Torturing a word will not make it speak louder nor clearer. It has nothing to confess, but the hearts of the people are the ones that know its meaning in whatever measure.It seems some topics here are repeating the "torture" again and again,with no gain whatsoever to anyone.
And sometimes we think we can make words speak louder and clearer by using a bigger font size? or highlight the colour? where in fact it is just "double torture"!!!!
Our words run out quite quickly and we keep repeating the same old boring stuff.
The word "Allah" has been discussed to death,until it became" There is no god"!!!!!
Anyway ,a word of warning,if the meaning of the word "Allah"carries on being discussed ,it might disappear altogether ,then there will be no god?
Do you think the forum will still function? Silly I know,like wanting to know what "Allah" means?

Peace.If it follows the patterns of human behaviour what will happen is that a new word will be introduced or invented to take the place of the word "God", we know what happens with euphemisms and today particularly. starting witht he acronymsand follwwing with the "promotion" of everything without thanging anything, we will find some "Existence Coordinator" "Executif Chief of Universal Being", or whatever. ?Real, real fun!

Yes indeed huruf, call "him..." Allah,Al-Rahman,GOD, The Principal Co-ordinator...You will never run out of names. Does it really matter?
Perhaps "Allah" is worth more credits than the other names?I have known this to be said and other daft irrelevant nonsense!!!

I noticed in some verses in the Quran the word Allah is missing it's alif for example this verse

The ones with alif is the one marked brown & those without the alif is marked green.

The words in red are "lillahi" where "li" is harf e jar meaning "for". It is a "jaar majroor" construction. A possessive construction is like "kitab ullahi".

The attachment of "li" with the word Allah removes the letter alif and make it "Lillahi" which means "for Allah".

I read "Allah" without translating it. I could not find any satisfactory explanation for this word. Corpus says it is a nominative proper noun. http//corpus.quran.com/wordmorphology.jsp?location=(22551)
Some say it's a proper, some it's a common noun and some say it's a special term like Man of Faith and the person in this article.
There is even verses that says Allah being The One God.
