My salaam, wowwwwwwww guys thx for the reply ive come a long way for me to be able to see all those views. All this makes a lot of sens.So from what i understand now, its not about how many times you pray a day, because even the worst of ppl who do all those prayers a day,are there, killing each other and dividing themselves in sects in matters that are not important. But what is important, is the simple fact of remembering Allah everyday of our lives, wowww, beautiful.

But when people ask about their 'failed' meditation sessions (the one where they don't achieve calmness, even infuriated or irritated or annoyed even further or JOIN-ing the chaos of mind or nothing happened at all but more planning for tomorrow and next year) i humbly could conclude from my own experience that nothing we ever experience is worthless No these experienes are not worthless, they are the ongoing process of learning... Regards,

Hi Enquirer, Peace peacefulmuslim and all. I dont believe we can connect with god literally. I think connect means to closely follow his commands. God cannot be comprehended or imagined or perceived of in any way.(42;11, 7;143, 6;103) We only know what he causes/makes happen by observing his signs.(the whole of creation)and asking(thinking/dua) what his signs indicate.(i suggest these signs in creation indicate one creator and guider for everything that exists, and to comply with the commands he sends). When I said 'connect with God', I meant connection in a spiritual sense. Through my prayers, I connect to God and feel closer to God. I agree God's enormousness can be understood through life, but He can be realised from within us. Peace!

Peace be upon you, I agree, we have to be WISE in calling to the God's path. There is a way to subliminally plant seeds. We dont have to come out from the beginning with everything. But there are times we must recognize that it is best to say nothing and keep the peace.

SaLaM Amatuallah Is it this verse you are talking about And do not uphold what you have no knowledge of. For the hearing, eyesight, and mind, all these you are responsible for.

Peace be upon you, There are too many sections, and those sections have too many threads on the same topic. And everyone seems to have a different interpretation of everything. I dont know where to look. (391 (FM) The ones who listen to what is being said, and then follow the best of it. These are the ones whom God has guided, and these are the ones who possess intelligence. You will find that there are many opinons all over the world, but the beauty of it is that truth is clear from falsehood because it is objectively verifyable. All else is subjective, therefore guessing. Ahhhhhhhh isnt standing on dry land clear from trying to walk in the ocean? D

Peace be upon you PM, I think Joe is stating that some of he verses use du'a (call/prayer) while the others use salaa, which is not prayer/call.

Peace be upon you, I have experienced Lucid Dreaming on several occasions. Some were sexual related, the others I realized I was dreaming as I was falling foward trying to fly, I took control and directed where I was flying. It is stated tha the best time to experience this is during the Summer Solstice and that we should OVER SLEEP and FAST in order to reach this state. UNDERsleeping is also a way, but why undersleep when you can oversleep

Peace Wakas, At the end of the day, I find simply sticking to Quranic rules beats any man-made restrictions of understanding. Just compile the likenesses as much as you possibly can (rattilul quranaan tartelaan).

Peace be upon you Salikah, Have you ever read Ayman's aricle translating "salaa" as "learning connection"? It sounds lie what you are arriving at. http//www.free-minds.org/articles/gods_system/name.htm

