The non specialized English language does not have an equivalent to the word "bashar". Both bashar and insaan is "human" in English.

A symbolic interpretation is not equivalent to a literal translation. Try taking 218 or 639 literally, for example.
Adam, literally, refers to one "person".

Good thinking. If you read the verses after 230, the malaika say that they only know what God has taught them!

Quiet possible, imo. Or that we existed before the creation of adam. This could be how the malaika knew our behavior.
