. Enjoy!! You are right. Marriage is a test of becoming one with God. If one cannot even become one with a fellow human how can they become one with God? And for those who think men are superior to women and that they need to be taken care of in everything have already failed. Each gender complement the other. And today we also have scientific studies of where each gender excels over the other, and each trait is needed for more or less each section of society in equity. Feminist movements are also wrong where there is nearly an aggressive stance towards men and they almost have overtaken the oppression of men. The tone is often beating down on men as a collective while it is the instinct (Satan) to blame and people's lack of spiritual development which we need to help and not just humiliate. Instinct on instinct is not a good combination. Also related to everything I have been teaching openly and in private. Everything goes hand in hand. Be well Amenuel

So, he was an angel? What about Eve? As far as I remember she was not mentioned to be in eden? She was also in Eden before they left. An English translation of the Quran - 235 And We said "O Adam, reside you and your mate in the paradise, and eat from it bountifully as you both wish, and do not come near this tree, else you will be of those who have wronged." And i can give more proof if you want, also from the Torah. I clearly read there that she also was with Adam in Eden.

My computer game dream was triggered by the subconscious mind. It was not entirely nonsensical and had a "story", but I do not take that as divinely inspired. I have had dreams of flying (by myself) too. Imagine me doing that flapping my arms. I did once fall into the alluring eyes of some intimidating being. And I have been sitting in a ring with people around me of which people I did not recognize who they were. Very well, you are right that this is off-topic. Be well Amenuel
