An article about Allah.
-
Allah is not from a nonexistent root called Alif-Lam-Heh. That root does not exist. Eleh is no more than AL prefix on a third person singular pronoun suffix. Simple grammar. It means "the he/she/it". Allah is a slightly more evolved form, meaning "the like he/she/it". Basically it refers to someone's status as a being.
Be well
Qarael AmenuelBeing? Like some sort energy?

A word is what anybody's understanding can make of it. You cannot teach nor change nor do anything to instil any meaning of any word into a person without that person having experienced the necessary at whatever level to realise the meaning you want to transmit. That is, whatever you want to transmit will adjust to what the person is capable of perceiving and therefore receiving.
Allah, God, Dios, whatever is what the receiver can make of it. By itself is nothing. Allah, God, Dios, whatever, has been transmited as the vehicle for a concept of spiritual knowledge which is very, very, very wide, from the most base and elementary understanding of origin of being to the most developped and visionary and experienced knowledge of divine inspiration and vision.
Torturing a word will not make it speak louder nor clearer. It has nothing to confess, but the hearts of the people are the ones that know its meaningin whatever measure.

And sometimes we think we can make words speak louder and clearer by using a bigger font size? or highlight the colour? where in fact it is just "double torture"!!!!
Our words run out quite quickly and we keep repeating the same old boring stuff.
The word "Allah" has been discussed to death, until it became" There is no god"!!!!!
Anyway ,a word of warning,if the meaning of the word "Allah"carries on being discussed ,it might disappear altogether ,then there will be no god?
Do you think the forum will still function? Silly I know, like wanting to know what "Allah" means?
GOD bless.

Peace. If it follows the patterns of human behaviour what will happen is that a new word will be introduced or invented to take the place of the word "God", we know what happens with euphemisms and today particularly. starting witht he acronymsand follwwing with the "promotion" of everything without thanging anything, we will find some "Existence Coordinator" "Executif Chief of Universal Being", or whatever. ?Real, real fun!
Salaam

Yes indeed huruf, call "him..." Allah,Al-Rahman,GOD, The Principal Co-ordinator...You will never run out of names. Does it really matter?
Perhaps "Allah" is worth more credits than the other names?I have known this to be said and other daft irrelevant nonsense!!!
GOD bless you.

Salam everyone i found this post which 9 years old which im currently reading https//free-minds.org/forum/index.php?topic=16710.0

I noticed in some verses in the Quran the word Allah is missing it's alif for example this verse
2165
The ones with alif is the one marked brown & those without the alif is marked green.
-
The green are possessive construction.
Salaam
Possessive construction? ???
-
The green are possessive construction.
Salaam
Salaam huruf
The words in red are "lillahi" where "li" is harf e jar meaning "for". It is a "jaar majroor" construction. A possessive construction is like "kitab ullahi".
@Sardar
The attachment of "li" with the word Allah removes the letter alif and make it "Lillahi" which means "for Allah".

The name of article is "THE LINGUISTIC ANALYSIS OF THE TERM ALLAH"
You did not accept the conclusion that Allah means "THERE IS NOTHING FOR HIM" so what value you assign to the article brother.

Sorry if my answer seems bit dull but the meaning "THERE IS NOTHING FOR HIM" is off as you showed in this quote
323 ...... .......
So which translation of this verse make sense
They are called to book of Allah
or
They are called to book of THERE IS NOTHING FOR HIM
So the word would mean well...The God. Is this answer good? -\