-Is there a reason for inserting such insults in your posts? I hardly think there is any point in replying to you, except for the benefit of those who are new who read this thread. It does not matter whether commonalities evolve or not. If God has told us to establish salat and does not put specifics on bowing and prostration then it does not matter how we do them...or He would have put more specifications. Or does God run out of words? I haven't insulted you, I simply laughed at this impossible position. Allah has detailed His Quran fully, hence, when it comes to salaa, if it meant a ritual prayer (ritual means a structured method of doing something and not something haphazard), then it would be fully detailed in Al-Quran. You cannot have a structured congregational prayer in the absence of structured ritual method, what are you talking about?? Does Allah care or not?...do you know for a fact one way or the other?...which one? If you don't know, then the following ayats makes it haram for you to continue in your ignorance based practices and assigning lies and conjectures to Allah and His Deen -From what I know of Allah's deen, it is also haram of you to deny something that is evidently true and call it a lie. Is that not the meaning of kufr? To hide what you know? What evident truth am I denying/hiding? There are many verses of the Quran where it is evident that there is a physical salat. Then produce the ayat where it tell you how to perform it, simple. I am not saying that is all salat is, I am saying that there is both a physical duty and a duty of committment to Islam and to the prophetic line. We can prove that salaa means commitment, however, until you can produce an ayat where Allah details how to physically perform a ritual prayer, then you cannot prove your assertion, simple. Lastly, please stop quoting ayah in order to demean my stance without adding any evidence on your side. Your aim is obviously to insult rather than the education of whoever reads this thread, which is what I intended it to be. If you are not capable of answering my questions or contributing to the discussion, then please stop posting. I haven't insulted you nor demeaned you. I post ayats to wake you up to what you are saying. You have no regard for ayats 733 and 1736, this is apparent, however, you'd better get in touch with them and soon. I used to be just like you until some people help me to wake up to those ayats. Use you head. Btw, I don't have to prove anything...YOU do, because you claim that there exists a physical/ritual prayer, thus, YOU MUST, via Al-Quran, prove it now by producing the ayat where this ritual is fully detailed. If you cannot do this, then simply admit that and stop saying of Allah and following things of which you have no knowledge, simple.

SaLaM No one is worshipping the Kabbah. They are making pilgrimage there as we owe God that. But i agree, the rituals associated with the pilgrimage are somewhat questionable.

Salaam all, First of all... thank you very much to brother Wakas for helping uploading it. The intended audience for this article is actually my local Sunnis. Thus, the final form will be in Indonesian. I created the English version first so that I can have feedbacks from this forum. The real purpose of the article is to stimulate the curiosity of anyone who has always taken the word Shalat to be mere ritualistic prayer, to actually learn "more" and to criticize him/herself so that he/she can independently render a conclusion of the meaning of the word in Quran. I wrote this article in a "polite" and "careful" way... I've seen that provocative articles tend to make closed-traditional minds to be.. well... more "closed"... Thus, I hope by this polite-and-non-judging article, my local Sunnis (or might be anyone who doesn't take Quran to be complete and enough for Guidance) can re-evaluate their current understanding... So, feedbacks are most welcome... I was just afraid that this article might be too polite/careful (or probably the other way around). Many thanks in advance. Wasalaam, =adley=

Salaam Pazuzu, Very good that u posted this. I guess that there still people even here who still use this phrase. I mean how can someone salute someone who is dead!? But maybe the sunnis don't want to realize that Muhammad is dead. Peace Sis Maria

Quote My point is that you associated "=" salaa with following "Al Quran" (capatalized). This is definately not the case as Musa never had "Al Quraan" (capatalized) to follow. According to Shabbir Ahmed, the best way to understand what salat is is to study what kind of people the musaleen are An extract from QXP 7022 Except the MUSALLEEN. (Who are Musalleen? NOT the so-called ritualistic praying ones). 7023 ----- MUSALLEEN are those who always follow the Divine System. 7024 ----- And in whose wealth and possessions is a KNOWN RIGHT. 7025 ----- For him who asks for help, and for him who is deprived. 7026 ----- (And Musalleen are) those who have conviction in the Day of Judgment. And hence, in the Law of Recompense. 7027 ----- And those who are fearful of their Lords Law of Requital. 7028 ----- (They know that) Verily, their Lords Law of Requital makes no exceptions, so that none can feel secure. 7029 ----- Those men and women who preserve their chastity. 7030 ----- They have intimate relations only with their spouses that is, those who are rightfully theirs through wedlock. For such relationship they are free of blame. (Aw = Or = That is = And. 235-7). 7031 But anyone who seeks beyond this, those are the transgressors. 7032 ----- (And Musalleen are those) who guard their trusts and duties assigned to them, and their pledges, as a shepherd guards his flock. 7033 ----- And those who are truthful in witness and stand by their testimony. 7034 ----- And those who consolidate and protect the Divine System. 7035 ----- (Musalleen are the ones who collectively build it on earth and) inherit the Paradise in the Hereafter. Such are the honored ones. http//www.beacon2005.com/Surah_70 Peace
